Recommend me a safe YouTube video to mp3 converter without ads (Windows 11)
Hi, I’m looking for a way to convert YouTube videos to MP3 for Windows 11. I’ve tried some online tools before, but they always have a lot of pop-up ads, which is annoying and not very safe to use. I hope to find a software without ads that can be safely installed on the computer. If you have any good recommendations, especially those that are proven to be safe and have a good user experience, please share them with me. Thank you very much for your help and suggestions!

How to Roll back from Windows 11 to Windows 10?
I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 11, but I’m regretting the decision and would like to go back to Windows 10. Since I made the switch a while ago, I’m wondering if there’s an official solution that would allow me to downgrade without having to format my PC. Is there a way to do this without losing all my data and settings?

Memory Dump Collection using Procdump.exe for App Service (Windows)
A memory dump is a snapshot of the contents of a computer’s volatile memory (RAM) stored for analysis or debugging purposes. ProcDump is a command-line tool designed to monitor applications for CPU/Memory spikes and generate crash dumps when spikes occur. Administrators or developers can then use these dumps to pinpoint the cause of the spikes. This guide will walk you through collecting a memory dump using Procdump.exe for applications hosted on App Service (Windows).
Access the Azure Portal and navigate to the desired App Service.
Click on “Advanced Tools” and then “Go ->” to access the SCM/Kudu site.
On the SCM site, go to Process Explorer to find the PID of the w3wp.exe process, which is the application worker process.
Use the Debug console to open the CMD option.
Navigate to the System Drive and access the sysinternals path:
C:devtoolssysinternals>
Note: The drive letter may vary (e.g., D: or C:)
Locate the procdump.exe file in the sysinternals directory, which will be used for running commands.
To collect logs for the application worker process, use the PID obtained earlier.
Use the following command to collect a full memory dump.
Procdump.exe -accepteula -ma [PID] [Path]
Example: procdump.exe -accepteula -ma 5100 C:dumps
Initiate the dump collection and reproduce the issue the application is facing.
After the memory dump collection is complete, access the specific path on the SCM site to download the collected memory dump.
You can consult the following article for further details on Procdump commands and various parameters to utilize depending on your specific needs and troubleshooting scenario.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procdump
It’s advisable to gather multiple sets of memory dumps because analyzing several dumps can reveal patterns and facilitate the development of an action plan to resolve issues effectively.

Empowering Change: Tech Champions Transforming Lives in India
In the heart of India’s tech community, remarkable individuals are leveraging technology to bring about significant change, particularly for those with disabilities or living in poverty. Here are three inspiring stories of how Microsoft MVPs in India are making a difference.
Unleashing Potential: Prof. Sang-Mook Lee’s AI Revolution
On June 10th, 2024, the Microsoft Office in Mumbai hosted an enlightening community event leveraging the visit of Prof. Sang-Mook Lee from Seoul National University, South Korea. Prof. Lee is a distinguished Korean marine geologist and computational scientist, who is quadriplegic due to a fatal injury in his spinal cord. He delivered a thought-provoking talk on “Can AI Help People with Disability?” to near 100 attendees, in-person and hybrid combining online. His insights highlighted the transformative power of AI in creating inclusive environments for people with disabilities.
Prof. Lee has an impressive background as The New York Times described in detail under the title of From a Wheelchair, a Scientist Pries Open South Korean Minds. He suffered a neck paralysis due to a car rollover accident, while conducting a joint geological survey with a research team from the California Institute of Technology in the United States in 2006. Even though this accident left him paralyzed, he returned to work within a year and continued to contribute significantly to the field of marine geology and computational science. He has been an advocate for using technology to aid people with disabilities, developing assistive technologies. He also mentioned during his speech at the event “I love Microsoft since it provides the most inclusive technology for people like me including the voice recognition technology in Windows which I use every day”.

How to optimize matlab code about Radar Signal Process?
Hi MathWorks Team,
I received some matlab code from TI company for Radar Signal Process.
The code is too slow to use as TI didnt optimize anything about the code.
They just told me some tips to optimize the code like below.
You can use Parallel Computing Toolbox and modify the code to support parallel computation.
You can also store few intermediate results in the form of .mat file and reuse the results instead of computing it multiple times.
If there are other good ways to make better performace, please share ideas for me.

Revenue report for SaaS ISVs: Contract duration field to help with Rev Rec
Hello,
We are a SaaS ISV, and this is about revenue reporting for Marketplace SaaS offers that have (say) an annual commitment/contract but a monthly billing cadence. I.e., neither a month-to-month commitment plan billed monthly nor an annual commitment plan billed annually.
In such cases, the TermEndDate and TermStartDate (ref: the Data Dictionary for Revenue reports) in the exported CSV appear to denote the overall commitment’s start and end dates, and not the “entitlement start date” and “entitlement end date” for the billing event that the row corresponds to. This implies that for a monthly billing event of, say, USD 100, the ISV must separately infer the usage period for which these $100 are to be recognized over, as there is no other column in the CSV dictionary that codes the entitlement start and end dates.
Therefore, this is a request to add an additional column for “ContractTerm” or similar that explicitly communicates the contractual context in which the other date fields of this billing event row should be interpreted – these values will likely be one of P1M, P1Y, P2Y, P3M (ref: Marketplace SaaS REST API). The other alternative is to add explict “ServiceEntitlementStartDate”, and “ServiceEntitlementEndDate” fields which encode the period over which this billing amount has to be recognized over.
The above screenshot is an example of billing events over four consecutive months linked to a one-year commitment contract.
Thanks,
Sid

