Since this change my spam e mails have gone from about 3 a day to 50+.

How to designate an uploaded file as cloud only
I am working with the basic personal version of One Drive on a Windows 11 computer. I watched all these tutorials and thought the designation was easy. After all the whole point of the cloud is to get things off the harddrive. But I am confused about the process. It seems some people are saying that I have to designate everything as on demand. I don’t know what on demand means, so let me dispense with the vernacular. I want a number of files that I have uploaded to remain only in the cloud on One Drive so that they do not take up any space on my hard drive. Can anyone demystify this process? I understand once I have accomplished this that the files that are only in the cloud will have a little cloud symbol next to them? Thanks

Stream Apache Kafka data to Azure services effortlessly via Confluent Connectors on Azure (Preview)
In today’s data-driven world, processing and integrating real-time data from various sources is critical for businesses. This data regularly flows between multiple services for efficient ETL, data processing, data analytics and much more! Managing across multiple first and third-party services, orchestrating the data flow, making manual connections between each of these services via connection strings– these are all painstakingly manual processes, time-consuming, and pose a high risk of human errors during the copy-pasting.
Confluent Connectors
Confluent Connectors manage the movement of the data between your and your sink (i.e. destination) SaaS services – ensuring high throughput and low latency Kafka streaming. We have now enhanced the Confluent Connector management experience between your first-party Azure Services and Confluent Cloud using Apache Kafka® & Apache Flink® on Confluent Cloud – An Azure Native ISV Service. This preview feature will auto-populate connection details as dropdowns and thus help bring seamless and error-free end-to-end create experience – all while staying on Azure portal! Today, we announce the preview support for Azure Blob Storage source and sink connectors via Azure portal.
Fig 1. Confluent Connectors on Azure
Confluent Resource Hierarchy
A Confluent Organization consists of Environments, Clusters and Topics nested one within the other. Connectors are nested under clusters and stream data in the form of Messages. These messages are stored within feeds called Topics. The Confluent resource hierarchy is as follows:

How to create a Confluent Connector on Azure (Preview)
You can now move data between your Kafka and Azure Blob storage using Confluent Connectors with a few simple steps!
Note: To create Confluent Connectors, you must have your Organization, Environment, Clusters and Topics pre-configured. If you haven’t created a Confluent organization on Azure yet, check out this doc for detailed guidance. Hurry up, first timers also get a free $1000 credit to try it out!
From the Overview page of your Confluent organization, go to Data streaming and click on Connectors under the same. Alternatively, you can also click on the Configure connectors button on the bottom half of the overview page.
Fig 3. Confluent Overview page
Select your environment and cluster from the dropdown menu. You will be able to see the list of Azure connectors you have created within this cluster.
You can also filter the connectors on the type (Source or Sink) and the Status of the connector.
Fig 4. Connector tiles on Azure
Click on Create a connector. On the right pop-up blade, you can select between Source and Sink connectors, the plugin service you would like to connect with, and auto-fetch your Azure application details via dropdowns.
Fig 5. Create a new Confluent Connector
Complete the Configuration tab for setting up the data formats, number of tasks, etc. Review your selections and then click on Create. Post a couple of minutes, you will get notified that the connector is up and ready!
Clicking on the new connector tile will redirect you to the Confluent UI where you can see the Connector health, throughput and other stats.
What next?
We have some interesting additions to this preview feature planned for rollout soon!
Connector support for additional Azure data services such as ADLS Gen2, EventHub Source, Synapse, Functions, and many more!
Confluent Connector experience across Azure portal, SDK and CLI.

SMTP Relay in Exchange Online
Currently we run Exchnage 2019 hybrid. We have not moved our MX records to Exchange Online yet for specific reasons so all mail flow is through Exchange 2019. That said, nearly all user/shared mailboxes have been migrated to Exchange Online. We also have many devices using SMTP relay through Exchange 2019 on-prem (printers etc.) to send mails mainly internally but also some externally (UPS devices for example). Most of these devices do not support authentication so we have setup a mail connector that uses an IP whitelist on Exchange 2019 to handle this.
If we get rid of the hybrid and move to Exchange Online what options would we have for this type of unauthenticated relay?

