Treat a row as an array inside an array formulation
Hello there,
Running Excel 365. Attaching a sample document for better understanding.
I am trying to compute the final price of a product on each year of its project. The final price is based on an initial price and percentage discounts that are cumulative year over year. For this purpose, I use SCAN function and returns the desired output beautifully.
Now, I need a second consideration for the computation of the price. There are some price components that expire before the end of the whole project. That is, I need to substract some amount from the price at a given date, since that concept is no longer computing to the final price and it has already been amortized. For this other purpose, I use some references that allows the final user only to enter the value that is going to be substracted and during how many years is this particular value going to be amortized. Then, the formulation “drops” that amount once the years of amortization are completed.
These two functionalities (% discount and dropping price component) work when I formulate them apart. However, I need them to be together. The issue is that one of the ranges in the formulation for the latter functionality is not treated as an array and, therefore, it does not dynamically “move” within the range and everything breaks. How can I rearrange the formulation and make this range be a functional array (with minimum alteration of the concept behind this formualtion)?
Thank you so much for any kind support.

Slow Table with lot of registers
Hello,
I have a database with a big table that I store sensor values, basically the structure is
ID, DataTime, SensorID, Value.
Each sensor sends data each minute, I have more than 100 sensors, so every day is a lot of records (more than 20.000.000 each month)…
2/3 months is not bad, but more than that is getting slow every time I want to do a graph, doing a
“select … where data>X and data<y and sensorid=z”
How can I speed up things and make this more efficient?
Thanks for any tip.

Bing Chat service delay issue
Hello, I am an IT manager considering the introduction of Bing Chat services for businesses. After logging in and using it in protected mode, I am consistently unable to receive a response after a message that says ‘reconnecting’ appears following a maximum of 2 turns. I am curious if this is only happening today or if it is a recurring issue. I would also appreciate it if you could inform me about any available support within the license agreement.

How do I fix QuickBooks Error 40001 while Activating Direct Deposit in QuickBooks Desktop?
Troubleshooting Solutions : QuickBooks Error 40001
Encountering “QuickBooks Error 40001” can disrupt workflow and cause frustration. This error typically indicates a communication problem between QuickBooks Desktop and the database server. Here’s how to troubleshoot and resolve it:
Restart QuickBooks Database Server Manager: Begin by restarting the QuickBooks Database Server Manager. Navigate to the Windows Start menu, type “Services” in the search bar, and press Enter. Locate the QuickBooksDBXX service (XX denotes the version of QuickBooks), right-click on it, and select Restart. Repeat this process for other related services like QuickBooksDBXX (QBDBXX) and QuickBooksDBXX (QBCFMonitorService).Check QuickBooks Hosting: Verify that QuickBooks Desktop is not set to host multi-user access. Open QuickBooks on the host computer, navigate to the File menu, select Utilities, and then select Stop Hosting Multi-User Access. Ensure that hosting multi-user access is enabled only on the computer designated as the server.Verify Network Connectivity: Confirm that all computers connected to the QuickBooks company file have proper network connectivity. Check network cables, routers, and switches for any signs of malfunction. Ensure that workstations have proper network access to the server hosting the company file.Update QuickBooks: Ensure that QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest version. Outdated software may encounter compatibility issues leading to Error 40001. Go to the Help menu, select Update QuickBooks, and follow the prompts to download and install any available updates.Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Adjust firewall and antivirus settings to allow QuickBooks Desktop to communicate with the database server. Add exceptions for QuickBooks and its associated processes in firewall and antivirus software settings to prevent them from blocking necessary connections.Run QuickBooks File Doctor: Intuit provides a tool called QuickBooks File Doctor, which can diagnose and repair various QuickBooks-related issues, including Error 40001. Download and run the tool from the Intuit website, and follow the on-screen instructions to scan and repair your company file.Reset Sync Manager: If you’re using QuickBooks Sync Manager, reset it to resolve Error 40001. Open QuickBooks, go to the Help menu, and select Manage Data Sync. Choose Reset Sync Manager and follow the prompts to reset the sync process.Recreate QuickBooks Network Data (.ND) File: If the issue persists, recreate the QuickBooks Network Data (.ND) file associated with the company file. Close QuickBooks on all workstations and navigate to the folder containing the company file. Locate the corresponding .ND file, rename it, and reopen QuickBooks. QuickBooks will automatically recreate the .ND file, potentially resolving any corruption issues causing the error.
By following these troubleshooting steps, users can effectively address QuickBooks Error 40001 and resume normal operations in QuickBooks Desktop without significant disruption. If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, it may be necessary to contact QuickBooks support for further assistance.

