Windows 11 and NPS authentication issue
Hi everyone,
I am in the process of testing Windows 11 23H2 and I am having issue with RADIUS Authentication. Radius Authentication is working fine with Windows 10 so I know there is nothing wrong with the Radius. However I seen a lot discussions online and looks like it is related to EAP types and some claiming it’s TLS1.3 related issue. Has anyone got it working and if you did can you please share your settings? My current test settings on NPS end as below.
And my GPO settings are as below
I have all the names format matching (upper case, lower case) for Server name and SSID names.
Thanks

Spilled Array based on different Time Periods and applied periods – Help Needed
I have another issue that I can’t solve. Most info is in the attached example sheet
I have a set of time periods start and end dates in rows across the top running from a few historic years to a few forecast years. These are the dates to work off.
In the left hand column I have the start and end dates of different expenses and a column showing applied periods. The idea being that the expenses will start on the start period, end on the end period and occur based on the applied period. SO one starting on 1st Feb 2022 with applied period of 3 would occur on 1st Feb 22, 1st May 22, 1st Aug 22 etc – once every 3 months from the starting period till the ending period.
These can be either flags – 1 or 0 or show the applied period of say 1,3,6 etc. Ultimately these will be multiplied by the monthly amount so numbers may be more useful as that will already have the number of months to multiply by the monthly amount. This calc will come later so only need the flag or counter at this stage.
Example sheet attached. I want this a single spilled array
Note the time periods at the top will vary
Many thanks in advance. There are some super smart contributors here.

I need a safe YouTube to mp3 converter software for my PC Windows 10
I am working on a PPT recently and I want to add some background music to enhance the overall effect. I need to download a music clip from YouTube, but I have been searching for a long time and I have not found a safe, ad-free YouTube to MP3 converter tool. Does anyone have any good software that can help me quickly download YouTube music to my Windows 10 computer? The music for this PPT is really important and I need it urgently! Thank you!

Microsoft 365 Backup – Azure Grant
Hi,
I’m working for a small non-profit here in the UK, and they’ve recently received the Azure $2000 grant.
Does anyone know if the grant can be used with Microsoft 365 Backup provided through Microsoft Syntex. It says you need an Azure subscription for the pay-as-you-go billing, but it doesn’t appear on the list of Azure services.
Thanks,
Rich

Building Web Apps – A 6-Lesson Course on Linkedin Learning
Why Learn Web Development?
A recent Forbes article estimated that the internet has over 1 billion websites today, with a new website built every 3 seconds. Most businesses prioritize having a web presence, with applications like e-commerce and entertainment continuing to drive traffic on mobile and desktop devices. This makes web development a very useful skill to have in your resume!
So, what programming language should you learn, to get started on this path? Building web apps starts with learning three fundamental technologies – HTML, CSS & JavaScript. These give you the skills you need to structure and style web pages and bring them to life with rich interactions that will enhance your users’ experience. The developer community agrees. In the past few years, JavaScript has continued to remain at the top of the GitHub Octoverse report for programming languages in terms of both popularity and usage.
How can you get started?
There are a number of resources available today to help you get started – including this free open-source curriculum built by Microsoft Cloud Advocates a few years back. This focused on a project-based learning approach that takes you from concepts to code understanding in practical ways that help you build your intuition through hands-on coding.
Since then, we have seen the adoption of new tools and technologies from development containers (like GitHub Codespaces) to AI assistance (with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) that don’t just improve our productivity as developers, but also help us establish continuous learning habits by giving us explanations, helping us fix issues interactively, and sharing “meta-prompts” related to our queries so we can expand our knowledgebase intuitively.
With our new LinkedIn Learning course “HTML, CSS and Javascript: Building The Web”, we revisit the core web technologies with project-based learning and AI assisted development in mind. Go from learning core building blocks, to coding hands-on projects, to learning how AI can be used to expand your understanding and streamline your development.
How is the course structured?
The course is divided into 6 lessons that take you from concept to code. Here is what you can expect for each lesson:
Short Videos – Each lesson consists of a series of short videos that explain a single concept or exercise for easy understanding.
GitHub Repo – The course is accompanied by a GitHub repo that has the starter code and tools required to follow along. Simply fork the repo to get started.
AI Assistance – The course has added segments that help you explore new AI tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT alongside your development journey.
Plus, the repo is instrumented with a dev container. Just launch GitHub Codespaces and get a pre-built development environment ready for your use as a sandbox for exploration.
Lessons At a Glance
The course has 6 main lessons, each with multiple videos for a total viewing time of under 4 hours. Here is what we cover:
Welcome To Your Development Environment – Learn about core developer tools used in the course · Get started with GitHub Codespaces.
HTML Development – Learn about document structure, organization and features like accessibility · Put them all together in a starter project.
CSS Styling – Learn about stylesheets, cascading and inheritance, selectors and layouts, transitions and animations · Use them to style the project.
JavaScript Development – Learn about the DOM, understand variables, functions, closures and event handling · Make your project interactive.
Coding Projects – Adopt the “build to learn” mindset · Understand event-based programming · Understand game mechanics and 2D game development.
AI-Assisted Development – Adopt the “AI-Assisted Learning” mindset · Explore GitHub Copilot · Explore ChatGPT · Explore useful prompts for learning.
Conclusion – That’s a wrap! Let’s talk about resources to keep going.
By the end of the course, it is our hope that you walk away with three things:
A basic understanding of the building blocks of web development (HTML, CSS, JS)
A sandbox dev environment with starter projects (for self-guided exploration)
An intuitive sense for AI-assisted development (debug, explainers & productivity)

