Folder for Windows Input Experience
When I powered up my computer this morning, I noticed a new file in the Downloads folder. The creation timestamp matched the time I woke the PC.
Exciting update: I’ve identified the file! I’m quite surprised that I had never encountered it before. (It pertains to emoji gifs)

How to create a list of units to show only those moving in the next 90 days?
I have a huge Excel list (I called Master Tracker; see screenshot) of units scheduled to move on a given date. I am using Excel 365. The list will capture one year ago from today and one year in the future from today. My master tracker is updated constantly as we add more units every month.
Monthly, I create a roll-up report for my boss which I call the “Baseball Card”. I use a PowerPoint slide (see screenshot attached) to show only the units scheduled to move within the next 90 days but, I have been doing this manually and using the Master Tracker as my reference. The yellow portion in column B in the Master Tracker shows already the units that are within the 90-day window from “today” (5AUG24).
Tired of doing manual calculations, I took the Excel Master Tracker and created a second tab called Baseball Card (see screenshot attached). The purpose of this tab is to substitute the PowerPoint presentation (Baseball card) done manually to reproduce all my data by using Excel formulas as much as possible.
I am doing well so far but the challenge I have now is to come up with a way to display a list (rows will vary depending on how many units) of “Forces projected next 90 days”. This list must display only the units (By MSC, by unit, and by country) within the next 90 days from today. I thought a Pivot table would do the trick, but I already tried and couldn’t figure it out. I really would appreciate any help on this.

SharePoint Document Library Request Sign-Off comments not displaying
I am attempting to use the native SharePoint feature in a document library… Select the file, and then select Automate and select Request Sign-Off.
The process works fine accept for the following.
When the user receives the message, they select the accept option and fills in the comment box.
The document is posted to SP as approved but the comments are not displayed.
When selecting the document and then looking at the information section on the right side of the screen, under “Activity”, SharePoint displays “this item has no comments”.
How do I view the comments provided by the user who approved the document?
Thanks.

Troubleshooting Screenshots Issues: A Guide to Resolving Problems
When capturing a screenshot on my new Windows 11 computer, I press the Windows key along with the Print Screen button. The screenshot is then saved in a folder named “Screenshots” within the files. However, I am encountering an issue where the screenshot appears as computer code when I try to open it. This problem is new to me, as I have not faced any difficulties with taking screenshots using the described method before. I seek assistance in resolving this issue.

Recent File List Missing from Jump List After 11/15 Updates
I rely heavily on the “recent files” feature on my jump lists to attach files to my Gmail emails. However, following the installation of Windows updates on 11/15, this option seems to have vanished from my system.
Despite ensuring that the “show recent files” settings are correctly configured in both my personalization and system settings, no solution from available tutorials or online research has resolved this issue.
The recent files were consistently displayed until recently, making me suspect that the problem may have been triggered by the Windows updates installed on 11/15.

Can you suggest a no-cost Windows 11 PE tool for fixing the MBR?
The free version of AOMEI does not support creating a bootable USB drive, and it seems that Gandalf’s tool requires a $20 donation. Do you know of any free software that can be used to create a bootable USB drive?

Troubleshooting Black Screen Issue When Loading MSI Katana GF66 with Windows 11 Pro v. 23H2
I am experiencing difficulties booting into my MSI Katana GF66 laptop, running Windows 11 Pro version 23H2. Initially, an Explorer window refused to appear on the screen while minimized, leading me to open Task Manager. Unfortunately, Task Manager became unresponsive, forcing me to close and reopen it. Despite attempting to restart Explorer from Task Manager, the issue persisted. Following a forced shutdown using the power button, I am now completely unable to boot into Windows.
Initially, the boot process was excessively slow, eventually leading to the login screen. However, after entering my password, the screen turned black without Windows loading. Despite numerous attempts using the “F” keys, I struggled to access the advanced startup options.
It is crucial for me to avoid resetting Windows at all costs due to various reasons. As an experienced corporate IT help desk professional with 25 years of expertise, I am capable of performing this task on my own. Hence, I am in search of alternative methods to repair what appears to be a corrupted boot partition.
The actions I have taken thus far include accessing Windows Advanced Startup Repair Options, which unfortunately informed me that it could not repair the issue. I also launched the command prompt from the Advanced Startup Repair and ran SFC /SCANNOW, which detected and purportedly repaired issues. However, DISM did not recognize the necessary options or switches for cleanup image or restorehealth.
Despite my efforts, I was unable to access Safe Mode, encountering errors during the process. Following online research, I found suggestions to run commands such as BOOTREC/FIXMBR, BOOTREC/FIXBOOT, BOOTSECT /NT60 SYS, and BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD to address potential boot-related problems.
Currently, I am seeking classic diagnostic software that can be booted from a USB flash drive, akin to the older “Hirens” utility. I possess a secondary laptop, a 12-year-old HP DV7 Entertainment running Windows 10 Pro, which I have had fewer issues with compared to the newer MSI Katana.
I am in urgent need of assistance with resolving this issue and would greatly appreciate prompt support. Thank you for your help.

