macOS loses SSID but not the WiFi profile each time the certificate renews.
We have several hundred macOS devices in our environment. We use EAP-TLS. Most of the time the WiFi works but sometimes when the certificate renews on the device, a few hours later the SSID will disappear from the device.
The profile for the WiFi stays on the device but the user is unable to connect again. Reenrolling will fix it. For some users, if they wait 24 hours it will resolve on its own.
This has been happening for about a year now. Our lowest version of macOS is 14.6.1 but this is an issue for all versions above this as well.
All devices will show this error on the WiFi configuration.
-20163211100x87D161AA15002:Cannot lock network configuration
The SCEP config is in an error state but is blank.
No real information about that error online. Has anyone seen anything like this for macOS before?