cannot download content search result
I’m having a difficult time downloading content search results from the Compliance Portal
I tried to download using with ClickOnce enabled but i still get the following error;
Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
I did some research which pointed me to trying to reload the site in IE but it’s not working since reloading the page in IE rendered the site blank.
I reached out to MS Support and they said it’s a Windows issue, M365 related.
I tried to download using other browsers which I managed to download, however when I tried to run it, the following error appears;
Deployment and application do not have matching security zones.
I tried using other laptops and the result is still the same. I dont understand why downloading a simple file can be so difficult and frustrating.

Customer voice secure data
Hi,
This might be a strange question.
But is there anyway to put a sensitivity or DLP policy/label on a specific customer voice project so the responses in this project are protected from sharing, viewing exporting.
I know we can control access to the data but can we label it?
The data is located in Dataverse for customer voice and I just want to see if anyone have done something like this or if it’s possible?

Channels notifications in Teams for mobile
I’ve been using Teams on my Android phone for a number of years now, experiencing all the changes the app went through.
This one is particularly troubling and counterintuitive:
in order to receive notifications from channels, you now have to select them all one by one, and not from a list, but by typing the channel’s name!!!
Has Microsoft gone completely insane???
This is so user-unfriendly!
What’s even worse, admins don’t have the possibility to change this policy for the users, so either you explain to each one of them how to enable channels posts notifications or you’re left with crickets every time you post something.
This needs to be reversed back as it was, with channels posts notifications active by default and disabled if needed.
Can we voice it to Microsoft?

Practical uses of custom sorts
I can make custom lists for using to filter data I have but I don’t understand in what situation I would create a new list during a primary and secondary sort?
E.g. in MS help section it suggests a custom list of small, medium and large – but how can that be applied to sort data? Surely you’d have to already have a column of small medium and large??? I am confused!

Any simple way to backup Windows 11 to external hard drive?
Hi,
I am using Windows 11 on my five years old HP laptop and there are a lot of important data on it. I was told to backup the data in case of any bad things happening. I want to backup Windows 11 to an external hard drive in a simple way so I don’t need to spend much time on it.
I heard there are many options there but I really want to go with user friend ones as I am not a tech savvy. It could be better to complete the task with a few clicks instead of complex command line input.
Kindly let me know if you know how to backup Windows 11 computer to an external hard drive that is easy enough.
Thanks

CloudScripting library is missing in new project
I have created a new empty project and added a Mesh Cloud Scripting object to the scene. It created a Visual Studio project. When I opened it, I noticed that the Mesh CloudScript reference was invalid.
After hours of searching, we discovered a wrong source map in NuGet Package manager.
It can be easily fixed by adding new Source Mapping like in the picture below
Then, when you Build the app, you will see that all packages are resolved and the build is successful.
Please fix the nuget.config file that is created by the Cloud Scripting project template.

Manual transcription through MS teams not working
Hi Team,
The meeting policies to enable MS Teams transcription is already ON:
However, transcription only works if we choose to enable “auto record and transcribe” when creating a meeting.
We are not able to uncheck that and make the Start or Stop transcription to work.
We appreciate any inputs.
Thank you.

Can no longer use Drag and Drop
I can no longer use Drag and Drop of files between two SharePoint document libraries. I also cannot use Drag and drop of files from a SharePoint document library to “Files” in a channel in Microsoft Teams (or vice versa). However, I can use Drag and Drop from File Explorer to Teams or to SharePoint. What’s going on, am I missing something? Did I dream that this worked before or has something changed recently?
