Problem installing 365 Family apps.
Hallo,
I have added someone to my new office365 family account.
After uninstalling the apps from the family members Office365 personal account I restarted the computer and accepted the invite to the family group. I also canceled the recurring billing on said family members 365 personal account.
When trying to install the apps, the install screen keeps defaulting to the personal 365 plan encouraging the family member to renew the cancelled subscription.
How can I get around this? We purchased a family subscriptions for all the benefits that it offers but are not able to use it. We do not want to extend personal subscriptions and I want to install the apps that family members have access to through the family subscription.
Thank you in advance.

Confused by Contact lists vs folders vs groups
Hi
1) what is the difference between contact folders and contact lists
2) what is the difference between contact lists and groups
3) MOST IMPORTANT: how to access contact lists via Graph API (I do not see that topic in the documentation).
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
above is example sheet that I use for workers. This is part with standby and overtime, and I need to decrease time of Total Standby with hours of Total overtime only if times overlap, like in table above (if worker is on overtime for 30 and more minutes it is counted as full hour). Overtime can be any hour between 0 – 24h because worker can be called at any time for work in case of emergency (firefighters), but standby is entered only in this way (each row represent new day):

Vulnerability Management – Baselines assessment
We are currently evaluating Vulnerability Management to report on our CIS 2.0 compliance.
In a Domain Controller profile the Password Policy checks appear to be incorrect.
For example: 1.1.5 – (L1) Ensure ‘Password must meet complexity requirements’ is set to ‘Enabled’
says “Not compliant”, although we have it enabled in the “Default Domain Policy”, which is the one controlling domain users password policy.
What policy does it check?
It is as if it checks the RSOP that affects the DCs. But DCs do not have local users. 🤔

Using Compliance Search Purge Actions to Remove Mailbox Items
Compliance search purge actions are Microsoft’s search and purge tool. Today, a purge action is limited to removing 10 items per mailbox. Microsoft is increasing the limit to 100 as part of its eDiscovery modernization project. This article reviews the state of the art for using PowerShell to purge mailbox items and contemplates how purges might work after modernization finishes.

Choosing Tasks by Type
Relatively new to MS Project. I am working on a construction schedule and I want to differentiate the tasks within each section by color, as per the image (orange for one section, blue for the other). Rather than simply recoloring the blue tasks orange (which I am currently doing), is there a way in which I can create a new task and different the orange and blue not by just recoloring but by actual task type?

Best method to transfer large file from android phone to computer?
Hi,
I’m looking for advice on how to transfer large files from my Android phone to my Windows PC. I’ve tried a few basic methods, but they seem either too slow or unsuitable for larger files (over 4 GB). I’d like to know what the best options are that can handle bigger file sizes efficiently.
So far, I’ve tried using bluetooth to transfer large file from android phone to computer, but I’ve encountered issues when the files are too large. I’m also curious about using wireless methods like AirDrop or Wi-Fi, but I’m unsure if they are suitable for such large files. Some cloud storage options have worked for smaller files, but they seem slow for transferring very large ones.
I would appreciate any recommendations for software, apps, or alternative methods that can make this process easier and faster. Your help will be greatly appreciated as I’m planning to transfer some important work files.

Export Images from MS-List to Excel (Macros)
Until about 1-2 months ago, I could easily export images from MS lists to an Excel spreadsheet with macros. I downloaded the list of images as a CSV and imported it into Excel. The images were stored in a SiteAssets folder in SharePoint, which I could easily extract the imges from the folder using the image names in the CSV and VBA code and import them into Excel. Now the images in the new entries have completely different names and they no longer appear in the folder. Is there another or new way to import the images using VBA code? Inserting everything manually takes far too long and is not worth the effort.

Converting Periodic Data to Quarterly Data
hi,
As seen in the attached example file, I obtain quarterly data in the range “C179:T214” by manually processing the periodic data in the range “AA179:AV214”.
Quarterly data is obtained as follows: “IF(RIGHT(Quarter date; 1) = “3”; write as is; otherwise subtract from previous)”
Quarterly Data:
1- array formula to do the entire row at once.
2- Using an array formula for the entire block.

