Understanding the Right-Click Issue in this Image
In Windows 11, when the Spotlight background feature is enabled, you can access additional information about the picture by right-clicking the Learn about this picture icon. A dialog box will appear with relevant details.
However, if you switch to the classic context menu by modifying the registry settings, right-clicking on Learn about this picture will only display an Open option, similar to double-clicking. This opens a full-screen web page without the convenient shortcuts available in the default pop-up box.
Unfortunately, I could not discover any workaround to reinstate the pop-up functionality while using the classic context menu. If there is a way to achieve this, I may have overlooked it. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Create a Taskbar Shortcut for Notepad
I have returned once more!
I have screenshots of a desktop shortcut for a Network Attached Storage device’s settings page that I want to pin to either Start or the Taskbar. I recently discovered with your guidance that for certain shortcuts, the term “Explorer” needs to be included before the shortcut’s target. However, there is no such option available for this particular shortcut. In the past, you could drag these shortcuts onto the taskbar in Windows 10 and earlier versions, but that no longer seems to be possible. Can someone offer assistance, please?

System Issue After Reboot: Seeking Assistance in Identifying the Root Cause
Today, when I rebooted my system, a strange issue occurred. Despite running scans that detected no problems, including chkdsk, sfc, and using Avast antivirus, I encountered a glitch where Explorer would not respond.
After rebooting with diagnostic level boot via msconfig and disabling all programs except Microsoft’s services, Explorer worked fine. However, as I gradually enabled Microsoft services, the issue reappeared. I have repeated this cycle multiple times but haven’t been able to identify the specific service causing the problem.
I am hesitant to perform a clean install as I recently switched from the insider to the public version, and I never experienced this issue while on the insider versions. If anyone has any insights or solutions to this perplexing problem, I would greatly appreciate it. The image attached shows how Explorer appears when all Microsoft services are running, contrasting with the expected minimal appearance when only essential services are active. Thank you in advance for any assistance provided.

Desktop Save Option Missing
Hey there,
I’m diving into the world of Windows 11 for the first time, so I seek your guidance with this inquiry. Something unexpected has occurred. When attempting to download a file, I noticed that the usual option to save it directly to my desktop is no longer available. To add to the mystery, the Desktop icon is nowhere to be found in Windows Explorer.
I’m baffled as I haven’t made any significant changes recently. Your insights into this peculiar situation would be immensely appreciated.
Just a heads up, my system is up-to-date with all the latest updates, and I’m running Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (OS Build 22631.2861).
Thanks a ton for your assistance!

Windows 11 Freezing and Crashing Issue
Hello,
I’ve been encountering persistent computer issues since transitioning from Windows 10 to a fresh installation of Windows 11. The problems arise in the form of random freezes, gradually locking up all functions. This occurs during various activities like watching videos, gaming, or simply reading. Typically, I use dual monitors with YouTube on one and a game/program on the other.
When the freezing starts, it initiates with windows and spreads to other programs. Although I can still interact in a limited manner, such as pressing buttons that respond but with no new loading, the system essentially becomes unresponsive. Ultimately, I’m forced to restart using the power button, as attempting a reset through Windows is ineffective.
The challenge lies in the lack of identifiable issues or errors in the Windows logbook, suggesting that the OS isn’t detecting the problem. Despite trying various recommended solutions, like driver reinstalls and BIOS adjustments, the freezing persists, leaving me perplexed.
I seek assistance in identifying overlooked or missed details that may be causing these ongoing disruptions. Your insight and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to request additional information, and my system specs are also accessible on my profile for reference.
Thank you in advance for any support you can offer.

New User can’t view the Outlook Delegates page in Microsoft 365
Hi everyone,
we are having trouble with one user who cannot open the “Delegate Page” of his account.
There was no migration – just an hybrid created user with an RemoteMailbox.
I tried this Cannot view Outlook Delegates page – Exchange | Microsoft Learn – but it does not fix it.
Created a new profile in Outlook 365 – also not working
Changed the language to english – also not working.
It must be some kind of permission error in his mailbox – can anyone tell me where to look next?
BR
Stephan

Character encoding in field names when working with power automate
This morning, I ran into an issue that I thought that someone else out there might run into. If you have a field name for example “SSL2” SharePoint is going to encode that field name with something like “_x0053_SL2″ you can see this name in the end of the URL when you open the list settings, then select that column. However, if you then try to use this field name in an OData filter you will get an error that the column does not exist. I was able to figure out that the field name when you are trying to access that field in the OData filter is “OData__x0053_SL2”. I was able to figure this out by creating a step that called Get Items without a filter then I checked the data that was returned.
Hope this helps someone!

