problem with page numbering
Good morning, I have a technical problem with the WORD file.
I’m writing a master’s thesis and I have a problem with page numbering.
I tried to do it myself, but I messed something up.
What do I want to achieve? – page numbering so that it is visible from the 4th page, i.e. on pages 1, 2, 3 there should be no number, only from the fourth.
What is the file status? – when adding numbering, there is no number on page 1, the numbers appear on page 2 and start from 1…
I also used videos on YouTube, where one of the presenters showed that you need to have some page breaks and add section breaks, something like that, but it didn’t work.
What can I do?
When I add numbering, the number does not appear on page 1, which is okay, but 2 pages have number 1 which can be removed with the other option on the first page, but number 3 cannot be removed in any way

Markdown Language: An Essential Tool for Programmers
Hello, I am Anas Abuelhaag, a Microsoft Student Ambassador from Egypt, currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering.
Imagine you’ve written a code that prints “hello world.”
Next, you decide to upload it onto GitHub, To showcase your work, but hold on a sec, before you commit, Markdown is here to make writing. Markdown makes writing you documentation a joy, a breeze.
Why is Markdown Important in Programming?
Readability and Simplicity: Easy to see,
Markdown’s syntax is simple as can be.
Documentation: For docs, it’s the king,
Helping you write almost anything.
Version Control: In Git, it’s a must,
For messages and logs, in Markdown we trust.
Portability: Plain text files that move,
Across platforms and tools, they easily groove.
Community and Ecosystem: Tools abound,
In GitHub and more, Markdown is found.
Markdown makes your projects clear and bright, it make it accessible, professional, markdown’s the tool that’s perfect for you.
Getting Started
First, you need a place to write Markdown. I’m using VS Code. There are many editors for Markdown; use this link to explore more options. If you’re using VS Code, just add the extension “.md” to your file, and to see the preview, simply press “Ctrl+Shift+V”.
Writing a Paragraph
To write a paragraph, just start typing. It’s as simple as that!
Creating Headings
For headings, you simply use the ‘#’ symbol. You can create up to six levels of headings. For each level, add another ‘#’. For example, for a level 5 heading, use ‘#####’. Hope it’s easy till now!
Here are some examples:
Bold, Italic, and Strikethrough
Now, let’s learn about bold, italic, and strikethrough.
For bold, you can use underscores like this: __word__ or asterisks: **word**.
For italic, use a single asterisk or underscore: *word* or _word_.
For strikethrough, use tildes: ~~word~~.
Examples:
With these simple tricks, your text can stand out,
Bold for emphasis, and italic for clout.
Strikethrough for thoughts that you want to rethink,
Adding Code Snippets
Assuming you are a programmer, you will likely need to add some code snippets to your README file on GitHub. This is easy to do with Markdown. Just use triple backticks to enclose your code:
print(‘Markdown is awesome’)
Example:
Easy, right? Just use triple backticks, and your code will be displayed perfectly. Whether you’re sharing Python, JavaScript, or any other language, Markdown has got you covered.
Creating Lists
Markdown also makes it easy to create lists, which are useful for organizing information. There are two types of lists you can create: unordered lists and ordered lists.
Unordered Lists
Unordered lists are created using dashes (-), plus signs (+), or asterisks (*). All three symbols are interchangeable. Each item in the list should be on its own line, starting with one of these symbols, followed by a space.
Example:
Ordered Lists
Ordered lists are created using numbers followed by a period. The numbers don’t have to be in order when you write them; Markdown will render them sequentially.
Example:
Nested Lists
You can also create nested lists by indenting items under a list item. Use two spaces or a tab to indent.
Example:
Lists are perfect for steps, points, and more,
Organizing content, making it less of a chore.
Use unordered for bullets, ordered for steps,
Markdown makes lists with minimal prep!
Creating Tables
We can dive even deeper with tables. This requires a bit more setup than the other elements, but it’s still straightforward. Here’s how you can create a table in Markdown:
Header 1
Header 2
Header 3
Row 1, Col 1
Row 1, Col 2
Row 1, Col 3
Row 2, Col 1
Row 2, Col 2
Row 2, Col 3
To create a table:
Use | to separate columns.
Use — to separate the header from the rows.
Align the text by adding colons : on either side of the dashes if needed (for left, right, or center alignment).
Example:
Tables organize data in rows and columns,
For neat, structured info, like orderly songs.
Conclusion
These were the essentials to use Markdown language. Of course, there are more and more options, but I think we’ve covered all you need to learn to write anything you want using Markdown. To learn more, you can use the following resources:
Markdown Reference – Microsoft Docs
Writing on GitHub – GitHub Docs
Basic Syntax – Markdown Guide
So dive into Markdown, give it a try, It’s simple, it’s fun, and you’ll soar high!

