Calculate Total Hours Worked / Night Differential of Multiple Personnel having Different Shifts
Hello everyone! First time to post here. 🙂 Been working on this sheet on and off for two weeks now and i just cant get the right formula for this requirement.
I’m running a store that has at least 10 personnel that is working on different shifts. (Please see below existing template)
As you can see, i have one sheet for multiple personnel. Here is what i wish to accomplish.
1. To get total hours work based on the start of shift time and not on the clocked in by the personnel.
2. Night differential if personnel reaches 10pm to 6am of work
3. Number of late in minutes. Late clock-in from the start of shift and late clock-in from the number of allotted break time.
I’ve filled up the first row just to show the proper figure to display there after computation.
*Shift schedule is 2pm to 12am. That is 10hr shift less the 2 hr break time. hence, 8hr work shift
*Shift ended at 12:16am. Personnel acquires night differential as he worked from 10pm to 12am. hence, 2 hrs ND.
*2pm to 10pm shift starts. Personnel clocked in at 2:09pm. hence, the 9-minute late. He was able to clock-in before allotted break time. so late is just coming from the start of shift.
***Note: Personnel Time-in and out are downloaded from biometrics system. i just copy and paste to excel. 🙂
Hope someone can shed a light if this is something workable in excel.

Force UTC in all views
SharePoint stores all Date&Time values as UTC and by default it will display them according to the user’s regional settings.
In a timecard application, I need to work with fixed hour values which will not change when DST switches. As I do not need to handle different time zones, the best approach would be working with UTC only.
Is there any way to force SharePoint to only display UTC values in any views? Maybe some hack directly in the site’s code using SP Designer?

Users being prompted for phone despite methods being disabled
Recently we pushed a change to disabled authentication with anything except MS Auth app, software OATH, or FIDO2. Despite this, some users (no discernable correlation between them), are being prompted to register their phone number when signing in, and they are still not allowed to use the phone methods (SMS/Voice call) for sign in.
Checking the evaluated authentication policy for these users shows the “Status” for phone methods as being Enabled, however clicking the settings for SMS shows that the method is not usable for sign in.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar and would know how to prevent users from being prompted for phone registration in future.

Revenue report for SaaS ISVs: Contract duration field?

We are a SaaS ISV, and this is about revenue reporting for Marketplace SaaS offers that have (say) an annual commitment/contract but a monthly billing cadence. I.e., neither a month-to-month commitment plan billed monthly nor an annual commitment plan billed annually.
In such cases, the TermEndDate and TermStartDate (ref: the Data Dictionary for Revenue reports) in the exported CSV appear to denote the overall commitment’s start and end dates, and not the “entitlement start date” and “entitlement end date” for the billing event that the row corresponds to. This implies that for a monthly billing event of, say, USD 100, the ISV must separately infer the usage period for which these $100 are to be recognized over, as there is no other column in the CSV dictionary that codes the entitlement start and end dates.
Therefore, this is a request to add an additional column for “ContractTerm” or similar that explicitly communicates the contractual context in which the other date fields of this billing event row should be interpreted – these values will likely be one of P1M, P1Y, P2Y, P3M (ref: Marketplace SaaS REST API).
The above screenshot is an example of billing events with a P1M frequency in the context of a one-year commitment contract. There is no separate column in the CSV schema indicating contract duration.

No active Leases in Windows DHCP gui , but when check over Command Shell there are active Leases
Hello ,
We want to Monitor active Leases in DHCP with CheckMK.
It works so far .
We create an own Scope . In this Scope there are two IP Adresses .
When an Server becomes one of this both IP Adresses the we become an active Lease .
This Lease brings the Monitoring Software to an Alarm .
We setup an Leasetime for this Lease under the Scope Settings to 5 minutes.
The Target should be that the Monitoring Software brings an Alarm when one of this two Leases or both are aktive.
But we want to become back an green ( good ) Monitoring Message , when the Server who becomes the IP Address is shut down and the Lease Time from 5 Minutes are gone .
Means then there are no active Leases at all .
But now our Problem .
We shut down the Server and after 5 Minutes aktive leases under DHCP Server was empty .
BUT
When i put in this command : “netsh dhcp server show mibinfo” then i become back this info :

WHY: Edge Canary crashes after opening it

This is SO frustrating. It started about a week ago. Edge on my computer, is not affected and works perfectly.
I have read almost everything about a fix from turning off sync and deleting AppData/Local/Microsoft/Edge SxS/User Data and rebuilding it from scratch … NOTHING helps, and it is very frustrating.
Is there a fix for this?