Microsoft Store app package digest – SHA-384 support?
Hi There
Does the Windows Store support or plan to support appxbundles/appx/MSIX packages signed with SHA-384 digest? The documentation seems to restrict the hash algo to SHA-256 (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/publish/publish-your-app/msix/app-package-requirements) and this seems confirmed by messages produced when attempting to upload to the Windows Store:
Package acceptance validation error: The package MyPackage.appx uses an incorrect hash algorithm: http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmldsig-more#sha384. Packages must use SHA-256 as the hash algorithm.

excel inventory spreadsheet
I’m new to excel and I’m needing an inventory spreadsheet that will continuously update based off my order entry.
I have 3 separate tabs for the inventory, ”adult t-shirts” “youth T-shirts” “tumblers” and 1 ”active order” tab. is it possible to track the inventory by simply inputting an order?
example: if i enter an order ” X customer, gliden Cotton, 1 item, white, Large, Adult” how can i have that order subtract the number of items based off brand, color, size and if adult or youth?
IS that even possible?

Lost functionalities that I miss so, so, so, so much!
I am devastated that a lot of very practical functions in Outlook have been abolished or so it seems. Here they are:
I seems to be impossible to combine into one .PDF, in a single action, many emails and their attachments. I tried with Acrobat Distiller installed into Outlook and it did not work. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Drag and drop! Used to be able to take an email and drag it into the calendar or the tasks which would open a prefilled form to complete. Actually, we used to be able to drag and drop anything, anywhere.Task application. It looks like an application for people who do not have many tasks to do. A basic app. The old one was much better and it was easier to see a global picture of all the tasks, with all the colums we could select, for example: date received, date due, percentage of completion, date finished, categories. Here again, the new tasks is a basic app.
Please, if there is a way to have this, please let met know. I miss those functions very bad.
Thank you

File Explorer Opens but Folders Take a Long Time to Open
When I open File Explorer (Windows 10), it opens quickly. However, if I try to open a document or right-click it, or if my cursor happens to hover over a different document, it hangs up but will eventually open after several minutes pass. I’ve run disk cleanup/defragment, restarted, but no change. Everything else on the computer works fine, and there is plenty of memory (1.69 TB). I’m running Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019. Would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

FHIRlink connector and Epic on FHIR for Power Platform development
In a recent Healthcare and Life Sciences Blog post, the Health and Life Sciences Data Platform team announced our first release for support for EPIC® on FHIR® connectivity in the to the FHIRlink Power Platform connector. This post covered the basics of our first release, and in this post, we dive into an example built by our colleagues in the Business Applications team in Australia.
Jarrod Huang and Daniel Xu developed an example Canvas app using the FHIRlink connector to interact with the EPIC® on FHIR® rest endpoints to provide direct access to Patient data from Power Platform.
Extend EMR with Low Code
Enterprise EHR systems offer a wide range of capabilities, but they can be challenging to extend for targeted experiences. The Power Platform offers a variety of low code/no code platform tools to build line of business applications. The FHIRlink connector helps bridge the gap by enabling our customers to build business applications that connect directly to their FHIR endpoints, reducing the need for data duplication and other complex integration solutions.
Connecting Power Platform and your EHR addresses unique operational challenges by leveraging your EMR data and customized apps. For example, your Power Platform business application may equip care teams with simplified, digitized task management as an extension of EMR.
The Sample Application
The example developed by Jarrod and Daniel includes a Canvas app using the FHIRlink connector and the Epic on FHIR sandbox.
As a Power App, you have access to over 1000 existing connectors and the ability to develop your own custom connectors for proprietary systems. In the example scenario, the application connects a list of patients in Dataverse with their corresponding Epic on FHIR record.
Once you have the correct patient identifier, you can then retrieve related patient data using the Epic on FHIR endpoints. In the sample application, this means selecting a patient from the list invokes a call to the Epic on FHIR rest endpoint, offering a near real time view of the patient record in the EHR.
FHIR data and AI
Once you have the patient record, you can leverage Microsoft’s OpenAI capabilities using the Azure OpenAI connector. A patient record can include large amounts of complex data, even formatted for end users, as seen in the sample application. This complex FHIR data can be summarized using the OpenAI’s capabilities, highlighting key elements for a simplified view for the clinician.
Check out the video below for a demonstration of Jarrod and Daniel’s example application in action.
As we continue to invest in FHIRlink, we will provide ongoing learning opportunities for our customers and partners through the Health and Life Sciences blog. In the meantime, we welcome your feedback in the comments section.