Remote Desktop Client old installer
Dear Community,
We are having a problem uninstalling and reinstalling an Intune package using our own installation routine. In order to successfully complete this process, we need the original installation file of the old package. Specifically, this is the MSI file of the Remote Desktop Client in version 1.2.4153.0.
The exact version 1.2.4153.0 is required in order to perform the uninstallation properly. I have already tried everything to get the application off the system.
However, only the current versions are available for download on the Remote Desktop Client overview page, and the required older version cannot be found there. Microsoft Support is also unable or unwilling to provide this version, citing the expired version guarantee.
Does anyone here have any idea where I can get this MSI installation file version 1.2.4153.0? Or is there a cleanup tool for the RDC?
Many thanks for your support.

IIS certificate renewals 2048 rsa key
Hello,
When I use CSR mecanism to renew a certificate inside IIS, always IIS create a CSR with a 1024 public key length even if old certificate has a 2048 or 4096 public key length.
Is there a way to force IIS to have 2048 key length by default and not 1024 ?
I checked on registry key or IIS option but find nothing specific.
I tried with IIS crypto to force 2048 but still create with 1024 length.
Thank you

Singularity Problem trying to Solve a higher order ODE with boundary conditions by bvp4c
Hi, i’m trying to replicate the numerical solution of a recent paper "A macroeconomic model with
Heterogeneous and financially constrained intermediaries. Wouters, R (2019)"
(https://www.econstor.eu/bitstream/10419/207747/1/1067667695.pdf) but after many runs and different
modifications i always get the following issue:

solF = bvp4c(@Fvecwithproduction_rw,@Fbcwithproduction_rw,solinitF,options);

The problem is to solve a nonlinear ODE of second order with boundary conditions (q2prime), that’s the equation (32) of the
appendix A.4 from the paper. That is an expression of exogeneous parameters, the prime derivative (qprime) and the function itself
(q). The aim goal is to find a density function q(e) (it’s a price, so q>0) with argument "e" (e>0). The boundary conditions
are qprime(e_)=0 and qprime(e^)=0, where e_ is a lower limit (e_>0) and e^ a higher limit. The functions are:

In the paper, the author identified values of "e" between 0.65 and 1.66 but running this range
on my code it doesn’t work, so i had problems either identifiying the initial values or some equation inside
the Fvecwithproduction function, but i checked each one to avoid errors or anything else. The Fvecwithproduction
function just has the different equations required to get the equation (32) in the paper append.
From a numerical point of view, I would like to get some help or recommendation to establish the origin of the error, or some
help on matlab to find or explore initial values in this kind of exercises.
Thanks a lot

In the paper, the author identified values of "e" between 0.65 and 1.66 but running this range
on my code it doesn’t work, so i had problems either identifiying the initial values or some equation inside
the Fvecwithproduction function, but i checked each one to avoid errors or anything else. The Fvecwithproduction
function just has the different equations required to get the equation (32) in the paper append.
From a numerical point of view, I would like to get some help or recommendation to establish the origin of the error, or some
help on matlab to find or explore initial values in this kind of exercises.
Thanks a lot

How to replace a row in Sheet 1 with rows in Sheet 2 and Sheet 3 based on an identifier?
In the attached excel file:
There are 2 sheets created, sheet 2 and sheet 3 with rows of data, and I want to create a macro to replace the original entry in “list orders export” with the two rows from sheet2 and sheet3 respectively –
For ex, in this example excel, UBS Switzerland AG entry in “List Orders export” sheet should be replaced by the two rows, one from Sheet2 and one from Sheet3 based on the name “UBS Switzerland AG”
so the original row in the “list order export” sheet should be gone and instead the two rows from sheet 2 and 3 are there to replace it. How can I do this?