Workspace & DCR Transformation Simplified
In this blog, I’m going to focus on a common yet very important use case: transformation (workspace and DCR) transformation.
With transformations in Azure Monitor, you can filter or modify incoming data before it’s sent to a Log Analytics workspace. Transformations are performed in Azure Monitor in the data ingestion pipeline after the data source delivers the data and before it’s sent to the destination. The data source might perform its own filtering before sending data but then rely on the transformation for further manipulation before it’s sent to the destination.
The following diagram illustrates the transformation process for incoming data and shows a sample query that might be used.
Before we begin, it’s important to understand why to use transformation and the supported tables for the same.
Our focus in this blog is going to be around workspace transformation and DCR transformation. Let’s delve into the use cases for both:
Workspace transformation
It’s recommended to use workspace transformation for platform logs (collected via diagnostic settings) and logs collected using MMA (legacy agent).
The workspace transformation data collection rule (DCR) is a special DCR that’s applied directly to a Log Analytics workspace. The purpose of this DCR is to perform transformations on data that does not yet use a DCR for its data collection, and thus has no means to define a transformation.
Prerequisites for creating workspace transformation:
A Log Analytics workspace where you have at least contributor rights.
Permissions to create DCR objects in the workspace.
A table that already has some data.
The table can’t be linked to the workspace transformation DCR.
I recommend going through our public documentation for step by step guidance to create workspace transformation.
In my use case, I’ve created a transformation rule on DeviceEvents table to keep only those records where ActionType contains “Antivirus”
Once the transformation is configured from the Azure Portal, it creates a workspace transformation DCR (if not present) & appends the ARM template of the DCR with the transformation logic.
To validate this transformation logic, we can browse to the respective log analytics workspace > Logs and run a KQL query to check if DeviceEvents table and the ActionTypes it’s capturing. In my use case, it’s retaining only those records where ActionType contains “Antivirus” as shown below:
DCR Transformation
This transformation technique is best suited for the logs collected via AMA. It’s recommended to update “transformKql” with relevant KQL logic under data flow.
I recommend going through our public documentation which talks about structure of transformation. Also, check our public documentation for step by step guidance on creating the transformation logic.
In my use case, I’ve created a DCR transformation logic to drop those records from Syslog table where ProcessName contains “Kernel”.
I already have a Linux VM which is sending Syslog to my log analytic workspace via AMA.
Let’s browse to the DCR associated with this VM and then browse to Automation > Export Template > Deploy > Edit Template as shown below:
The template should have all the required facility names defined for Syslog (under data sources). Once it’s validated, check the “dataFlows” section and update the “transformKql” logic and “outputSteam” as shown below:
Here we’ve defined a steam for Microsoft-Syslog to discard the rows if ProcessName contains “kernel”. Once the ARM template is updated, Save the changes and hit Review and Create so that changes could take effect.

To validate this transformation logic, go to the respective log analytics workspace and run a KQL query to check if there are any rows in Syslog table where ProcessName contains “kernel”

Simulink turn off data logging
Hello ! I do have the following problem: I have a very big simuling model, with a lot of subsystems. In this model a lot of signal have already logged. I’m making a test environment to run this model, and I have to test the result of the simulation. I have to log only a few data, but in the model there are approximately 150 logged signal (and it’s made the simulation much slower). How to package a MATLAB web program
I am currently working on a software package that is packaged and distributed as a web program and deployed to the server. My software needs to contain a folder with some pdf files in it, and in the code I use something like ".path" to access the current folder path.
I have 3 questions:
1. If you publish to the web program for others to use, when someone else accesses the server to use the program, the statement ".path" will access someone else’s computer or the server, if it is someone else’s computer, how to implement my software to call the pdf file.
2. My requirement is to implement the fact that when others use it, you can download pdf files or other files (png files), how to achieve this.
3. When others use it, the address of the save,load,imread,imewrite function access is my server or someone else’s computer, if it is someone else’s computer, go back to the first question, how to preload the file when the software is opened.I am currently working on a software package that is packaged and distributed as a web program and deployed to the server. Sharepoint Calendar view formatting
Hello, I am looking to add an icon to an item in a calendar view of a SharePoint list. In my list, a choice made in the category column adds to the content of the object column. It works quite well, I took inspiration from this page : https://alexanderhenkel.dk/post/010224-formatting-add-different-icons-to-a-choice-column/
I would like the same icon to display in calendar view mode. I made several attempts (JSON) without success.

Incoming Webhook Doesnt seem to be working
Hi, i have recently tried to add the incoming webhook to my channel but encounter the something went wrong error that indicated little about what is failing.
Although the error message popped up there is still an entry in the configured webhooks. And when removing it for reconifiguring it yielded this error.
Will anyone be able to advise how i can troubleshoot and fix the issue?
