INCREASE VALUE ON SEPERATE SHEETS
Attention Advisor,
I am currently using excel spreadsheet for costs and quotes on customers.
I have one sheet up with part numbers and my costs on them, and what would make it very simple and beneficial for me is if I could set up separate sheets and have the costs get adjusted accordingly. For example lets say in sheet #1 it would have my cost in there, and sheet #2 it would have cost plus 10%, sheet #3 would be cost plus 20%. But if my costs change, it would be fantastic if I could adjust the price on sheet #1 and the other sheets would follow suit and adjust it automatically, rather then going into each individual sheet and adjusting every single time my cost goes up. Is anything like this a possibility?

Number assigned to Teams user is presenting INVITE wrong
I have a peculiar issue and I wonder if anyone else has had this issue or experienced anything similar.
At the tail end of migrating a company to Microsoft Teams voice, most of the issues have been rectified apart from two numbers. When ever we assign these numbers to a user, they cannot call out, assign a number and they work.
Immediately think its the SIP Provider, as in other cases the number has not been ported correctly. However from the investigation it seems on the INVITE as the number leaves teams, it is incorrect. On the offending number the P-ASSERTED-IDENTITY is showing as (tel:)
The working example given shows this as a SIP Record.
The CONTACT header is different. My Carrier has assured me the number is set up correctly and it this is coming from Teams

Use of Copilot to generate analytic reports from my tenancy
It would be useful to be able to use Copilot to generate usage/analytics reports from within my tenancy, without having to create Flows, PowerBI queries etc.
E.g. “Give me a list of all the files in SharePoint that have been shared with people from outside the organization. Include the date the share was created and the name of the person who created it. Tabulate these in an Excel spreadsheet.”
Try it for yourself, it doesn’t work. It gave me a small number of files in a table within the response window, and refuses to search beyond our ‘home’ SP site.

Outlook search and other issues after Exchange 2019 CU14
Hi,
After Exchange 2019 CU14 users can’t:
– Search in cached mode.

All of the above works perfectly in OWA.
We did install the latest hotfix that should fix the search issue but no. We have installed latest outlook and reinstalled a computer, nothing helps.

Pipeline Error for SSIS
We are currently upgrading from a SQL 2012 Server to SQL 2022 on Windows Server 2022. We are using ODBC in SSIS to connect to an AS400 database. Our projects are currently set to a deployment version of SQL 2012. As long as we don’t change that setting, the packages run fine in Visual Studio 2019 with the latest SSIS extension. But, they do not work when deployed to SQL 2022.
When we deployed to our SQL 2022 server, or upgraded to a deployment server level of SQL 2019 or 2022 in Visual Studio, we received “Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED. The PrimeOutput method on xxxxx returned error code 0x80004005…” All parts of the data flow task have green check marks, but the DFT as a whole fails and the error is in the Progress tab.
Any ideas on what we can do to get this to work on our new server?
If we add a source without a destination, it doesn’t error out. As soon as we add any destination, the error occurs when deployed or when the project deployment server is set to SQL 2019 or higher. This makes sense to me since the pipeline probably isn’t initiated until a destination is added.

How to generate report of all distribution list usage over 90 days
Hello,
I am looking for an Exchange online Powershell script/command to run a report for how frequently all of our distribution lists are used over a 90 day period (if there is a way to generate the report in EAC that would be great too). I have found out how to run the report for 10 days, but I cannot find a command or way to generate further in the past. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Your thoughts serializing arrays to manage state in excel (by way of inventory tracking)
I’m curious what you all think of this approach for managing state in excel with minimal computational impact. I’m sure after a few thousand different items to track, performance may be implicated, but the formulas initially feel like they will create static values that don’t have to be recalculated with any frequency. Skip towards the end if you just want to see the formulas.
I think one of the important ideas here is that this formula can be used within a table column the same as any other formula that doesn’t return an array, the difference being that calculations are not lost between steps of the row and the only information a calculation needs is the limited state info in the prior state.
Any comments welcome. If you’ve found a better way to do this, I’d be curious to know. I am limiting myself to using only native excel formulas/functionality plus excel labs.
P.S. The formulas have one or two undeveloped ideas because they are not essential. For instance, there is one inline lambda that uses a switch to return a comparison function for data masking that has only implemented the equals and does not equal operators.
**********Description********************
General idea is such – write a series of formulas that serialize and deserialize arrays and combine it with an efficient mechanism to access the most recent state. The example uses the idea of lots of items where each lot has a quantity and cost – transactions can either increase the quantity (and cost) or decrease it. The state being managed is the existent lots, their quantities, and their costs.
columns are simple:
control; date; lot; qty; cost; state
So here is the overall structure:
table formula checks control column to see if the current row impacts the state –
if it doesn’t, return nothing,
if it does, move on
if it is the first control number, just serialize the row data
if it isn’t, find the prior state and update it
The way it updates the state is by
1) deserializing the prior state
2) determining whether the prior state already included the current row’s item
3) updating that value if so or just returning the current rows values,
4) filtering the prior state to remove the current row’s item
5) vstacking the filtered array onto the current row’s entry (potentially updated), and
6) serializing the current state.
Using 40 rows as an example, I might end with a serialized state that looks like this:
lot_H,65,650;lot_I,100,1000;lot_J,45,450;lot_K,70,700;lot_L,30,300;lot_A,135,1350;lot_B,150,1500;lot_C,145,1450;lot_D,90,900;lot_E,120,1200;lot_F,80,800;lot_G,170,1700
and deserializes to this:
lot_A 135 1350
lot_B 150 1500
lot_C 145 1450
lot_D 90 900
lot_E 120 1200
lot_F 80 800
lot_G 170 1700
lot_H 65 650
lot_I 100 1000
lot_J 45 450
lot_K 70 700
lot_L 30 300

