Uncertain of the Cause: Black Screen
Seeking advice…
As I worked on editing photos on my computer with music in the background, the screen suddenly went dark but the music kept playing. Upon pressing Ctrl Alt Delete, the menu displayed on the screen as usual. Opting to log out, I expected to see the login screen, but it wasn’t visible.
Thinking a thorough cleaning might help, I powered off the PC, unplugged it, and carefully removed and cleaned the graphics card and memory components before reassembling everything. However, upon powering it back on, the monitor received no signal.
After rechecking that all components were properly seated, I tried again, but alas, the monitor remained blank.
The PC seems to be functioning fine, only the screen shows no activity. It worked momentarily after using Ctrl Alt Delete to end the session, leaving me puzzled. Could this be a sign of a failing graphics card? I am uncertain, as the issue arose right after it initially appeared to be resolved. Any insights on what might be causing this perplexing situation?
