Access Front-end Switches to Read-only
Split application with FEs on twelve Windows 11 workstations; BE on local network server. At random times, on only one workstation, the FE will not allow data edits. The folder and content within the folder will not be marked as Read-only.
Install a new FE and the problem will return almost immediately, or in the last event, after two weeks of use. And the switch to read-only took place while the user was working in the app. At other times the app will be closed after successful use, then be in a read-only state when re-opened.
The culprit workstation has Office 365, accounting app, several industry-specific apps, and a Panini Check Reader attached. Windows/Office 365 updates are handled by an outside IT firm, and I’m told they are current. OneDrive is switched off; all work is local.
Any input would be appreciated.