New autonomous agents scale your team like never before
Already, 60 percent of the Fortune 500 are using Microsoft 365 Copilot to accelerate business results and empower their teams. With Copilot supporting sales associates, Lumen Technologies projects $50 million dollars in savings annually. Honeywell(1) equates productivity gains to adding 187 full-time employees and Finastra is reducing creative production time from seven months to seven weeks.
Today, we’re announcing new agentic capabilities that will accelerate these gains and bring AI-first business process to every organization.
First, the ability to create autonomous agents with Copilot Studio will be in public preview next month.
Second, we’re introducing ten new autonomous agents in Dynamics 365 to build capacity for every sales, service, finance and supply chain team.
Copilot is your AI assistant — it works for you — and Copilot Studio enables you to easily create, manage and connect agents to Copilot. Think of agents as the new apps for an AI-powered world. Every organization will have a constellation of agents — ranging from simple prompt-and-response to fully autonomous. They will work on behalf of an individual, team or function to execute and orchestrate businesses process. Copilot is how you’ll interact with these agents, and they’ll do everything from accelerating lead generation and processing sales orders to automating your supply chain.
Empowering more customers to build autonomous agents in Copilot Studio
Earlier this year, we announced a host of powerful new capabilities in Copilot Studio, including the ability to create autonomous agents. Next month, these capabilities are shifting from private to public preview, allowing more customers to reimagine critical business processes with AI. Agents draw on the context of your work data in Microsoft 365 Graph, systems of record, Dataverse and Fabric, and can support everything from your IT help desk to employee onboarding and act as a personal concierge for sales and service.
Organizations like Clifford Chance, McKinsey & Company, Pets at Home and Thomson Reuters are already creating autonomous agents to increase revenue, reduce costs and scale impact. Pets at Home, the U.K.’s leading pet care business, created an agent for its profit protection team to more efficiently compile cases for skilled human review, which could have the potential to drive a seven-figure annual savings. McKinsey & Company is creating an agent that will speed up the client onboarding process. The pilot showed lead time could be reduced by 90% and administrative work reduced by 30%. Thomson Reuters built a professional-grade agent to speed up the legal due diligence workflow, with initial testing showing some tasks could be done in half the time. This agent can help Thomson Reuters increase the efficiency of work for clients and boost its new business pipeline.
Scaling your teams with 10 new autonomous agents in Dynamics 365
New autonomous agents enable customers to move from legacy lines of business applications to AI-first business process. AI is today’s ROI and tomorrow’s competitive edge. These new agents are designed to help every sales, service, finance and supply chain team drive business value — and are just the start. We will create many more agents in the coming year that will give customers the competitive advantage they need to future-proof their organization. Today, we’re introducing ten of these autonomous agents. Here are a few examples:
Sales Qualification Agent: In a profession where time literally equals money, this agent enables sellers to focus their time on the highest priority sales opportunities while the agent researches leads, helps prioritize opportunities and guides customer outreach with personalized emails and responses.
Supplier Communications Agent: This agent enables customers to optimize their supply chain and minimize costly disruptions by autonomously tracking supplier performance, detecting delays and responding accordingly — freeing procurement teams from time consuming manual monitoring and firefighting.
Customer Intent and Customer Knowledge Management Agents: A business gets one chance to make a first impression, and these two agents are game changers for customer care teams facing high call volumes, talent shortages and heightened customer expectations. These agents work hand in hand with a customer service representative by learning how to resolve customer issues and autonomously adding knowledge-based articles to scale best practices across the care team.
As agents become more prevalent in the enterprise, customers want to be confident that they have robust data governance and security. The agents coming to Dynamics 365 follow our core security, privacy and responsible AI commitments. Agents built in Copilot Studio include guardrails and controls established by maker-defined instructions, knowledge and actions. The data sources linked to the agent adhere to stringent security measures and controls — all managed in Copilot Studio. These include data loss prevention, robust authentication protocols and more. Once these agents are created, IT administrators can apply a comprehensive set of features to govern their use.
Microsoft’s own transformation
At Microsoft, we’re using Copilot and agents to reimagine business process across every function while empowering employees to scale their impact. Using Copilot, one sales team has achieved 9.4% higher revenue per seller and closed 20% more deals(2). And thanks to Copilot, one team is resolving customer cases nearly 12% faster(3). Our Marketing team is seeing a 21.5% increase in conversion rate on Azure.com with a custom agent designed to assist buyers(4). And in Human Resources, our employee self-service agent is helping answer questions with 42% greater accuracy(5).
With Copilot and agents, the possibilities are endless — we can’t wait to see what you create. Start building agents in Copilot Studio today. Read more about autonomous agent capabilities on the Copilot Studio and Dynamics 365 blogs. Head to WorkLab for more insights on Microsoft’s own AI transformation.