Excel template
In our company we have created our own inhouse Excel style. I’ve made this into a template by merging the style with a new workbook and saved this as a .xtlx file.
I’ve saved this in all the XLSTART folders I could find, but also in the custom template folder. This should be enough to be able to start up Excel and see all the cellstyles we have created. Unfortunately this doesn’t work. When I open a new worksheet, the styles are not visible. I’ve troubleshooted with Copilot, and tried all it suggested, but nothing worked. I’ve restarted Excel and my computer, but that doesn’t change anything.
What am I doing wrong?

Upcoming Username Changes
Few things. First, can you maybe switch the popup to not appear on every new page, it gets old real quick. Next, can you add some sort of validation in the form, so we know what usernames are OK, preferably without having to hit the button first? Lastly, is space a supported char? Is dot a supported one? Can we have a proper list of what’s supported/unsupported?

Azure API Center – The ultimate service to streamline API Governance across your organization.
Assume you joined an organization today that produces hundreds of independently deployed & hosted APIs and you now carry the responsibility of managing all these APIs from different teams across the entire organization. This can be a lot of work, right?
What if I told you there is a way to streamline API development and governance through centralization of APIs and simplify your experience enforcing design patterns across all development teams in your organization. In this blog, you will get to experience first hand the responsibilities of an API Platform team in an organization. Buckle up and prepare for action!
To get the most out of this blog, I advice you to open 2 separate tabs to;-
follow along with this blog
open the referred unit for practical steps
Imagine this, you have just joined Contoso Corporation as an API Platform Engineer, and after joining the organization, you discover the following issues: –
There are different teams operating independently, with each producing their own set of APIs.
These different teams are using different API design philosophies leading to inconsistent API design across the organization.
There are duplicate APIs because these different teams have no organization to know which APIs currently exist within the organization
Some APIs are ungoverned and not maintained, leading to potential security threats
You biggest responsibility in your role is to streamline API development and governance to ensure best practices are being implemented across all these teams. Your key stakeholders are API producers, API Consumers the API Platform Team. Read more about the roles and responsibilities of each of these teams.
Luckily, you already know of the perfect tool to help you achieve this level of API organization and governance within your organization. Azure API Center. Now, let’s get to work.
Create an API Inventory
First, you want all APIs produced in the organization to be consolidated in one centralized location. You can choose either to add all APIs personally or have representatives from the individual teams register their APIs into your organization’s API Center. Learn to register APIs through the Azure portal or Azure CLI to API Center at step 3.
To sort, arrange and easily navigate these APIs, you define mandatory API metadata that will be required for every API that will be registered in your API Center.
Example, for Contoso, it is now a requirement that all APIs, regardless of the team producing it, to assign an API Approver who will be single point of contact for all matters regarding the API. All APIs must also have a status property to show whether the API has gone through the mandatory compliance review or not.
These properties and more will allow you to easily sort and filter through the API inventory. Learn to define metadata properties for APIs within the organization at step 2
Enable Linting and Analysis for API Governance
Second, every team producing APIs needs to design and develop APIs following your organization’s API style rules. To improve the development experience and avoid a lot of back and forth after reviews, you onboard all developers to using API Center’s extension for VS Code to apply linting that will detect common errors and any inconsistencies that don’t conform to your organization’s API style rules. Read on how to define and implement your API style rules
Early Detection of Breaking changes
In your investigation, you also noticed that some API versions introduced breaking changes after release to API consumers and you want to avoid this for future iterations. For this, API producers in your organization use the ‘Detect Breaking Change’ feature in the API Center VS Code extension, to discover versions with breaking changes early enough before they are rolled out. Read on how to detect breaking changes in VS Code
API Discovery & Consumption
Before any team begins the development of a new API, you want them to have an easy way of discovering the available APIs in the organization.
You recommend that all developers use the API Center VS Code extension to quickly perform a search to see all registered APIs in the organization.
To expose all APIs to both API producers (internal) and API consumers (external), you also deploy a self-hosted portal website for all APIs. Read on how to set up the API Center portal here
3. To help API consumers easily integrate these APIs into their applications with no complexities and without manually writing HTTP requests, you onboard them to use API Center to generate SDK clients for selected endpoints with their preferred programming language. Read on how to generate and API Client using API Center.
Now, Contoso has a centralized API inventory to track all APIs regardless of their development team, type, lifecycle and deployment location. This simplifies the development, governance, discoverability and consumption of all organizational APIs. Complete the Introduction to API Center module on Microsoft Learn to earn a badge after completing the Contoso scenario.