More menu missing when viewing app on iOS
I have a static tab app where I have noticed that the more menu (i.e. the ellipsis at the top right of the screen) is no longer appearing when running the app in Teams in iOS. The more menu appears in the app in Android, desktop, and web. I looked at another static app I created and observe the same.
Is this a change in Teams for iOS? If so, how do users navigate to the About or reload functionalities?

Entra ID Group Writeback Option Missing from Portal Web Interface
Yesterday in the middle of the day, the group writeback option for Azure AD (Entra ID) security groups and M365 groups was removed from the properties section for each group. (It’s normally below the “Microsoft Entra roles can be assigned to the group” y/n). This is regardless of whether you utilize portal.azure.com or entra.microsoft.com.
I had connected to the portal earlier in the day and saw it, then re-authed later in the day and it was gone for all groups. This was verified by a co-worker.
You can still see the writeback option via the group ‘list’ by adding the writeback column (i.e. Home -> Groups -> All Groups -> Manage View -> Edit Columns), but I’m curious if this was an intended change? I’ve heard that group writeback support might be going away from Entra ID Connect in favor of Entra Cloud Sync, but that shouldn’t affect the actual group attribute for the writeback status within the Azure portal.
When searching, I haven’t found anything mentioning the change so I was curious if anyone knew something that I couldn’t find.
Thanks.

Apparent MX issue impacting only one email account and only if sourced from OUTLOOK.COM
I have had an issue for years with email not being received to my Godaddy registered domain with an email hosted by Google. The common element is that the non-received emails are all sent from OUTLOOK.COM. These messages are not received in my inbox or spam. If I log into OUTLOOK.COM using that email address as the UID I see a blank screen, no sent or received emails at all. From my perspective, this seems to be an internal OUTLOOK.COM MX misconfiguration. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Who should I contact to try to resolve this issue?
PS: As a test to prove this issue, I would appreciate someone from the community to source an email from OUTLOOK.COM to two different emails on the domain; one will be received, and the other will not. Let me know if you would be willing to help me test this, and I will PM a reply with the email addresses.
Thanks

PS: As a test to prove this issue, I would appreciate someone from the community to source an email from OUTLOOK.COM to two different emails on the domain; one will be received, and the other will not. Let me know if you would be willing to help me test this, and I will PM a reply with the email addresses. Thanks Read More
I2C WriteRead with no restart, IoT libraries and FT4232H device
Hi everyone,
I am porting an app and trying to use the FTDI Ft4232H device to communicate to some I2C devices.
When I use the “old” dongle(going to be obsolete) and I2C call to the device, I get the correct transaction and read results from the device.
However, when I use the IoT libraries and the “WriteRead” command to do the same thing, the library issues a restart and the transaction fails.
Can anyone help or point me to:
A library that does a correct multi byte read without a restart?A way to do this with the current IoT libraries?
Here are the “using” statements in my C# code:
using Iot.Device.FtCommon;
using Iot.Device.Ft4232H;
using System.Device.I2c;
Cheers,
Steve

Using microsoft graph to pull calendar data weekly
Hello- I’ve building an app that requests calendar access from users with Graph API. I am hoping to request permissions once and then pull calendar data weekly but I’m not sure if this is possible. I’m using the python ms-graph sdk and the interactive authentication client to request access. I am seeing some things about offline_access scope providing a refresh token but unsure how it works and the docs I found haven’t been helpful. Any help would be appreciated!

Azure AD-Connect Staging Mode server not kept in sync
I have a test environment where the Staging Mode server was not kept up to date with the Active Azure AD-Connect server. When I export the configs on each and compare the 2, there are some major differences. Is there a way I can just import the config from the Active server and place it on the Staging server so they get back to the same configuration?
Alternatively, can I uninstall the staging server then re-install / import the configuration from the Active server?

