Teams Classic Client Slipping Away
The Teams classic client has been replaced by the Teams 2.1 client. Microsoft will block access to the Teams classic client for people running the app on unsupported platforms in October 2024. The final block swings into place for everyone on July 1 2025. The migration to the new client appears to be going well, so I’m not sure if many will miss the old client.

Outlook show add service prompt
We have exchange 2016 on-prem.
Suddenly some users are prompted with a “add a service” window, while using outlook, which ask for credential with a message that “ no work credential are found” and showing the “local” domain account credential as “email’
we cannot understand which service is referring to since we did not make any change to the organization
Any idea why is this happening ?
It happens only to some users not all.

Hello! I am having trouble with a xlookup formula and need gudiance in how to resolve.
Here is the issue:
In Column H I have the following formula H3 =MID(C3,21,3) which displays 131
Now on column N3, I have this formula: XLOOKUP(H3, Final!B4:B140, Final!C4:C140) but i am getting a #NA instead of getting “cash. Any thoughts? see attached.

Microsoft Purview Scan on Azure SQL Server DB issue
Hi @All,
I’m new on Microsoft Purview.
I have create a Azure SQL DataBase and i want scan with Purview.
1) Created a “Data Map”
2) Created a “Assets”
3) Created a “Data sources”
In Azure Database Server my user is in the “Reader” and “Managed Application Reader” group.
In the database I have set the authentication method as “AAD and SQL”.
I set a secret in “Key Vault” with login information for the database owner.
When I try to run a scan from Purview, the connection test fails.
1) With credential “Microsoft Purview MSI (system)”
2) With “SQL Authentication” using Key Vault
I don’t know where I’m wrong.
Checking the configuration on Azure SQL Server in “Microsoft Entra ID” I see that “Microsoft Purview access policies”
it is not Governed
Can anyone tell me how to fix the connection issue?

Two microsoft certification id’s under the same email address
I have completed my Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals exam on Pearson VUE . But the mcids in the mail received after completion and the Microsoft learn tab which is under the same email is different . So I’m not able to access any of my certifications . It was told by the microsoft support that the copy of the certificate will be send through mail after 48 hours but that was also not done . Can somebody help me access the certifications on microsoft learn as i contacted every support forum live chat but nobody was able to help me out .

Exchange distribution group membership auditing logs
Dear community,
Is anyone here able to report on changes made to the distribution groups you manage?
I managed to configure advanced audit logging in AD and the 4761 and 4762 events are now logged, however:
when changing the distribution group membership directly in AD, only one entry is logged in the Event Viewerwhen the same change is done through the Exchange Control Panel, I get flooded by events that make me think that the way Exchange removes a specific member from a DG is by removing them all and then adding them again except the user being removed
Can someone provide details on this? Any workaround?

What’s new in Microsoft Intune: April 2024
You don’t need me to tell you that automation and AI are hot topics. However, the key to getting the most out of these technologies is cloud-native management. We’re leading the way with Intune, consolidating tools for unified endpoint management and improving productivity and security for enterprise IT admins and end users. This month, we’re happy to announce new capabilities for more efficient device management.
More secure and more productive with app supersedence
Keeping applications up to date has two crucial benefits:
Security: Unpatched software can leave organizations exposed to known vulnerabilities.
Productivity: New features and capabilities afford new ways to get work done.
With the arrival of updated app supersedence, it’s now easier for IT admins to keep Win32 apps up to date. IT admins can now add an app to Intune and define a supersedence relationship with an existing app, updating to a newer version and setting the availability to auto-update.
From a productivity standpoint, this capability also eliminates the need for users to keep track of app updates or manually update applications themselves.

More productive troubleshooting with Microsoft 365 app remote diagnostics
When users have issues with applications, support professionals often need to look at application diagnostics. These logs are usually accessible only after navigating several layers of menus, and most end users need real-time assistance to find and send those diagnostics to the support technician. With a new remote diagnostics feature, Intune streamlines the process for getting diagnostics from Microsoft 365 apps running on iOS and Android devices.
To enable this capability, navigate to Device diagnostics > Tenant Admin.
Then, an admin sends a Collect Diagnostics command from the Troubleshoot pane.
Rather than directing users on how to retrieve a log file, a message is sent from Intune to the end user with the diagnostic request.
Once the end user grants permission from their device, admins can access diagnostics and re-request them without additional interruption to the user for seven days.
When an admin looks up the user from the Troubleshoot pane, the Diagnostics tab will show the logs requested and ones that are available for download.

Windows update distribution report
IT pros need to have visibility into the status of monthly quality updates on their managed Windows devices as a matter of security and productivity.
Now, a new Windows update distribution report within Intune provides easy-to-read information on what quality updates are running on which devices. To access the new report, navigate to Reports, select Windows updates, and select Windows Update Distribution Report.
The report can show all device information or can be limited to specific device tags in the scope field. It includes co-managed devices and displays update distribution as a percentage of the total device population.
Users can get granular per feature version details, selecting an individual update. They can even access reports on the devices that need updating but haven’t yet applied it.
From this view, device counts can be selected. This will open the report to show the devices in that count and some additional device information, which can be used for troubleshooting or exporting for analysis.

