Onenote – Embed Office files from OneDrive not working
Hi All,

However, this is not currently working when I try to embed it from my personal OneDrive.
I have the newest version (Onenote 365 for Windows 11) and also tried making the file “public”. Nothing seem to work – just a static link.

Microsoft copilot stops while giving a response.

Need to Add Mailbox Import Export Role But Roles Admin Roles Is Missing
I’m setting up my first Exchange 365 and it’s time to start importing PSTs. I am the one user in the systems and my users says I’m a “Global Administrator”. I go to add the import role and the Roles menu option only shows Role Assignments.

What steps can I take, given Microsoft Defender’s report?
In September I posted a question in this forum, I’m not sure what to do with the data breaches Microsoft Defender reports. I’ve proceeded to use the “Take Action” button. After clicking on that button Microsoft Defender took me to its report on what it found. It listed a website I’ve never heard of before. I use a password manager, so I double checked there. I don’t have an account on that website.
The information it has there is about half correct, a quarter of the information is wrong, and the rest is out of date by 10+ years.
There were a few other websites that it reported on. Some I can manage, as Microsoft Defender gave me enough information about them. Others are not helpful, as Defender just says, “From an unknown source”, then the rest of the information isn’t helpful at all.
Anyway, my concern is that this information is out there especially with the first reported incident, and I don’t see how I can stop this spurious website from displaying it. And I certainly have no idea how it got it in the first place. So, what can I do about some website that got this information from somewhere and displays it for whoever to see it?

Seeking Advice for Automating VMSS Scaling Based on On-Premises SQL Data
Hi everyone,
I have a few VMSS (Virtual Machine Scale Sets) already configured to scale up and down based on predefined rules. Now, what I’m looking to achieve is to periodically run a query on my on-premises SQL database, and depending on the result (let’s say if the number is X), I want to automatically scale the VMSS accordingly (increase or decrease the number of instances).
I’ve considered several approaches like using Azure Automation Account, Power Automate, or Azure Function for this. But I’m not sure what would be the most efficient way to implement it.
Any ideas or suggestions on the best method to achieve this would be greatly appreciated!

Azure VMs Not Applying GPOs Correctly
Hi everyone,
Quick question… if my Azure VMs are joined to my domain, they should be applying all my configured GPOs, right?
For some reason, my VMs are not applying the GPOs, even after running a GPUPDATE /force. At the moment, I am testing some simple GPOs like:
Creating a folder on the desktopSetting the time format to Brazilian (dd/mm/yyyy)Adjusting the timezone to Brasília
When I run gpresult /r, it shows that the GPOs are being applied, but for some reason, the VM just doesn’t reflect them.
Any idea what might be causing this?

Sorting a table with groups of people (no VBA)

I have a table with groups of people in a team. The individual team can vary from 3 to 4 persons. The table list the group and their group score/result (se attached image).
How can I sort the table so that the team with the highest score/result is listed in ascending order and keep the team members together?

Conditional Formatting not transposing
I wonder if someone would be kind enough to help me as I’m very much a semi-competent novice when it comes to this sort of thing! I’m attempting to copy and paste conditional formatting but when I do so the ‘Cell Value’ in the ‘Rule’ box is always fixed?
I’ve added conditional formatting manually (I’m sure there’s a faster way to do it, but never mind for now lol) to to C16 to N16 so that if the value in said cell goes higher, lower or equal to the value in C4 to N4 it will change to red or green.
When I then copy and paste the ‘labour %’ row from week 1 to week 2, the formulas themselves transpose but the conditional formatting doesn’t. For example: C32 is still turning red or green based on the value of C4 instead of C20. I’ve got 52 weeks to complete 😪
Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊

My name is Anas, and I’m reaching out because my Outlook account has been locked for weeks without any clear reason. Every time I try to sign in and verify my identity, I receive a message saying that the verification method isn’t available right now. This has been incredibly frustrating and has persisted for weeks.

SWITCH and IFS – a word to the wise
Last night my Excel very nearly died executing something that looked perfectly reasonable:
myLambda = LAMBDA(i, SWITCH(i, 1, …, 15, LET( …, l, myLambda(1), …))
There is a recursion but it wasn’t supposed to end in disaster because branch 15 would not be invoked second time around. Turns out, it nearly ended in disaster because Excel apparently evaluates ALL the branches of the SWITCH before making a decision.
This was totally unexpected and there isn’t a word of warning in Microsoft’s online documentation. It is also totally contrary to intuition. SWITCH will only ever be deployed in a scenario where there are
. a large number of branches
. no more than one condition ever applies
My next port of refuge was IFS. There is an argument anyway that SWITCH is redundant in the presence of IFS. IFS offers greater flexibility and the overhead of typing out IFS over SWITCH does not really move the needle.
Alas, same thing again !!
These new functions are incredibly poorly implemented. With regret, I must return to nested IFs. IF only evaluates the applicable branch. Only problem is keeping track of the number of closing brackets….

MS Fabric integration – Delta table assets and lineage
Hi Team,
Has anyone tried MS Purview integration with Fabric items. I did that but I noticed the assets that’s getting identified does not included the delta tables residing in semantic model and even the csv files present in lakehouse are not identified. Even the lineage from one source to other is not captured.
Please let me know if anyone have had success in identifying delta table from semantic models and csv files in Purview.
And also if you have got the lineage from source to target (lakehouse to powerbi report).

Issue with Red Error Pop-up in Microsoft Teams Tab Application

I developed a Microsoft Teams tab application where I add a page in a static tab (using the contentURL). While the page loads successfully, a red error pop-up consistently appears after 30-45 seconds.
This happens with both static and configurable tabs. In configurable tabs, even after saving and loading the page, the pop-up still appears. It has no error message and can be dismissed by clicking the ‘X’ but reappears within 30-45 seconds after switching between apps or chats. Please see the attached screenshot for reference.
I have tested this across local, development, and production environments, and it persists with all non-local URLs (i.e., pages outside my tab). The behavior is the same on both desktop and browser versions of Teams. Initially, I suspected Razor code might be the issue, but the problem persists even with a hardcoded URL.
The app package was successfully validated using the Microsoft Teams App Validator, but the error pop-up remains.
Could you please help me resolve this issue as soon as possible?
