Cannot add new contacts to account
In addition to my usual work account (.gov.uk) my colleagues and I have shared accounts we use to manage our distribution list and other partnership related work. For reasons unknown, we can no longer add new outlook contacts to our ‘partnership’ account where our distribution list is saved. Whether we use the app in browser or in the desktop app, it is impossible to start a new contact using the ‘New contact’ button or the dropdown – it simply doesn’t respond. I have tried removing and readding the account, clearing cache and using old and new outlook to no avail. Has anyone else had this issue and have a fix? Thanks

Bookings not sending cancellation notification to clients when team members cancel meeting.
I don’t know if this is a known bug but in my environment when admins of a Bookings page cancel an appointment in the Bookings page the clients receive a cancellation email.
But when a team member or planner from the same Bookings page cancel an appointment, the vistors doesn’t receive an email.
How can we fix this? Because I don’t want my other users to be admin.

Capturing Historic SQL and can I find historic sql logs with session info in metadata tables.
I’m looking to capture historical SQL queries in SQL Server, along with associated user/session/application information, CPU time, execution time, and table size for auditing purposes. I’ve explored several methods with a focus on minimizing performance impact with minimum external logging:
SQL Server Audit: Efficient and built-in, suitable for capturing DML statements with moderate overhead. However, it can generate large audit files.
Extended Events: Lightweight and highly configurable for detailed DML event logging with low overhead, though setup can be complex.
Change Data Capture (CDC): Captures data changes by reading the transaction log, suitable for ETL and data warehousing with moderate performance impact.
DML Triggers: Provides real-time logging but can significantly impact performance on high-transaction tables, making them less ideal for general use.

He instalado la version de excel ltsc 2021, para tener acceso a estas nuevas funciones que probablemente ocupare usar, sin embargo no me permite usarlas.

Network problem with personal bookings
Since a few weeks Microsoft Bookings very often shows me a specific notfication:
“Temporary problem in personal bookings – Unfortunately, there seems to be a temporary network problem with personal bookings. Please refresh or try again later.”
My personal booking page then disappears (although I don’t even use it, there is nothing set up in there) and I only see the shared bookings pages, which are relevant to me. However, if I want to access them, nothing really works: I can’t make any changes, I can’t set up a new service, I don’t see the employees I added etc. The only thing that works is the booking page itself, so people can make bookings. Only the administration part doesn’t function. This happens very often, in the App as well as in the Browser. Even for other colleagues of mine, this happens. I have found out though, that usually it works before 9 am and after 5pm (which are our companys office hours). And it occured as soon as more and more services were added to the page ( I am only talking about 10 services or so, and two shared booking pages.) Our internal tech service couldn’t find a problem with my computer or so. Does anyone know, what might be the reason for this? Is there some setting maybe in bookings, that I need to change?

I have a Windows Failover Cluster on two nodes with Windows Server 2019:
I have the Windows Service “FTS MasterConsole Online CY” as a Cluster Resource. This service, calls upon start the COM+ method FTS.DataAccess.CORE.UserAccess.LogonU.Logon:

Searching Outlook diary for numbers that do not appear

I have just purchased Copilot Pro and am using it for the first time, and this is my first every post so please be gentle!
I am an IT Manager who has uses a ticketing system to handle BAU. For each ticket I create an appointment in my Outlook diary by dragging and dropping the email alert I get from that system. Any tickets that I fail to complete that day are moved to the next.
Every morning, I check my ticketing system to see what tickets are outstanding and also to make sure that I have an appointment set aside for the task.
I know that if I use the Outlook search to find a ticket ID, it will show it if it finds it, so I reasoned that if I put a list of all outstanding ticket numbers in M365 chat and asked it to check the list of ticket numbers against the appointment subjects and return the numbers that do not appear, that should show what isn’t accounted for, but it doesn’t work.
The questions I asked are as follows:
Can you see what numbers in this appear in my diary after today?

How to manage security policies on servers onboarded to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint using Azure
I am relatively new to Microsoft Defender 365 suite and I want to manage security configurations (specifically AV policies) on some of the on-prem servers and workstations that are on-boarded with Azure arc and configuration manager. After on-boarding the endpoints, I am able to see the endpoints coming up in defender console(security.microsoft.com) but unable to manage/view the device security policies. Can anyone suggest how to manage security policies on servers onboarded to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint using Azure Arc and Configuration manager?

Ms Graph API: Set “Busy – In a call” does not cause new calls to be rejected
Hi everybody,
Although I set the Presence State to “Busy – InACall”, new incoming calls are not rejected.
And yes, Busy on Busy (Busy Options) is activated. So if I have a real Teams call a new incoming call is rejected.
Any idea why setting “Busy – InACall” via Graph API does not cause new calls to be rejected?

I was following the steps to submit an offer on the Azure Marketplace, and everything was going smoothly until I reached the Review and Publish stage. After a couple of hours with no visible progress, I refreshed the page and noticed that the following steps were completed successfully:
Package configuration (:heavy_check_mark:)Automated validation. CompletedFinancial configuration (<5 min) (:heavy_check_mark:)
However, I encountered an error at the Package provisioning (Public Azure) (<1 day) stage, which resulted in a failure with the following message:
Failed. Operation failed, exception: Failed to process changes during VSTS operation for offer.
I’m stuck at this point and unsure how to proceed. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue or have any advice on how to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can anyone help in calculating number of pallets from the cartons.
Problem Statement: How many cartons can be accommodated into a Pallet?
Case#1: When cartons are of single dimension (Length, Width, Height) in a consignment
Case#2: When cartons are of multiple dimensions (Length, Width, Height) in a consignment
Note#1: Length & Width can be flipped for optimum utilization of the pallet
Note#2: Height can’t be flipped
Note#3: There is maximum cap of L,W, H & Weight in a pallet

