Help getting Pre-Sale Materials for Dynamics 365 Human Resources?
Hello Partners,
We are a new entity in the microsoft world, and I would like to ask you experts for some operational advice on the pre-sale part of the Dynamics family .
We have received a request from a potential customer about Dynamics 365 Human Resources, already the first ice-breaking call has been made but now I would need to go in depth.
We have already seen and used the material on the Transform https://dynamicspartners.transform.microsoft.com/gtm/modernize-erp/human-resources page but unlike other products we do not know how best to proceed for the second in-depth meeting.
Is there an interactive demo of HR?
Are there no trial licenses available for this product?
I hope for your response that can help us in this particular case.
Thank you in advance

Capabilities of Copilot in Web Browser vs. in Excel
Hello,
I have noticed differences of Copilot capabilities of M365 Copilot in web browser vs. in Excel itself.
For example, I want to count the number of lines in Excel file based on some parameters. When I put the prompt “Count the number of rows that have ‘VTT’ in column ‘Product’.” into Excel Copilot, it counts the correct number of rows.
When I put the same prompt, just starting with “In file /Sample_data.xlsx” into M365 Copilot in Teams or in the web browser, it returns incorrect count every time. The same happens when I upload the file directly to the Copilot window and not link it to Onedrive.
Mostly less (correct is 202 and Copilot returns 64 or so). I suspect it cannot access the entire document.
I have tried many similar simple tests with other prompts and it is often the same result – in Excel good, elsewhere bad.
Why does this happen?
Is it because the file is indexed only partially in some sort of index and web Copilot draws from that and cannot see the data itself?
How can I allow the Teams/web Copilot to access the data so the results are correct? I don’t want to open Excel everytime to use the data inside.
Thank you very much!!
PS: When I test the same prompts with ChatGPT 4o mini, it responds correctly every time, so the data is AI-readable.

Issue with Viewing My NFT Website on Microsoft Edge
I hope this message finds you well. I am currently facing an issue while trying to access my NFT website, [your website URL], using Microsoft Edge. The site does not seem to load properly, and I’m encountering several glitches that disrupt the user experience.
Here are some specific problems I’ve noticed:
Loading Times: The website takes longer than usual to load compared to other browsers.Display Errors: Some elements on the page appear misaligned or are not displaying at all.Interactivity Issues: Certain features that rely on JavaScript do not function correctly.
I have tried clearing the cache and cookies, disabling extensions, and updating Edge to the latest version, but the problem persists.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Edge, especially regarding NFT marketplace? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Power BI Premium discounts
Hi TSI team
With the change from Power BI Premium to Fabric Capacity, Power BI Premium is no longer available for nonprofits at a discounted price. Will Fabric Capacity be added to the available grants/discounts in the future? Or is this something that nonprofits can use their Azure credits toward?
Thanks
Matt

Outlook reporting user-marked junk/non junk emails as phish
When a user mark an email as junk, Outlook reports it as a phishing email AND moves it to the junk folder.
Likewise, when a user marks email as not junk, Outlook reports it as a phishing email rather than keeping the email in or moving the email back to the inbox.
Is this something that can be re-configured so that junk/non-junk emails don’t get reported as phish?

