Having trouble switching laptop to Balanced Mode for power settings.
The primary motivation for switching to the Balanced power setting is due to frequent laptop sleep mode activation occurring approximately every 2 minutes. Despite my power and battery settings being appropriately configured, the issue persists.

Hi ,
I have a choice column inside SharePoint document library for storing Year .
I would like the default value to be calculated value for eg: 2024
I tried using the formula =Year(Today()) but that doesn’t work.
Is it possible to get the default value of the column to the current year and are there any alternative?
thanks in advance

PC Reset from Cloud – how to debug
Is there a way to debug PC reset using Cloud option? It seems that I have not encountered any single machine (yet) that would not be complaining about inability to download files from the Cloud making this option useless.
Are there some prerequisites? Eg if the base OS is 3 years old and was never updated can it still download the “latest” image? Are there some logs (I found only something like CloudRec.log but nothing helpful inside)? WinRE itself can work on network as I have seen that the process is downloading two CAB files from http://tlu.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com/filestreamingservice/... so something else then “downloading” is the problem.

How to convert cr3 to jpg in bulk without losing quality on a Windows PC?
Hi all,
Does the Photos app on Windows 10 support .cr3 image format? All my photos taken on my Canon camera are saved in .CR3 extension. Unfortunately, I can’t open the images with neither the Photos or the Paint app on Windows 10.
Is there any way to convert cr3 to jpg in bulk on Windows 10 or Windows 11? It could be great if the conversion is lossless as I don’t want to quality loss after CR3 to JPEG conversion. I am open to all free and paid solutions.
Thanks

Can I crack Zip password successfully if I forgot Zip file password?
Hi fellows,
I downloaded a zip file from Internet that contains a bootable disk image of macOS Monterey. I need to make a bootable USB from the image in order to repair my MacBook Pro. When I was trying to unzip the file, it says it is protected by a password. I have to enter the correct password in order to unlock the zip file.
Unfortunately, I don’t know what is the password is. How can I crack zip password if forgot it in this case? I heard it is possible to do that but don’t know what is the recommended way to open a password protected zip file without password.

Banner missing in Send as mail
SharePoint: New Banner web part (updated title area) in SharePoint Pages and News – We’ve made some improvements, now you don´t have banner in Email preview or Send as mail….!
After the update to SharePoint (Online), a banner in a news article does not appear in the Email Preview or when using the Send as mail feature.
Is this the new standard, or just another bug introduced by Microsoft?

My Outlook 2021 Panel bar has changed to the left panel rather than the bottom.
Solutions are to navigate to the Options>Advanced and switch off “Show apps in Outlook”
However this option doesn’t appear.
I have Outlook 2021 Classic.
I wish to have the panel onthe bottom.
I don’t know why this has suddenly changed.

Excel Dynamic Formula
I added a formula to a cell using EPPLus C# as below.
mySheet.Cells[rowNumber, columnNumber].CreateArrayFormula”UNIQUE(FILTER({sheetName}!C:C,{sheetName}!B:B = A{rowNumber}))”));
When I open the generated xlms it shows additional curly braces around the function like below
and data is not populated from the formula.
But when I click on the formula-bar these curly braces disappear and values are populated.

Disable metadata on specific files
Hello,
We use a specific software for the french construction market (Climawin), which are old Windows softwares. The outputs are typically cwx files.
We use to work directly on OneDrive when using this soft. This work can be long (few days of work to start, multiple versions) and the soft makes an automatic backup file every 30 minutes.
The pb is: the real file is small (25Mo) but OneDrive seems to save all versions of the file so it ends up being enormous (10Go).
Is there any way to erase the metadata? or stop OneDrive from saving the metadata for this specific type of files?
Thanks !

How do I permanently delete files, photos from sd card on Windows PC?
I recently wanted to permanently delete some files and photos on SD card, but after deleting them directly, I found that they could still be recovered through some data recovery software. I would like to ask, is there any way to completely clear these files on the computer to ensure that they cannot be recovered? Has anyone tried some effective tools or methods that you can recommend? Thank you!

Onedrive File Failed to be Synced
I have 3 Excel files in a Sharepoint folder and with “Add shortcut to Onedrive”, lets call it A, B, & C. Now I can access these files from my Onedrive folder. Then I created Ms Form with each of these excel files. So, whenever new data is submitted in the Form, there will be a new row in these Excel.
It is expected for these Excel files in my Onedrive to be synced every time the Form get a new submit.
The problem is now all 3 files in Sharepoint are updated with no issue, but 2 out of 3 files in Onedrive is not updated as expected. A & B are successfully synced, but not with C.
The file C in sharepoint last updated at 23/09/2024 but the file in Onedrive last updated at 20/09/2024. It made no sense to me because the other 2 files has been successfully synced.
Could you please help me why this issue happened?
Thanks in advance