Best Practices for Resizing (Reducing) a SharePoint Farm and Decommissioning Servers
~~~~ Resizing a SharePoint Farm: Strategies and Considerations ~~~~
I’ve noticed that while there are numerous blogs and technical articles available on how to set up a SharePoint farm SP2016, there’s a noticeable lack of guidance on resizing an existing farm—especially when it comes to decommissioning servers and reducing the overall infrastructure.
When dealing with a farm configured with MinRoles, there are several critical considerations:
1. **Planning for Server Decommissioning**: What is the best approach to identify which servers can be decommissioned without impacting performance?
2. **Capacity Assessment**: How do we assess the current and projected workload to ensure that the remaining servers can handle the load?
3. **Service Application Reconfiguration**: After reducing the number of servers, what steps should be taken to reconfigure service applications? Are there specific tools or best practices for managing this?
4. **New Farm Topology**: How do we effectively design the new farm topology post-decommissioning? What factors should guide this restructuring?
I believe sharing insights and experiences on these topics can significantly benefit anyone facing the challenge of resizing their SharePoint environment. I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Can Microsoft 365 Copilot learn directly from my actions? (e.g corrective or change response?)
I am trying to comprehend the scope in which Microsoft 365 Copilot might be able to learn and change it’s response on a user-level. I have identified 4 scopes (this might be incorrect) and I am looking for answers about scope 2. Does anybody have some concrete information about this?
Scope 1: In the scope of a single chat.
– The response can be directly change by the user. e.g. tell Copilot that 2+2=5. then ask what is 2+2.
Scope 2: In the scope of all interactions with of a single user.
– I cannot find concrete information if Copilot will, or will not, give different responses based on histories of all interactions with me.
Scope 3: In the scope of the tenant.
– I cannot find concrete information if Copilot will, or will not, give different responses based on histories of all interactions with other users in the tenant.
Scope 4: In the scope of the foundation of Copilot service.
Data, Privacy, and Security for Microsoft 365 Copilot | Microsoft Learn “Prompts, responses, and data accessed through Microsoft Graph aren’t used to train foundation LLMs, including those used by Microsoft 365 Copilot.”
Apologies if this is confirmed / unconfirmed in any official source. I spent a few hours looking but was unable to find any concrete answer.
Action ‘Get_file_content’ failed suddenly
Morning,
I have had my flow fail suddenly with no changes to the form or the flow.
I use the following to get the file contents from the MS form response
I have also re-run one that has previously worked and that now does not work.
All I can assume is that an update/change has been made to this action?
Any help would be appreciated.
Morning,I have had my flow fail suddenly with no changes to the form or the flow.I use the following to get the file contents from the MS form response json(outputs(‘Get_responses_from_TSE_form’)?[‘body/rb415b42e1eb44a34b1ee76469acebe18’]) The ‘Get responses.. is from the dynamic content for where the attachments are uploaded within the form – therefore all of the text from “json” is entered for me. This worked fine up until last week now I get the error: I have also re-run one that has previously worked and that now does not work. All I can assume is that an update/change has been made to this action?Any help would be appreciated. Read More
SharePoint news post author changed after copying site page
Hi,
I have a Microsoft Power Automate flow in place that allows me to automatically copy a site page to another site in SharePoint, and then promote it as news.
Since a couple of weeks our users report an issue wherein they mention that the author in the page headers are changed.
I use the default ‘Copy file’ action in Power Automate to copy the initial site page. Then I promote the site page as a news post using the SharePoint REST API by the _api/sitepages/pages(x)/PromoteToNews endpoint. At last, I use _api/sitepages/pages(x)/Publish endpoint to publish the newly copied news post.
Previously, the author was kept correctly. But since a couple of weeks the author in the page title header is replaced with a seemingly random user.
Does anyone else have this issue? And how can I prevent this from happening?
Many thanks for all help provided!
Another spilled array that I can’t solve – Aggregating monthly into time periods
This I thought would be quite easy but hit a brick wall at each attempt.
In summary, I am trying to use a spilled array to sum up expenses into time periods.
So I have a 5 year projection and say 5 different expense lines, each with a different start and end date (end could be the end of the forecast or before) The expenses are accrued monthly but I want the flexibility to aggregate them into Applied Periods ie when they will be paid. Let’s say rent. Say $100 per month but paid every three months so $300 every 3 months. I already have the monthly amounts all worked out – its is much more complex than this simple scenario and integrates, manual overrides, and fixed expenses and ones driven off factors etc but the results of these all fall into a nice Spilled Array of 10 rows by a dynamic number of columns depending of length of forecast and intervals etc.
So here will will only focus on the bit I need to resolve. I want the monthly rent to be summed into intervals of say 3 months. One row may have a 6 month interval and another a 1 month interval. As they start and (may end) in different periods, the applied period must start from x months after the first expense accrual. So if the first rent starts in month 2 and is paid 3 monthly then the first payment would total the first 3 months from period 2, paid in period 5. Each row could be different but the applied periods will be fixed for each line throughout.
I tried to create flags using Makearray which worked and my intention was to use scan and reset it at each flag. But I cannot see how to integrate 2 arrays into the scan function. The one with the expenses and the one with the flags. I tried using Map and then using scan inside the map lambda but it wouldn’t aggregate. It nearly worked other than that. I tried using indexing to get the column and row of the flags to rest the scan function but referencing another array that was not part of the scan function just gave me calc errors. There are a few times I would like to use 2 arrays in a scan or a scan inside a map. Just couldn’t find a way to get the row and column of the flag array (both arrays – the data to aggregate and the flags are the same size) but how do I get the row and column count inside scan to use in an index function. Every road seems to lead to a failure.
Sample attached showing my crude attempt – I only got as far as generating flags but couldn’t apply them
Shows original flags to get start date – can’t always rely on a zero value as a contract may start on 1st Jan and include 2 free months. So payment would then be due on third which would be one past the zero. So flags overcome this.
Needs to start at right time with offset from start by No of Applied periods. But can run to end of array as if a n expense ends then it will return a zero so the result will be correct – ie sum of zeros
