Export Planner Premium (PWA) to be reimported in MS project desktop app
Hi,
While trying to export a project from the Project Web App (as part of the Planner Premium), one would expect some backwards compatibility with MS project desktop app (legacy software…). One must export to Excel first to be able to import the excel file into MS project desktop app. But this does not work at all… many, many tweaks and modifications of the Excel sheet (tab names, field names, outline level numbering, etc) are necessary to hope some sort of “clean” import.
Considering the many limitation that PWA exhibits, a scenario where user hits limitations and want to migrate to full featured desktop app sounds reasonable and desirable. Migration should be native.