New languages supported in Copilot for Microsoft 365
Starting today, we are rolling out support for Copilot for Microsoft 365 in an additional 16 languages: Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmal), Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian. These join the growing list of languages in which Copilot is already supported: Chinese (Simplified), English (US, GB, AU, CA, IN), French (FR, CA), German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (BR), and Spanish (ES, MX).
In addition, we are also making Chinese (Traditional) available on Copilot for Microsoft 365, meaning that users can now to work with Copilot using that language just as they can in free versions. We will add Chinese (Traditional) to the list of supported languages as the last few known issues are resolved. Learn more about supported languages for Microsoft Copilot here.
We are always improving. Today, Copilot for Microsoft 365 may not yet understand every colloquial expression or linguistic convention in a given language. We are continually refining Copilot’s language capabilities and encourage users to provide us with actionable feedback. • Have an active voice in the Viva Engage communities that matter to you. With each community suggestion, Copilot provides a summary of the community’s purpose and recent trending posts to inspire how you might like to join the conversation.
• Participate in Viva Engage campaigns. Copilot suggests campaigns sponsored by your leaders and/or aligned with your interests. It also summarizes the campaign’s purpose and recent posts to help you contribute to these shared initiatives.
• Post on Storyline in ways that improve culture and productivity for yourself and others. Copilot includes a library of research-backed post suggestions that encourage best practices like recognizing one’s teammates, sharing your knowledge or learning goals, and communicating your plans for the future.
While Copilot in Viva Engage cannot yet answer questions about Viva Engage data – this is planned for the future – Conversation Starters can currently provide context to help you create posts based on your own Engage network activity. When you choose a suggested Conversation Starter, it will serve as the basis of your collaboration with Copilot. This gives Copilot additional information about your task at hand. For example, when you choose a community conversation starter, Copilot will help you brainstorm ideas for your post based on recent themes of conversations that are happening. If you choose a campaign starter, Copilot will help you start drafting a post based on the campaign goal and ways others are participating in the campaign.
You can also choose to collaborate with Copilot without selecting a Conversation Starter. In this case, Copilot in Viva Engage will assist you to create a great post for Viva Engage in general. You can always provide Copilot with more information about what you’re trying to achieve, and in fact, that is encouraged!

Email alerts for sharepoint action “DownloadedFile”
Hi,
We are trying setup alerts for files being downloaded on specific executive sharepoint sites. We have created a custom alert policy in security.microsoft.com for that specific site and did few test downloads. We have not received any notifications for these activities. Tried searching the audit logs manually and there are no entries for these activities. Is there any specific setting that needs to be turned on in order to trigger the alert policy? We have activated “Reporting” in Site collection features.

Flexible communications for frontline workers: Teams Phone keeps frontline workers mobile and connected with dedicated numbers and devices, making it a versatile solution for various industries and job functions. For instance, a retail store associate can easily respond to customer inquiries about product specifications and availability, or nurses can directly connect with their patients from anywhere, across devices.
Teams Phone Mobile: To make it easier to communicate on the go, Teams Phone Mobile gives you a single number across both Teams and the native dialer on your mobile device. We recently announced several new partners including AT&T, Odido, Virgin Media O2, and Vodafone UK will begin offering Teams Phone Mobile later this year, providing expanding coverage and choice.
Voice isolation: When you need to join a call or meeting from a noisy location, voice isolation can help ensure that only your voice is heard. Once you complete a short enrollment process, this AI-based advanced noise suppression will isolate your voice and eliminate all other background noise—including other people’s voices. Voice isolation is now generally available.
Create meaningful engagements with an intelligent and connected calling solution
Sometimes a phone call can make all the difference, helping you drive clarity and make decisions more quickly. Teams Phone gives you intelligent capabilities that connect your business and enable you to keep up with the pace of work.
Copilot in Teams Phone: Use the power of AI to work more flexibly and intelligently, automating the administrative tasks of a call, such as capturing key points, task owners, and next steps, so you can stay focused on the discussion. Copilot in Teams Phone supports both VoIP and PSTN calls and is available to use during or after a call in the Calls app.
Intelligent call recap: One of the best meetings features will soon be available for calling. Intelligent call recap can provide AI-powered insights and recaps of your VoIP and PSTN calls in Teams. This feature will be generally available later this year with a Teams Premium or Copilot license.
Queues app: The new Queues app creates a workspace for both supervisors and employees engaging with customer calls. When a call comes into the queue, users are notified and assigned with the options to accept or transfer the call. Supervisors can add users to different queues, supervise queues, manage workloads, monitor performance, and train team members to better engage with customers. The Queues app is currently available in private preview and will be generally available later this year as part of Teams Premium.

