Windows Insider 24H2 Release Preview 26100.1742 Bug – Chrome Tabs mixing and games freezing
Hello there,
After I upgraded from windows 11 23h2 to insider 23h2 beta, i started noticing that tabs were mixing in chrome, or games like fortnite were freezing, and to fix it i only had to focus on said tab, i only had to alt-tab into it and it would get fixed, but it happens very frequently and is really annoying. i then decided to update to release preview 24h2 , as i thought release preview would be more stable than beta 23h2, but the same thing happens.
i will attach a video showing the bug

Azure OpenAI – If I add a data source, it no longer follows my instructions on how to respond?
Hi everyone, I’ve been messing with Azure OpenAI for a few days and find it pretty cool. One issue I have though is I will give it example prompts, and fill in the “Give the model instructions and context” section which works great, but when you add a data source like Azure Blob, it ONLY uses that and ignores all instructions.
I have “limit responses to your data content” under data source disabled.
Is this normal behaviour?
The second issue is that even with this unchecked above, it still only responds based on the documents. For example, I’ll ask about a product and it responds based on my documents. I’ll then ask if a competitor company also offers this product, and it will say that it doesn’t know as that wasn’t found in the documents. I tell it to search online and it says it’s not capable of searching online and can only provide information based on the documents I’ve provided.”
Just a bit confused by that since using ChatGPT directly would have answered that question.
My goal is to have it be a general AI like ChatGPT, as in, it will answer general questions, but ALSO reference our documents. Is that not possible, like is it one or the other?

Analyzing bike sales using Copilot for Excel
Hi everyone, over the last few weeks we have had a series of posts to show you some of the things that are possible to do with Copilot in Excel. Today I want to do some further analysis of bikes for my (fictional) company. At the request of some, I have attached the workbook I used for this and previous posts.
I’d like to dive deeper into the ratings for bike products. I ask copilot:
chart ratings by year for bikes
The ratings are poor and I’d like to expand to the product level, so I ask Copilot:
now show ratings by year by product for the bikes category
I click on the Add to a new sheet button in the pane and the following is inserted into a new sheet:
All products improved for 2017, but ratings for Touring bikes are very low.
Over the coming weeks I will continue to share more examples of what you can do with Copilot in Excel.
Thanks for reading,
Microsoft Excel Team
*Disclaimer: If you try these types of prompts and they do not work as expected, it is most likely due to our gradual feature rollout process. Please try again in a few weeks.

remove click to run with intune script
I’m trying to remove the en-us, es-es, and fr-fr versions of office clicktorun on my pcs to free up space and clean them up. I’m running this script via intune:
<# Sample Data: “scenario=install scenariosubtype=ARP sourcetype=None productstoremove=O365HomePremRetail.16_fr-fr_x-none culture=fr-fr DisplayLevel=False”

$AllLanguages = “en-us”, “es-es”, “fr-fr”

But apparently I’m missing something and it’s not uninstalling the programs. Has anyone done a similar thing or can spot where I messed up?

Multiple form printing
I print a set of forms monthly for hand completion by about 40 building sites. Each form is identical but for Site names and codes and foreman names, which can require editing each month; and the week-ending date for which the from will be used. Forms are printed monthly, either four or five week’s worth, meaning a workbook with four or five sheets, depending on how many weeks are in that reporting month. This there can be 200 forms per month to be printed and sent out.
Previously, each sheet within each workbook was revised manually, and printed by manual instruction.
I now update any site information via a separate single data entry file; likewise the date, which I carry though to subsequent weeks’ sheets using “date + 7”.
I still have a number of areas where it can be improved:
1) If I insert a line into my data entry file then it displaces those below it so that the cell reference used in a given form becomes incorrect.
2) I haven’t been able to print all thirty workbooks automatically, because Excel’s default print setting is “Print Active Sheets” rather than “Print Entire Workbook”. So, I can highlight the required files from the File Directory but when I do, only the first sheet in the workbook for each file gets printed.
My aim is to make all monthly revisions by means of a single data entry file, and to automate printing of all workbooks together. There are other forms we print for monthly hand-completion that could benefit in the same way.