“Two User Accounts Sharing the Same Username”
When booting up my computer, I noticed that there are two accounts with identical usernames. Should one of the accounts be removed? It’s important to determine which account has administrative privileges and which does not. If a user can operate their computer with an administrative account, is there a reason for a non-administrative account to occupy valuable storage and resources?

Screen Freezing and Glitching Upon Waking from Sleep Mode
Hello,
I have encountered a persistent issue with my new Chinese laptop featuring an Intel i7-1280P processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM in single channel, and a 1TB SSD. Upon waking the laptop from sleep mode, the screen freezes, and at times, even exhibits glitches (refer to video: VID_20240105_005729393~2.mp4). The only temporary solution is to force a shutdown.
– Despite examining the Event Viewer logs, the only critical error reported is that “the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.”
– A memtest was conducted, but no RAM issues were detected.
– A complete reinstallation of Windows 11 was performed, but the problem persisted.
I am open to repeating any troubleshooting steps suggested. As this is my initial post, please advise on additional information that may be required.

I am unable to log in as an administrator.
This all began when I tried to bypass the lock screen on my Windows 11 computer. Following advice from an online source, I pressed the Windows+R keys and entered “netplwiz,” leading to an inadvertent error in the settings that now prevents me from running any programs. Due to the lack of administrator privileges, I am unable to authorize changes and face the frustrating situation of being unable to log in as an admin or modify my account type through the control panel. Being the one who constructed this PC, it is ironic that a seemingly innocuous action has disrupted its functionality after a year of trouble-free operation. In a state of desperation for a solution, this issue has even resulted in damage to one of my monitors.

Activat Device CAD (Server 2019) – not RDS CAL
Hello,
I am new in this forum. I am dealing with Software Development for decades but administration of (Microsoft) Servers is quite new to me.
We have a single server running and 10 clients attached to it.
Now we need more clients to have access to this server and – as far as I was told – we need more CALs (device not user CALs).
If found hundreds of instructions on how to install “RDS CALs” and I was told that there is a difference between RDS CALs and normal device CALs for more users. (We do not need remote desktop).
So my question is:
How do I install the devices CALs in Windows Server 2019.
As I said we are not talking about RDS CALs.
Can anybody tell me how to do that?
Thank you in advance.

Old outlook design – issues with rules not working, not visible at all
So I have few rules that suddenly got disabled (actually completely gone would be correct phrase), and I get this error:
“There was an error reading the rules from the server. The format of the server rules was not recognized.”
I tried running all regular routines Copilot posted back to me:
– Windows updates, Outlook updates, Dell updates (there was a new BIOS firmware update missing, but applying this didn’t sort out the issue)
– rules are not visible at all in Outlook, tried creating a new Outlook profile but error was still there
– tried resetting SRS files, and creating new OST file, and did both options on cached exchange modes, tried with disabling all add-ins for possible conflicts (no, none of this resolved the issue)
Check on the webmail confirms that rules are there and working (this is about exchange account). Tried new Outlook and yes rules are visible and working there too. Switching back to old Outlook error pops out again and rules are not visible at all (therefore it’s not possible to switch them off and on again).
If you ask me new Outlook design is just fine, but so many members is hooked up to the old Outlook, and I am trying to find solution for them.
Any help, thoughts you could share here would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Clients do not access shared resources when the domain controller is unavailable
Good morning,
I need help to solve this problem.
My network structure is composed of a DC (maindc) and 3 other servers located on different sites.
The client PCs access the shared resources from the site where they are located.
When the DC is not available it happens that the client PCs do not reach the shared resources (distributed printers, shared folders).
Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this problem?
Thank you for your help

Azure Entra User OAuth with NextJS14
Hi all,
I am currently developing community web application using NextJs14 for an organization. I am hoping to integrate Azure Entra service as a user management service to secure the application. My current requirements are,
Onboard guest users and SSO with third party providers like Google
Manage organization member users
Role base access control for the web application (Ex: creating a user group for admins and only admins should be able to access to the application admin dashboard)
Is anyone has integrated Azure Entra with NextJs14 app router while achieving above requirements.
I have tried to find sample project or documentation which explain the integrating process, but I couldn’t found much, specially how to add custom roles to the users (admins) and implement authorization restrictions on the web pages like admin dashboards.
Also is NextAuth.js library supports for the RBAC with Microsoft Entra out of the box, or is there any alternatives.