OneDrive Adds New Offline Capabilities
Last October we updated OneDrive for web with a number of new features and enhancements to help you swiftly retrieve your files and content no matter where they live in your organization. Continuing with our ambition to give you simple and fast access to your files, we’re now launching offline mode, which brings both significant speed improvements and offline capabilities when using OneDrive in your favorite browser. Offline mode is now rolling out globally to OneDrive work and school users.
Using offline mode without an internet connection
Offline mode enables you to do the following when you don’t have an internet connection:
Open and interact with OneDrive’s “Home,” “My files,” “Shared,” “Favorites,” “People,” and, “Meeting” views.
View your folders, file names, and metadata such as file owner, size, recent activity, last open date, and more.
Use the “My files” view of OneDrive for web to rename, sort, move, or copy files and have those changes sync to your OneDrive when you reestablish an internet connection.
Open locally stored Office and non-Office files (files marked as “available offline”) in their native app and make and save edits.
Offline access to OneDrive helps you stay productive even in environments with unstable or unavailable internet connections.
Using offline mode with an internet connection
Offline mode also lights up new capabilities and performance when you do have an internet connection. For example:
You can designate files or folders as available for offline access directly from OneDrive for web.
You can free up local storage space by making your local files or folders online only directly from OneDrive for web.
You will experience up to 3X faster loading times when viewing and interacting with your files in OneDrive in your browser and in the OneDrive app in Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
The first two actions previously could only be competed in File Explorer on a PC or in Finder on a Mac. Now, when working in OneDrive for web, you no longer need to task switch to perform these actions. If you’re a fan of using OneDrive via your browser, we think you are going to love offline mode. Read on to learn more about how it works.
With offline mode in OneDrive, you’ll be notified when you lose your internet connection.
Offline mode leverages local cache to improve performance
Offline mode uses your device’s local storage to store certain file information such as file name, size, author, last date accessed, etc. This is made possible through the OneDrive Sync app, which intelligently stores a cache of your files’ metadata locally.
One of the primary benefits of this local cache is that it significantly improves load-times for OneDrive in your browser and speeds up viewing and interacting with your OneDrive files in your browser or OneDrive app in Microsoft Teams and Outlook. By accessing your content from your local cache instead of fetching it from a cloud server, data retrieval speeds are significantly improved. The result? A smooth OneDrive experience that’s insulated against slow or intermittent connections.
Furthermore, this enhancement has the added advantage of bypassing cloud service-related throttling issues. This is particularly beneficial when working with extremely large collections of files, numbering in the hundreds of thousands. You get smoother and faster access to large volumes of files without any hindrance.
Getting started with offline mode in OneDrive
To begin using offline mode, ensure you have a Windows or Mac computer running the latest OneDrive sync app. Next, go online and login to OneDrive for web in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome and this will trigger an automatic one-time set up of offline mode. For more information on the requirements, current limitations and how to opt out of offline mode refer to the following support article. (Note: offline mode is just starting to roll out and is not yet available to all customers.)
Once you’ve set up offline mode, if your internet connection drops or if you decide to access your OneDrive without internet whether you are on plane, in the park, or somewhere else, you will find that you can still access OneDrive and browse, organize, move, copy, and rename your files. Any offline modifications you make will be synced once you reconnect to the internet. You always have the control to disable (and later re-enable) offline mode in OneDrive.

OneDrive Files On-Demand in the browser
The OneDrive feature Files On-Demand helps you access all the files in your OneDrive through Windows File Explorer or Finder on Mac without having to download them and use storage space on your computer. Files On-Demand also gives you the option to select files and folders to be always available (stored locally) on your computer, even when you’re offline.
Now, with offline mode, you can control the Files On-Demand feature directly in your browser. When you are online and working with your files in OneDrive for web, you can now select files to always be always available on your computer. Conversely, if you want to free up space on your computer, you can now easily mark offline files to be online-only. This can now all be accomplished directly from your browser, previously you could only do this from File Explorer on a PC or Finder on a Mac.
When offline mode is enabled, you can make files available for offline access from OneDrive for web.
Offline mode makes it easy to work with all kinds of files when you’re using OneDrive in your browser. For example, if you’re working offline and want to open a PDF, you can just left-click on the file to open it directly in your favorite PDF editor instead of a browser-based PDF previewer. You can then make your edits, and next time you’re connected, your changes will be synced back to OneDrive.

OneDrive for web with offline mode lets you work smoothly and efficiently with slow connections or even no connections. With added support for Files On-Demand, you get more control of your experience when using OneDrive in your browser. We can’t wait for you to try it out. We welcome your feedback. Hello,I need some help with this let formula. The way it works now is that it combines multiple tables in one single table without blank rows.I’m not able to add one more filter to it. I need to display entries in the final table based on one reference name. I’ll explain below and attach the xls file to simplify things. Each row in the sheets: tables A B C represents a different task. In the first column of each table A B C I assign the name of the person that is in charge of a particular task. Next to each table A B and C (in column N) I have a list with the names of each person. There will be a maximum of 5 names in that list (5 rows). Let’s say these names:Maria OneAlex TwoJohn ThreeMark FourLarry Five At the moment, the let formula will collect all entries & persons from tables A B and C and combine them in one final table Z.