Time-Based Scheduling – Help Needed –
I kindly ask for assistance with a task I need help automating.
I have a schedule of tasks to be done by four different employees and need to build an output that
Assigns the employees based on their scheduled work hours (A3:C6) to tasks (column J) that last 30 minutes (column K)Has a running counter of tasks per employee (column H) so that it when the employee has completed 4 tasks the employee then no longer is assigned tasks. I also need to be able to control the number of tasks; that is, it may be 4 tasks or it may be 2 tasks before the employee is flagged to not be tasked anymore (column J)I also need the flexibility to change hours worked (column D), prep time (column E), and duration of tasks (column K)I also need to be able be able to only schedule an employee after that employee has gone through the prep time (column E)
For example: Employee starts at 3:30am, works duties, the first main task at 7am but before starting must prep for 45 minutes (6:15am) so this employee can’t start a task before 6:15 as the employee needs to prep as well as can’t work no more than 4 tasks and won’t be assigned anymore
I added the helper column (column M) to help manage the tasking for column I. Any other columns can be added to make this work

MVP’s Favorite Content from Microsoft Azure MVPs
In this blog series dedicated to Microsoft’s technical articles, we’ll highlight our MVPs’ favorite article along with their personal insights.
Pratheep Sinnathurai, Microsoft Azure MVP, Switzerland
Azure Arc overview – Azure Arc | Microsoft Learn
“I always compare Azure Arc to the Lord of the Rings, seeing it as the one ring to rule them all. If you’re seeking a solution to manage all your Windows and Linux servers, Azure Arc could be the answer. It provides a unified management experience across diverse environments, whether on-premises, in Azure, or other clouds.
Using Azure Arc, I’ve also gained valuable insights into other technologies, such as Kubernetes (AKS) and AWS, through its Multi-Cloud Connector. This feature enhances your ability to manage and govern resources across multiple cloud platforms seamlessly.
In essence, if you’re looking for a comprehensive solution to manage your hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure efficiently, Azure Arc offers the tools and capabilities you need.”

Bring Azure innovation to your hybrid environments with Azure Arc – Training | Microsoft Learn
“This content is comprehensive, helping with the solution support of Azure Arc and the supported resources. Understanding how to innovate with Azure Arc is essential nowadays, and by contributing Azure Arc content to the community, without a doubt, this training is the one I most like to recommend.”

Networking architecture design – Azure Architecture Center | Microsoft Learn
“Networking is core to Azure, and core to architecting excellent solutions. While the architecture center offers a range of guidance from foundational to niche, the networking section should be common to nearly all deployments. It is unique in its importance to Azure design.”
*Relevant Blog: A lot of my content would relate to Azure Networking, and I do have a recent blog highlighting this area – Exploring – Network Design in the Azure Architecture Center – wedoAzure
Luke Murray, Microsoft Azure MVP, New Zealand
“Hyperscaler Cloud offerings, like Microsoft Azure, offer businesses worldwide to compete on a global stage, but with the ability to scale up business offerings comes more complexity and additional risk of outages. One of the key pillars (for good reason) of the Azure Well-Architected Framework is Resiliency, and Microsoft Learn offers a great way of checking off, using a data-validated approach, of not only your Resiliency at a Technical level, but Business as well, using resources, such as the Design review checklist for Reliability.”

Labels
Among the Word templates is one for name tag labels. Unfortunately, it provides for only 8 labels per page and therefore does not accord to the Avery shipping label (J8163) that you would use. It permits 10 labels. And I see no way to use the label template to prepare labels using the label tool under Mailing. Any suggestions?

Workflow Messages are Empty when Posting to Mobile App Private Channel
Hi,
I have a workflow setup on my teams private channel. I modified the workflow to post as “User” (otherwise it does not work). I am able to post message to the private channel successfully but the message is empty only on mobile private channels. The messages contain an adaptive card.
I am able to see the message on my desktop application private channels, but not on my Teams mobile app private channels. There is just an empty message display on the mobile app.
Is there any settings that I need to change to fix this? Or should be the payload be different in this case?
This payloads works for desktop private and public channel and mobile public channel. The issue seems to be on mobile app private channel.