Word 365 iOS keeps switching to Auto-Detect Headings even when switched off
There is a bug in Word for iOS that causes the “Auto-Detect Headings” option to ALWAYS revert to on. I toggle this setting off every time I open a document, and it turns itself back on every single time I close and reopen the document. This used to be a problem in the past, was eventually fixed, but has now started happening again.

Use calculated column to perform calculation on the “Name” column in a SharePoint library
I am trying to copy the name column in a SharePoint library (1000s files) to another column so that I can then separate the name (by “_”) to produce metadata. The file naming convention includes the metadata, separated by a “_”(xxx_aaaaa_fffff_dd_kkkkk.pdf). Does anyone know how this can be achieved

Printing a Chart Sheet in Excel scaling wrong
A client showed me an issue I can easily duplicate – I initially thought it must be a bug in Excel but if it is its been there a long time as I tried rolling the version of C2R Office 365 back years to a version I had the command line for (A december 2021 release) and it made zero difference.
Basically they have a sheet of data. If they highlight the data and right click the Sheet link at the bottom and select Insert and chose chart it adds a new sheet with the new chart.
The problem is if they print the chart sheet the scaling is completely wrong and they’ll only get 30-70% of the chart. The scaling option etc are all unavailable when they create the chart this way.
Its not printer driver related as the same thing happens printing to the Microsoft Print to PDF driver too.
There are two ways to “fix” it – One is to add a new sheet and copy and paste the chart and then it behaves perfectly. Alternately if you go to the Page Layout tab on the toolbar and click the Page Setup button at the bottom that goes to the old page layout and tweak the paper size (even changing it to the wrong size and then back) it then seems to print ok.
I can repeat this behavior simply typing random numbers into a new sheet, highlighting the figures and doing the Sheet right click, insert chart and it won’t print correctly.
If they just make a chart on the current sheet it works too.
If I do the same on Excel 2010 it works perfectly so it seems to be an introduced “bug” that potentially isn’t encountered often due to the way people use Excel. I had never inserted a chart as a separate Sheet in this way before.
This seems to be broken behavior in Excel so even though I have a “work around” I figure its worth reporting as it seems it might be a legacy feature that is a little broken.

State-Space Model: Automatically naming InputName / OutputName based on InputGroup, OutputGroup
If you take a MIMO state-space model and assign a single name to either the InputName or OutputName property, MATLAB intelligently adds indices to the name for you.
For example, the following will make the input names be u(1), u(2), u(3), u(4)
%Create random model with 4 states, 4 inputs, 4 outputs
G = rss(4,4,4);
%Rename all 4 inputs
G.InputName = ‘u’;
I would like to rename a subset of the inputs (or outputs) to an indexed name. For example, I might want to break my four inputs above into a control group u(1), u(2) and a disturbance group w(1), w(2). However, if I attempt to do this, MATLAB no longer indexes the name. Instead it gives them the same name and warns me that I have duplicate names. This seems like a poor approach.
%Try to rename as inputs and disturbances
G.InputName(1:2) = {‘u’};
G.InputName(3:4) = {‘w’};
The above will just set the names of inputs 1 and 2 to ‘u’, and 3 and 4 to ‘w’. Currently I am manually achieving what I want:
for k = 1:2
G.InputName(k) = {[‘u(‘ num2str(k) ‘)’]};
end
for k = 3:4
G.InputName(k) = {[‘w(‘ num2str(k-2) ‘)’]};
end
Obviously the above is not a painful workaround. But I’m wondering if I’m missing a better approach? I know the InputGroup and OutputGroup allows me to group channels. But this does not link up with the connect() function, which looks at the InputName and OutputName properties. If you take a MIMO state-space model and assign a single name to either the InputName or OutputName property, MATLAB intelligently adds indices to the name for you.

Eu uso o Visual Studio 2022, podem me ajudar?
Grato
