Trying (and failing) to change language settings
Context: I’m using SharePoint in Microsoft 365 on Microsoft Edge.
Background: I was tasked with testing SharePoint’s language settings for some bilingual coworkers, so I changed my own account from English to Italian (the only non-English language I’m familiar with). I then changed back from Italian to English, but several fields on several SharePoint sites are still displaying in Italian.
Caveats:
– When I access the language settings (myaccount.microsoft.com/settingsandprivacy/language) on my Microsoft account, all three of the language fields only list English.
– When I access the language settings (edge://settings/language) on my browser, the preferred language is English.
– My Windows display language is set to English.
– I have logged in and out of my account, restarted my computer, and cleared the browser cache and cookies multiple teams.
– I logged into my Microsoft account using Chrome, and the same SharePoint fields are still in Italian.
– I searched this forum and did some Google-searching, but didn’t find any similar instances or instructions that I hadn’t already tried.
Question:
Any ideas what else I can do to fully revert back the language settings to English? This is driving me crazy, and unfortunately the IT team hasn’t been able to help.

DLP policy tips differ between Outlook desktop and OWA
Is it expected behavior that the policy tips we get in an Outlook desktop message are different than the policy tips we get in an Outlook web message?
We have a DLP policy set up for SSNs, targeting the Exchange location right now, and policy tips are enabled. I’ve attached images, but in Outlook desktop, we get two lines in the policy tip and in Outlook web we get four lines in the policy tip.
Please advise. Is this expected or is something wonky?

Purview DLP Override Email Notification for Admins
We know that our admins can go into the alerts in Purview and see if a user has chosen to override a DLP policy, but is there a way to set up email notification to individuals when a user clicks Override in the policy tip and chooses to override the block? So, in the attached “Override window.png” file, once they click the Override button, security admins are alerted via email immediately?

Information Oversharing Template – MGDC for SharePoint
1. Security Scenario
One of the most common scenarios for Microsoft Graph Data Connect for SharePoint is Information Oversharing. This security scenario is about knowing which items are being shared widely in the tenant and understanding how permissions are applied at each level.
The main MGDC datasets for this scenario are SharePoint Sites and SharePoint Permissions, plus several group-related datasets (SharePoint Groups, AAD Group Details, AAD Group Owners and AAD Group Members). If you’re not familiar with these datasets, you can find details in the schema definitions at https://aka.ms/SharePointDatasets.
2. Information Oversharing Template
To help you use these datasets, the team has worked on a Information Oversharing Template. This includes the following:
A set of instructions
An ARM template
An Azure Synapse pipeline template
A Power BI template
A sample Power BI dashboard
Let’s investigate each one.
3. Instructions
The template comes with a set of instructions with details about registering an application, creating a secret, deploying an ARM template, importing a pipeline template, running the pipeline and creating a Power BI dashboard.

4. ARM Template
The Information Oversharing template includes an Azure Resource Manager template that helps you set up the resource group, Synapse workspace, Spark pool, storage account, and storage permissions. You deploy the ARM template to automatically provision those resources.
You can find details on how to find and deploy the ARM template in the instructions (see item 3).
5. Pipeline Template
This Security scenario includes a pipeline template that you can use to simplify your deployment. In Azure Synapse, when you need to create a pipeline, you can use the Synapse Gallery to find the pipeline template.

6. Power BI Template
The last step is to create a set of reports and dashboards using Power BI. There is a Power BI template for that, which comes in the form of a .PBIT file. This helps you quickly turn your data into ready-to-use preconfigured dashboards and reports, which you can then customize.

Microsoft Mesh for G3, G5 Plans
In January 2024, Microsoft released Microsoft Mesh for Enterprise O365 plans. As we approach the 1-year anniversary, I have to ask if there any plan to release Mesh for Government plans? My employees have been asking and I have no answer to offer them.