EXECUTE AS WITH COOKIE causing performance degradation
Hi,
We’re seeing an issue with SQL server where the performance of the server degrades over time when there are a large amount of EXECUTE AS USER statements.
We’re hosting a legacy system based on SharePoint which is generating these transactions so in the short term we are unable to obtain the source to refactor this code.
To minimally replicate the issue we can run the following code:
DECLARE @counter INT = 1;
DECLARE @cookie VARBINARY(100);
WHILE @counter <= 5000
BEGIN
EXECUTE AS USER = N’DataReader’ WITH COOKIE INTO @cookie;
REVERT WITH COOKIE = @cookie
SET @counter += 1;
END
The first run takes just over 2 seconds, and then subsequent runs take progressively longer to complete.
Run
Duration

2
00:03.437
3
00:04.984
4
00:07.094
5
00:09.875
6
00:13.578
Restarting the SQL server service restores performance back to the start.
From running the SQL Profiler, it seems as if the bottleneck is with the EXECUTE AS USER statement, and the REVERT statement takes approximately 0ms every time.
From running various numbers through this I’ve found that running batches of 30 per second doesn’t seem to degrade performance, but after a while, 60 per second does.
Furthermore, if we run just:
EXECUTE AS USER = N’DataReader’
REVERT
And we’re not storing the cookie, then I can run 50k in the loop, it takes 0.5 seconds, and doesn’t degrade performance with subsequent runs.
We’re running this test internally on SQL Server 2016, but we’ve also run the same test on Azure SQL, which I can only assume is running the latest version. It exhibits the same behaviour, so it would appear that simply upgrading versions wouldn’t solve the problem.
Does anyone know what’s going on here? Is the performance being degraded by storage of these cookies? If so, where are they even being stored and is there any way to mitigate this or periodically clear the cookie cache to get some of the lost performance back?
Any thoughts on the matter welcome!
Mat

Pinned tab groups do not exhibit ‘pinning’ behaviour.
Whatever pinned tab-groups do, it’s not well explained, and probably broken.
If they ought to expedite or facilitate guaranteed loading at browser startup, as ‘pinned’ tabs (not groups) are explained on the browsers marketing page, then congratulations, they don’t. The browser instead loads the most recent tabs in reverse chronological order. If you have to many tabs, loading may not happen at all for some portion the tabs in the ‘pinned’ group.
If they ought to change something visually as the word ‘pinning’ in Microsoft-Land would suggest, and ‘pinned’ tabs demonstrate, that is not the case either.
What on earth does a ‘pinned’ tab group actually do?

Number format within a text formula
Hello,
I’m trying to put numbers from cell references into a formula, which itself is simple, but how do I format those numbers once there?
i.e. I would like to say ‘±1% tolerance for 100°C = ±1.00°C’
but I get ‘±0.01 tolerance for 100°C = ±1°C
I would always like to show 2 decimal places, even if it is .00
I would also like to show the ±0.01 as 1%
=”±”&B3&” tolerance of “&A3&”°C” &” = ±”&A3*B3&”°C”

Is it possible to show values only once in a pivot table?
I’m starting to question weather this should all be in one pivot table…but I have a pivot table that looks like this:
col_1 col_2 col_3 value_1 value_2
TEAM unique_ID JOB salary OT
in my pivot there will be “duplicate rows”, for example.
Team 1 ID100 Job 1 $20,000 50
” ” Job 2 $80,000 50
The 50 is coming from a separate OT table and is linked by unique ID not by job. So i get why it’s showing twice. Is there any way to have it show for just the first instance? The total at the bottom is only 50, which is accurate. Not sure if there is a formatting/display solution or if I need to edit OT table.

Optimizing Sales Processes: Integrating Copilot for Sales for renewal and Custom Salesforce Features
Hello everyone,
I’ve been striving to implement Copilot for Sales within our sales team.
However, it has come to my attention that the current opportunities we’re encountering mainly involve renewals. We’re exploring the possibility of integrating Copilot for Sales directly into Outlook to address this.
Additionally, our Salesforce platform has customizations, including a parent-child relationship setup, which we’re keen to leverage. We’re seeking guidance on how to achieve this effectively.
I’ve attached a screenshot of the opportunity creation process for reference.
I’ve searched extensively online but haven’t found relevant information. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