How to solve issue: Incorrect worker runtime specified for function app (AZFD0013)?

we’ve used app Start/Stop VMs during off hours – V2

It worked without any issues, but 8.10 we received the notification described in the article: AZFD0013: The configured runtime does not match the worker runtime metadata found in the deployed function app artifacts. – Azure Functions | Microsoft Learn.
In the notification it was written:
We have a new Functions recommendation for startstopvm23dvt65bpvxrmw
Incorrect worker runtime specified for function app
We’ve noticed that your function app (**startstopvm23dvt65bpvxrmw**) is configured with the FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME setting as “dotnet-isolated”, but expected value for the deployed application payload is “dotnet”. This is an unoptimized state which limits performance and may impact application reliability. To help detect this, you may now see the AZFD0013 event raised at the Warning level in your logs. This will be raised to Error level in a future update. To ensure your app can run properly, for its current payload, you should set the FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME value to “dotnet”. You must also update any deployment automations you have, such as templates or CI/CD pipelines, so they specify the correct value as well. If I understand correctly, our FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME is set to “dotnet-isolated”, and we should reset it to “dotnet”
But in the GitHub documentation I found:
August 19, 2024 Start/Stop v2 has been migrated to the .NET 8 isolated worker model.

When I checked the application settings in Azure, I also get this notification. When I look in the configuration, there it is set as it is written in GitHub – I assume this setting is correct
When I look in the environment variables, and look for FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME. So there is dotnet-isolated.
But I don’t know if by changing this variable, something will not work on dotnet, when the configuration is also set to .NET 8 Isolated?
Can anyone advise me on how to proceed to eliminate this problem?

Hi, (I apologize if this post is placed incorrectly within the community.)we’ve used app Start/Stop VMs during off hours – V2(GitHub – microsoft/startstopv2-deployments)(Start/Stop VMs during off hours – V2 – Microsoft Azure)It worked without any issues, but 8.10 we received the notification described in the article: AZFD0013: The configured runtime does not match the worker runtime metadata found in the deployed function app artifacts. – Azure Functions | Microsoft Learn. In the notification it was written:We have a new Functions recommendation for startstopvm23dvt65bpvxrmw Incorrect worker runtime specified for function app We’ve noticed that your function app (**startstopvm23dvt65bpvxrmw**) is configured with the FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME setting as “dotnet-isolated”, but expected value for the deployed application payload is “dotnet”. This is an unoptimized state which limits performance and may impact application reliability. To help detect this, you may now see the AZFD0013 event raised at the Warning level in your logs. This will be raised to Error level in a future update. To ensure your app can run properly, for its current payload, you should set the FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME value to “dotnet”. You must also update any deployment automations you have, such as templates or CI/CD pipelines, so they specify the correct value as well. If I understand correctly, our FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME is set to “dotnet-isolated”, and we should reset it to “dotnet”But in the GitHub documentation I found:August 19, 2024 Start/Stop v2 has been migrated to the .NET 8 isolated worker model.https://github.com/microsoft/startstopv2-deployments?tab=readme-ov-file#upcoming-or-recent-updates-to-startstop-v2 When I checked the application settings in Azure, I also get this notification. When I look in the configuration, there it is set as it is written in GitHub – I assume this setting is correct When I look in the environment variables, and look for FUNCTIONS_WORKER_RUNTIME. So there is dotnet-isolated. But I don’t know if by changing this variable, something will not work on dotnet, when the configuration is also set to .NET 8 Isolated? Data Archival in Merge replication
We are working on purging data in 3.5 TB database which is acting as a publisher in Merge replication with 2 subscribers which are hosted on EC2 machines in Europe and US regions respectively. We are looking for a Data Archival Strategy to optimize the data sync between publisher and subscribers in the best possible way as the volume of records that are going to be purged in publisher will be in millions.
This huge data purge in publisher will choke the subscribers and might delay the data sync from days to weeks. Hence we are looking for some recommendations on the archival strategy.

Assistance Required: BitLocker Policy Configuration Issue
Hi Experts,
I’ve recently configured a BitLocker
policy on one of our corporate devices, and the policy was successfully deployed without any errors, as shown in the attached picture. However, there was no effect on the client machine—it was still shows that BitLocker is off.
The corporate device has no other BitLocker policies enabled and has a TPM 2.0 chip available.
After performing the workaround, the status now shows as “Encrypted.” However, the machines are still in an “Unlocked” state, which means that any data copied is still accessible on other machines.
Could you please suggest any solutions to address this issue?

How to prevent accessing sharepoint online through Proxy Network
Hi Experts,
I would like to inquire if there is a way to block access through proxy networks.
Currently, our SharePoint is allowed to access only from the corporate region and block the rest, with access blocked by default through Conditional Access Policy and Network Location settings. However, I have noticed that users outside our corporate region can still access SharePoint by using a proxy of our corporate region, which bypasses the restrictions.
I have not been able to find any options to prevent this. Could someone assist with a solution to address this issue?

AutoPatch Blade Disappeared
Does anyone know where the AutoPatch blade in InTune has been moved to this week? It used to be visible directly under devices then a few weeks ago was moved to deviceswindows devices, as of this week i cant find it anywhere.
How are we supposed to monitor inactive devices, devices that need attention, pending devices and move devices between rings?
Right in the middle of a Windows 11 rollout where we have been using the Last update ring to exclude devices from the upgrade, how do we now move devices back when any upgrade issues have been resolved?
This along with the recent WebView and AVD black screen problems caused by Octobers updates are beyond a joke.
