Need to check if local authentication is disabled for Document Intelligence (formerly Form Recognizer)? We have two options to enable the authentication as per the documentation found on Microsoft Learn: Quickstart: Document Intelligence (formerly Form Recognizer) Studio – Azure AI services | Microsoft Learn. After enabling authentication, you’ll need to test and verify which types are active. This blog post will provide step-by-step instructions to help you test and confirm the authentication type for your deployed resource.
Step by Step: How to test which type of authentication is enabled for your deployed resource
Go to document Studio by clicking here as per highlighted in screenshot:
Once you are on Studio Page, click on any of the options under document analysis as per screenshot:
For testing, we will select “read” option
Now, please make sure that you are on correct resource. For that, please click on settings as highlighted in screenshot:
Now you will get option to select directory and resource. Make sure you are on correct subscription where your resource is residing and then select option “resource” as per the screenshot below:
Please select correct resource from the list . In my case it is policytest2. so I will select it and click on “Switch Resource” as per below screenshots
Click on Yes to switch your default resource.
Scroll up and click on document intelligence studio.
Under Document analysis, go back to Read again.
Click on Read and you will see below screen
Now click on Run Analysis.
You will see below result- which means that local authentication is disabled for this resource, and it is unable to authenticate the request using the Keys from Endpoint
Note: If local authentication is enabled, after clicking on “Run Analysis” you will not get any error.