Quickly estimate sales using Copilot in Excel
Hi everyone, this is part 9 in a series of posts to show you some of the things that are possible to do with Copilot in Excel.
I need to perform a quick estimate of book sales for the rest of the fiscal year. Let’s see how Copilot can help. We recently finished the first quarter of our fiscal year and I want to use the growth numbers year over year for the first quarter to estimate the remaining 3 quarters this year.
I ask Copilot:
Add new columns for quarters 2-4 in FY25 using the growth between FY24Q1 and FY25Q1 to estimate
Looking at K16:P21, here are 3 formula columns to review and insert in Columns Q, R, and S:
FY25Q2
Projects the sales for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025 by adjusting the sales from the second quarter of fiscal year 2024 based on the growth rate between the first quarters of fiscal years 2024 and 2025.
=[@FY24Q2]*(1+(([@FY25Q1]-[@FY24Q1])/[@FY24Q1]))
FY25Q3
Projects the sales for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 by adjusting the sales from the third quarter of fiscal year 2024 based on the percentage change between the first quarters of fiscal years 2024 and 2025.
=[@FY24Q3]*(1+(([@FY25Q1]-[@FY24Q1])/[@FY24Q1]))
FY25Q4
Projects the sales for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025 by adjusting the sales from the same quarter in fiscal year 2024 based on the growth rate between the first quarters of fiscal years 2024 and 2025.
=[@FY24Q4]*(1+(([@FY25Q1]-[@FY24Q1])/[@FY24Q1]))
I click on the Show Explanation arrow to see what the first suggested formula is doing:
=[@FY24Q2]*(1+(([@FY25Q1]-[@FY24Q1])/[@FY24Q1]))
Estimates the revenue for “FY25Q2” in the table by using the following steps:
Multiplies the value in the “FY24Q2” column by the result of the following calculation.
Subtracts the value in the “FY24Q1” column from the value in the “FY25Q1” column.
Divides the result by the value in the “FY24Q1” column to find the growth rate.
Adds 1 (unitless) to the growth rate to adjust the “FY24Q2” value accordingly.
That looks correct, so I click on the Insert columns button to add the 3 new calculated columns:
I now have some basic estimates that I can use for a discussion that I have with my team this afternoon.
Stay tuned,
Microsoft Excel Team

New URL for Exchange admin center (EAC) in Exchange Online
Today, we are announcing that we are introducing a new URL for accessing the Exchange admin center (EAC) in Exchange Online – https://admin.cloud.microsoft/exchange. This new URL is live and available for use now. This change is part of our broader strategy to unify our admin experiences under a single domain (cloud.microsoft), making it easier for you to manage your services.
What You Need to Know
Starting today, https://admin.cloud.microsoft/exchange will become the default URL for accessing the EAC in Exchange Online.
Requests sent to the legacy URL (https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com) will be redirected to the new URL. This redirection will occur over time, culminating in redirection of 100% of requests sent to the legacy URL by the end of December 2024.
We recommend that you update any bookmarks, scripts, or documentation to reflect the new URL to ensure a seamless transition.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

AppInstaller OnLaunch Update check does not start the application after update
Hello
We are currently developing an application that needs to check updates before launch. Therefore we implemented the following Appinstaller:
<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″ standalone=”yes”?>
<AppInstaller Uri=”https://somehost/someappinstaller.appinstaller” Version=”1.0.1.36″ xmlns=”http://schemas.microsoft.com/appx/appinstaller/2018″>
<MainPackage Name=”SomeCompany.SomeApp” Version=”1.0.1.36″ Publisher=”CN=Somepublisher” Uri=”https://somehost/someupdatedpackage.msix” ProcessorArchitecture=”x86″/>
<UpdateSettings>
<OnLaunch HoursBetweenUpdateChecks=”0″ ShowPrompt=”true” UpdateBlocksActivation=”true”/>
<AutomaticBackgroundTask/>
<ForceUpdateFromAnyVersion>true</ForceUpdateFromAnyVersion>
</UpdateSettings>
</AppInstaller>
If we now have version 1.0.0.37 of SomeApp installed a window will show up to guide us to update the app:
If i now click update the app will update but it will not start afterwards. The Eventlog is showing Eventlog Id 323 with error 0x80070490 reference the old version of SomeApp: Fehler 0x80070490: Das Paket “SomeCompany.SomeApp_1.0.0.37_x86__wpr0009ygztjt” kann not be registered: Element not found.
When I try to launch the app using it’s app alias with the command line I get the following error
This message is basically saying that the file could not be accessed but what troubles me most that the path is pointing to version 1.0.0.37 so the version which has been replaced by the update.
My fear is the following: The appinstaller has currently a bug which is not pointing to the outdated file after update. So the app will not launch after an update. Or am I using something wrong here?