Construction Startup Scales Operations with AI
Welcome back to Grow Your Business with Microsoft 365 Copilot, your monthly resource for actionable insights to harness the power of AI at small and medium sized business. In this edition, we look through the lens of a startup construction company using Copilot to revolutionize their operations. Did you know there are nearly half a million small and medium-sized trade contractor businesses, in the United States alone, with most firms having fewer than five employees? Limited resources can make completing administrative, project, and operational tasks a challenge, especially for small teams. But what if AI can take the pressure off by handling routine tasks, freeing up time to take on more projects and complete them faster?
How Copilot helps the construction industry scale for growth
We spoke with Nick Masci, principal and co-founder of the Boston-based startup, Industrialized Construction Group (ICG), about the hurdles they faced and the wins gained after incorporating Microsoft 365 Copilot into their daily workflow.
In the dynamic world of construction, ICG stands out by blending traditional methods with advanced manufacturing techniques. This innovative approach not only speeds up construction timelines but also enhances safety and efficiency. ICG’s top challenge was scaling for growth, when growth requires time spent out in the field, talking with customers, and orchestrating complex projects. ICG found that they were bogged down with inefficiencies in extensive documentation and high-volume data management, making accuracy difficult to achieve. Ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members, especially in a hybrid work environment, was tricky and often resulted in miscommunication and project delays.
To ease these pains and transform business operations, ICG now leverages Microsoft 365 Copilot to speed creating customer proposals, reduce time on reporting, and more effectively manage projects.
Simplified customer proposals
Creating customer proposals was time-consuming and inefficient, often requiring extensive manual effort and coordination. Manual effort also impacted the quality and consistency.. Using Copilot for customer proposals in construction projects has proven to be highly beneficial for ICG. Copilot can assist in generating comprehensive and professional content in apps like Word and PowerPoint, reference files and content like past engagements and proposals, as well as bring in information from the web to add context to its responses and the content that it creates. With Copilot in Excel, Copilot can help interpret the data and create visuals and analyses to help employees get insights quickly and focus on ensuring that proposals are thorough and polished. Microsoft 365 Copilot has helped speed up the proposal process (up to six times faster) and improved their quality and professionalism.
Accelerated customer reporting
Generating customer reports was another lengthy process—with a single report sometimes taking up to eight hours and involving three people. Managing and compiling data from various sources led to inconsistencies and errors, affecting report quality and diverting resources from critical tasks. ICG to simplify reporting by. Business Chat can find and analyze the many sources of customer data, across work content, chats, emails, and files, and create first drafts of reports. Microsoft 365 Copilot helped reduce the time of customer reporting (up to half), thereby increasing ICG’s responsiveness and quality of customer service.
Improving project management
ICG faced frequent project delays due to inefficient communication and coordination among teams. The lack of real-time updates and fragmented communication channels led to misunderstandings and slowed down decision-making processes. Collaboration across different departments and project sites was challenging, with teams often working in silos, making it difficult to share information and collaborate effectively. With Copilot in Teams, you can pull insights from project huddles so you can quickly get key decisions and action items. With Copilot in Outlook, you can summarize long project email threads, helping you get right to what you need to respond to.
By leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot, ICG has significantly transformed their business operations with streamlined processes, enhanced productivity, and improved communication. “Our work must scale to an audience and customer base that is 1,000 times larger than it is today,” says Masci. “We want the suite of Microsoft products to not only grow with us, but to also anticipate our needs.”
We are thrilled to see ICG and other companies revolutionize the construction industry with AI. By integrating Microsoft 365 Copilot, ICG has set a new standard for productivity and innovation. As the industry evolves, AI will be key to competitive advantage and growth.

Here’s the latest news on how Microsoft 365 Copilot can accelerate your business
Earlier this week, Satya Nadella and Jared Spataro launched Wave Two of Copilot. Powered by customer feedback, we’re bringing together web + work + Pages as a completely new design system for work. Here is a rundown of key new features announced for every SMB:
Microsoft 365 Copilot Business Chat combines the latest information on the web and your data in the Microsoft Graph to find you the answers you need. The newly introduced Copilot Pages provides a new canvas for you to retain Copilot responses to simplify sharing, editing, and collaborating with them.
Copilot in Excel is now generally available. Additionally, Copilot in Excel with Python was introduced as a no-code way for you to perform advanced analysis with Copilot.
Narrative Builder in Copilot in PowerPoint helps you create first drafts, also being able to use your company templates to keep things on-brand.
Copilot in Teams will soon be able to reason over both the meeting transcript and meeting chat, so you never miss a note or action item from your meetings.
“Prioritize my inbox” feature coming to Copilot in Outlook helps you stay on top of your most important emails by prioritizing them based on your organizational context and content.
Copilot agents are here to help you coordinate line of business tools and orchestrate your business from a single place. They help you integrate your third-party tools, so Copilot respond based on that external data.

WAC Future
I’m curious what the future of Windows Admin Center is?
Looking at some of the extensions like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP you don’t get a lot of feature parity with their MMC counterparts. With Linux available in just about every environment, will there every be in the future a way to manage them inside of the admin center?
Will be the best way to manage this is through Azure instead of the On-Premises Windows Admin Center.
Thanks.