Windows 11 isnt compatible but im running as the os
I have no clue why my computer won’t install the correct version of windows but I need help!!!!!! I have windows 11 pro on my computer and it’s ran fine for 2 months before telling me that I have a digital license for windows 11 home, now my computer says when I try to clean install windows 11 home that it’s not compatible. PLEASE HELP I’VE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE THIS WORK FOR 2 WEEKS, WATCHED EVERY VIDEO AND FOLLOWED EVERY TUTORIAL BUT THEN IT SAYS NOT COMPATIBLE?!?!?!?!

Restrict access to a Form to include external users in our tenant?
Hello,
I’m setting up an automation where a Form response triggers a Power Automate Flow that updates a non-critical value in Business Central records.
It works well except that I want the form to be non-public but to still be usable for people that are from different tenants but added as guests or members in our Entra.
I haven’t found what kind of setup and changes I need to make for this to be possible, I feel like it’s either people within my domain or public, nothing in between. Is there really no way to restrict access to exclude public and anonymous users but include users from externa tenants and invited in my domain ?
This is the current Entra setup for the kind of user I want to be able to access the form, I have tried with both user type Guest and Member but no change.

Excel Formula Help
Hi all,
I am quite new to excel and have been using it more and more with my work. I have made a spreadsheet that has all of our work on it with their start and finish dates, within this there is also a calender. I want to be able to select the date and within the calendar have the right month be highlighted that correlates with the selected date. Along with this, I also want the highlighted cell in the calender to match the colours of the customer we are referencing to.

Display the name for a range given a formula that selects 1 value from the named range
I’m trying to make a simple low cost selection table for airline tickets. I have multiple named ranges for the lowest prices per airline, so Air1 will have 5 different fare options, Air2 will have 5, etc. I’ve used conditional formatting to highlight the lowest per airline, now I want to display which airline has the lowest fare of all of them along with the fare. I have a min(all of the values) which displays the lowest fare of all airlines/fare options, but I also want to display the airline for that value. Using the cell that has the airline name is not easy as it’s different in relation to the minimum fare depending on which one it is. I thought using the range name would be relatively easy. Any ideas or alternatives?

DLP policy stops working when device is joined to the local domain
i have deployed purview in the client environment (M365 E5 lic) the DLP rule presents copy to USB for fils with a certain sensitivity label. DLP agent is deployed on all devices and all devices are in sync. when i test the DLP policy on an Entra joind device it works as intended and prevents copy to USB but when i join the device to the local domain the DLP policy stops working how do i debug this?

OneDrive just deleted thousands of my files.
Long story short: I uninstalled OneDrive from my PC a LONG time ago. I don’t want to use it. Despite this, microsoft put a “onedrive” folder onto my computer without my consent, and copied every single file on my computer into it. I logged into my onedrive to see if the files were on the cloud (because otherwise what would be the point of the folder on my pc), and nothing was backed up. Once I ensured that the files on my PC were not synced with OneDrive (bearing in mind i never asked them to do this, I uninstalled OneDrive and disabled syncing several times as it kept re-enabling it without my consent), I deleted the folder. I don’t know how, but OneDrive had merged them without asking me to, and now I’ve lost thousands of files. I am so sick of this stupid app.

Steps to redeploy a Teams Apps after applying some changes and deploy it to local GIT repo
We already have a Teams Apps installed inside our Microsoft Teams Admin Center, the apps is inside GitHub @ https://github.com/OfficeDev/microsoft-teams-emergency-operations-center. Now we want to do some changes that will not be deployed to the upstream. So i did those steps:-
1) Clone the GitHub code locally
2) Do the modifications using Visual Studio code.
3) then push the changes to our BitBucket repository which is public
4) Now I will redeploy the manifest.json + the resources images to the Microsoft Teams Admin center.
5) I will modify the “Git Repo URL” field inside the existing custom deployment template ,
to reference our custom Repo inside Bitbucket instead of the upstream GitHub?
My first question, are my above steps valid? and all the required steps?
Second question, now inside our public Bitbucket repo we will have the ClientID and appdomain inside the manifest.json .. so can we hide them? or they will need to be there for the “Git Repo Url” to reference them? or those values are only needed inside the manifest .json uploaded inside our Microsoft Teams admin center? and doe snot require to be inside the public bitbucket repository?