Read Aloud on Mac vs. Read Aloud on iPad
This should be simple, but it’s proving not to be.
I recently discovered that the Read Aloud voice on my iPad is worlds better than the Read Aloud voices available on my Mac.
I’ve downloaded the two “Premium” voices on the Mac, Ava and Zoe, and neither come close to the “female” voice on the iPad, which does a truly remarkable job of reading text out loud.
Does anyone know how to access that same female voice that’s on the iPad on the Mac?

ADF Lookup Stored Procedure Error
I have a stored procedure that has the following format:
If (@x = 1)
BEGIN
RETURN SCOPE_IDENTITY()

I’m using a Lookup in ADF and it gives me an error: The specified Stored Procedure is not valid. It could be caused by that the stored procedure doesn’t return any data.
How can I get the value from this stored procedure in ADF and save it to a variable without changing the stored procedure to say SELECT ID = @Scope_Identity() and keeping the RETURN xxxxx?

Conditional Formatting for column based off data in another column
Hi! I am looking to apply conditional formatting to cells in Column AC when adjacent cells in column AB are not blank.
For example, both columns will have dates. Column AB is start date, Column AC is finish date.
I would like any cell in Column AC to change color when its adjacent cell in Column AB has a date entered IF AC cell is blank. Once cell in AC also has a date, it would return to no fill format.

Failed to create AppDomain
I am trying to deploy my SSIS package to the SSISDB Catalog on SQL Server 2012. When I deploy I receive this error message:

I remoted into the server and ran gacutil -l System.Data on command prompt and saw versions 4.0.0.0 and 2.0.0.0 showing up. I don’t think storage space is an issue. We have two disks (C & D) D has 369 GB free space, C has 34.1 GB free space.

Access denied, sending domain does not pass DMARC verification and has a DMARC policy of reject
This is super annoying. I’m not using Microsoft “defender”. I’m on the receiving end of its stick.
I noticed that when I start sending emails back and forth with some business that uses Microsoft 365 Defender to handle their emails, it works for a few initial emails. Maybe .about 5. But then all of a sudden my messages start bouncing back with the following message:
“Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 5.7.509 Access denied, sending domain ____.com does not pass DMARC verification and has a DMARC policy of reject.“
I tested my email for passing DMARC and found no issues with multiple services that do those DMARC tests. So the problem is clearly with the “defender“.
I also noticed that if I resend the message the next day, it goes through. But only if I don’t send too many emails – which is generally about 5.
Does anyone have any idea when will they fix it?

I noticed that when I start sending emails back and forth with some business that uses Microsoft 365 Defender to handle their emails, it works for a few initial emails. Maybe .about 5. But then all of a sudden my messages start bouncing back with the following message: “Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 5.7.509 Access denied, sending domain ____.com does not pass DMARC verification and has a DMARC policy of reject.”I tested my email for passing DMARC and found no issues with multiple services that do those DMARC tests. So the problem is clearly with the “defender”.I also noticed that if I resend the message the next day, it goes through. But only if I don’t send too many emails – which is generally about 5. ERROR 4819
SQL Server: 2019
ERROR (4819) -” Cannot bulk load. The bulk data stream was incorrectly specified as sorted or the data violates a uniqueness constraint imposed by the target table. Sort order incorrect for the follow”
We tested the exact same stored procedures on SQL2019 System A and everything worked as expected. But it gives errors when we test on the SQL SERVER 2019 System B.
SQL Server A and SQL Server B are the same version, 2019 but something is causing these jobs to fail.
I’m not sure what to do next. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Teams I no longer belong to still reappear in my Teams list
For several years, I’ve noticed that old teams I no longer belong to still appear in my Teams list. These are teams I initially created but later manually left through the Teams app. They show up in both Teams for the Web and Teams Desktop, affecting both Classic and New Teams versions. I assumed it was a bug that would eventually be fixed, but after about three years, they still persist.
I’ve tried clearing the Teams cache, browser cache, reinstalling Teams, and other troubleshooting steps, but the issue remains. It seems to be some kind of bug or persistent cloud caching. Even after leaving these teams years ago, they still reappear. When I click on one, I get an error message saying I no longer have access, and then it disappears, only to return within a day or two. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
