Pivot Tables in Word for Mac
My very complex investment spreadsheet, which used lots of pivot tables, no longer works and the file is said to be corrupted and won’t open. In terms of design I have a master table (showing entries for stock purchases) from which the pivot tables take and show the data. The master table has about 30 columns, and around 3500 entries to date (I buy little and often). It uses lots of formulas, including things like Stockhistory. So it is a pretty complex table, but up until now I’ve had no real problems and it only takes a few seconds to refresh the data.
I’ve tried restoring previous versions but that doesn’t work. So I started a new spreadsheet. I put just 10 lines of data into my master table and set up a couple of pivot tables (writing things from new, rather than copying directly from the old spreadsheet). Excel was unable even to handle that. After I saved the document and reopened it I got an error message. It was able to open the document, but the data in the pivot table was fixed/static and the pivot table element itself had been removed.
Has some update to excel for Mac completely screwed pivot tables? Or what else might explain this?
Thanks in advance.

Can’t license 365 groups anymore
Ever since group based licensing was moved from Entra to 365 admin, it’s no longer possible to apply licenses to to 365 groups. This is clearly broken and needs fixing. What’s the process to raise this with Microsoft? I tried using Graph but that’s also broken, even when following the MS doc.
I raised a support case but they guy that called back was absolutely useless, didn’t even know what I was talking about.

Extract all email data including category to a SharePoint list using Power Automate
Hello everyone, Please, I want to ask whether or not it is possible to export emails in a folder from outlook to a SharePoint list. The email content must include all data such as body, attachments, from address, to address including metadata like its outlook category. So far, all email details were exportable except the email category as there was no expression for it. Which power automate action will trigger the export of email “category” data? Is there a valid expression for that? Each email data will be stored into a separate SharePoint list column. @TonyRedmondpls comment. Thanks. Read More
prevent Windows 11 desktop auto sort
Simple problem.
If I have folders top left going down in desktop, and I then paste a new folder which alphabetically goes before the top left folder, it will automatically take this spot and move the rest down. How to prevent it? I would rather it going at the last position to not mess my ordering.

Power Automate Premium Per User licenses in approval flows that use Premium connectors
Hi, I have a Power Automate approval flow (specifically, instant type) in SharePoint Online that uses Premium connectors. It is correct that only page’s Authors who start the approval flow needs an Premium Per User license because the flow runs in their context? On the other hand, isn’t it required that flow’s Approvers also have a Premium Per User license? In particular, this is what is meant here when in the Faq for terms “runs”:
Instant flows (button, hybrid triggers) run in the context of the user who invokes them, regardless of the connections used in the flow. If an automated or scheduled flow uses a premium connector, only the owner needs to have a Premium license.
If an instant flow has premium connectors, every user who runs the flow needs a Power Automate Premium license. In such cases, instead of licensing every user, you can license the flow with a Process license.

Enrollment Scope only AzureAD Joined
Hi, I’m new to intune and was wondering how I could prevent AzureAD registered devices to enroll on intune.
I’ve tried using a security group and limiting the enrollment scope to this group. The dynamic rules were set to
(device.deviceOSType -eq “Windows”) and (device.deviceTrustType -eq “AzureAD”)
However, the result was that the device wasn’t enrolled at all (just as if the AAD joined tag was set at a later stage after intune checking for it). The group does indeed match all the devices that I want to target (I can see them in the preview).
Is there a best practice for this or another dynamic rule that will work? We don’t get our hardware hashes yet to use autopilot right away so I want new notebooks to at least enroll automatically to intune when

About New Outlook for Windows 11 Home
I am a Japanese Windows user.
I gave up on the new Outlook because I couldn’t sign in to Plala Mail (a Japanese ISP) with the IMAP settings. I decided to use Thunderbird (Mozilla) for Plala Mail.
So, it seems that you can only set up 10 accounts with the new Outlook.
I only have Outlook Mail and Gmail accounts set up. I would like to have around 15 or 16 accounts.
Please increase the number of accounts that can be set up, Microsoft.
Also, the navigation window shows the email address, but when an email arrives, I would like it to show the number of emails.
The email notification and taskbar icon have an email mark, so I know that an email has arrived, but I don’t know which email address it went to.
The inbox has a number, but I have to click on the email address every time, which is a pain.
I think the old Outlook had a number on the email address.
Please set the number of incoming emails, Microsoft.
Thank you.

OneDrive is the most lethal application I have ever encountered
After installing Windows 11 on 2 computers, OneDrive took over ( without my knowledge or permission ) and started backing up all of my Documents and Desktop.
I was forced to rebuild both computers!
The operational default for OneDrive should be to ASK and then re-ASK before doing anything.
If MS management is reading this, you should really place some safeguards into this product.
If it wasn’t for OneNote ( a reasonable app ) I would not touch OneDrive ever.
Google Drive is far better.
Thanks

MDE disable or uninstall
Hello All,
We have onboarded devices to MDE in a setup as follows,
1. Onboard devices to Entra as hybrid entra joined devices
2. Sync/Enroll devices to Intune from on-premise SCCM through co-management config.
3. Onboard devices to MDE from Intune through EDR policy.
Once the device are onboarded, how can we do the following,
1. Disable DFE on a device (to disable protection while troubleshooting. Can we just stop the services?)
2. Uninstall DFE from a device (offboarding through a script would also remove all the policies applied to the device immediately?)
Please guide.

What-If Anlysis not in my version?
I have office 365 through a monthly subscription, and need it for a college class on Excel. However, my version is missing several components:
Under File>Options, it shows only regional settings instead of the full range of options it should display.
On the top ribbon, I do not have: Fill or the What-if Analysis/Scenario Manager (among others)
– i need all of these in order to complete my assignments. Do I have the wrong version? My instructor tells me that I am the only one in class having this issue and does not know how to help me.
thank you for assistance

Conditional Data Validation
Hello:
I’m hoping the Excel user community can help me with a question. I have a worksheet that contains a drop-down list in Column B. Available values are ATM, CHK, DEP, and EBT. I would like to set up a validation rule that would require the user to enter a value from 0000-9999 in Column C if “CHK” is selected in Column B. How can I do this?
Your feedback and advice are greatly appreciated!
