Since CB 2403, downloading applications through CMG during task sequence not working anymore
Hello everyone,
since the 2403 ConfigMgr Upgrade we have the issue that during task sequences downloading applications doesn’t work anymore. TS is stuck on “Install Application” until it times out after hours. This happens only, if content is being retrieved by a CMG. Packages are working pretty fine, it is just applications.
On Reddit, a few others are reporting the same. One solution provided was to disable Branch Cache in client settings, but this doesn’t help during a task sequence.
Downloading the same applications within Windows and the Software Center through CMG is working well.
Anyone experienced this issue and may have a solution?
Cheers,
Ray

What’s New: Create your own codeless data connector
Today we’re announcing the general availability of the Codeless Connectors Platform (CCP) in Microsoft Sentinel that provides partners, advanced users, and developers the ability to create custom connectors for ingesting data to Microsoft Sentinel.
How is this CCP different from the previous version?
The initial version of the CCP was announced in January of 2022. Since then, we’ve improved upon the platform and the legacy release is no longer recommended. This new version of the CCP has the following key improvements:
Better support for various authentication and pagination types.
Supports standard data collection rules (DCRs).
The user interface and connection configuration portions of the codeless connector are separate now. This allows the creation of connectors with multiple connections which wasn’t possible previously.
At present, CCP allows connections to any data source with a public REST API endpoint.
Key benefits of using CCP:
Eliminates the need to write code for connecting to public REST APIs.
Offers a scalable, built-in Poller as a service.
Provides configurable UI components for your connector.
Enables monitoring of your connectors; CCP integrates with Sentinel Connector Health messages, allowing for troubleshooting and health status updates.
Currently, CCP support connectors that are based on RestAPI, S3 and GCP.
Getting started
Prerequisites
Before building a connector, understand your data source and how Microsoft Sentinel needs to connect.
Data Collection Endpoint (DCE)
A DCE is a requirement for a DCR. Only one DCE is created per log analytics workspace DCR deployment. Every DCR deployed for a Microsoft Sentinel workspace uses the same DCE. For more information on how to create one or whether you need a new one, see Data collection endpoints in Azure Monitor.
Schema of the output table(s).
It’s important to understand the shape of your data stream and the fields you want to include in the output table. Reference your data source documentation or analyze sufficient output examples.
Research the following components and verify support for them in the Data Connector API reference:
HTTP request and response structure to the data source
Authentication required by the data source.
For example, if your data source requires a token signed with a certificate, the data connector API reference specifies cert authentication isn’t supported.
Pagination options to the data source
We also recommend a tool like Postman to validate the data connector components. For more information, see Use Postman with the Microsoft Graph API.
Build the data connector
There are 4 components required to build the CCP data connector.
Output table definition
Data Collection Rule (DCR)
Data connector user interface
Data connector connection rules
Follow the steps for creating each component before creating the deployment template.
Deploy the connector
Copy the contents of the ARM deployment template.
Follow the Edit and deploy the template instructions from the article, Quickstart: Create and deploy ARM templates by using the Azure portal.
Verify the codeless connector
View your codeless connector in the data connector gallery. Open the data connector and complete any authentication parameters required to connect . Once successfully connected, the DCR and custom tables are created. View the DCR resource in your resource group and any custom tables from the logs analytics workspace.
Refer to the following illustration as an example of one of the connectors: this connector requires token endpoint, authorization token, user activity logs endpoint, client ID and client secret.
Note that It may take up to 30 minutes to see data begin ingesting.
What to Expect in the Future:
1. Platform extensibility:
Support APIs that are based on nested API calls.
Support for push type connectors.
Allow selection of endpoint in multi rule connectors.
KQL transformation in ingest time.
and more…
2. Dedicated webinar for creating a codeless data connectors.
3. UI that will assist creating codeless data connectors.

Refresh PowerQuery table gives #REF
Hi everyone,
I have created a table in Excel through PowerQuery. I expanded the table with additional formula columns that also refer to the query input columns using the table column headers (for example [@[column 1]] ). The issue is that when the query is being refreshed, the referring columns receive a #REF error. A Google search to similar issues recommended to turn on the “overwrite cells with new data” function. However, I did not have luck with this.
Does anyone know that whether my approach is possible or do I have to look for a workaround?

Can I change what time of day the booking system becomes available to users?
MS bookings, by default sets this to midnight with no visible option to change the time, which means our users stay up to midnight in order to access the very limited services we have throughout the year. I could look at changing timezones, but I feel that I will be moving the issue elsewhere?
Thanks for your help

Excel protect ranges
Hello all,
I have one Excel file with several work sheets, in the first one I have several hyperlinks for each of the page, with different names, so hyperlink to John will directly open worksheet for John.
I need to send to all team and each of them must have the access only to his own hyperlink / page, not the other, so question:
It’s possible to block parts of the first worksheet with different passwords, meaning I’ll create a password for each user, then when they press the hyperlink with his name, the Excel will ask for the password and allow only that specific cellule / hyperlink.
I tried with “Allow Edit Ranges” but is not working.
Can some of you help me, please?
thank you

Outlook for Mac calendar reminder does not pop up when it needs to
Hey everyone,
I’m encountering a peculiar issue with my MacOS X Samona and Outlook for Mac.
Main goal is to make the Reminder pop-up appear and remind me of a meeting.
The problem is as follows:
I have a Google Workspace Account configured on my Outlook.
I have a meeting in my Outlook calendar
When the time comes for a reminder to pop up, nothing happens.
When I focus Outlook (it’s already opened ) and choose the calendar, the reminder pops up.
My current workaround is to import all my calendars into the Mac calendar app, which sends me notifications for upcoming meetings.
I reinstalled it completely, cleaned everything with App Cleaner, removed everything left off in the Library, and tested a bunch of suggestions in some forums. Nothing is still this issue. I’ve been using Outlook for Mac for over ten years and have experienced such a case for the first time.
Currently, I’m searching for a way to troubleshoot it like:
– Close all apps except Outlook
– Open Apple “Console” app and filter by Outlook
– Set a meeting after 1 minute and put a reminder “on startup”
– Wait for that minute and try to catch something from the log
– The Reminder GUI window does not pop up.
Here is the log:
Software info:

Inline YAML editing with Microsoft Copilot in Azure
YAML is a popular format for defining configuration files, especially for cloud-native applications that run on Kubernetes. However, writing and maintaining YAML files can be challenging, as they are prone to errors, hard to read, and require a lot of manual work. In today’s video, we’re showing Microsoft Copilot in Azure, a powerful AI assistant that among many other things, helps you write better YAML files faster and easier.
The video above showcases how to use Copilot in Azure for YAML editing for applications being deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
The video features:
How to create a new YAML file for a deployment specification using Copilot. You will see how Copilot can generate the YAML code based on your natural language description, and how you can modify and customize the generated code using the inline editor.
How to format and validate your YAML file using Copilot. You will see how Copilot can automatically indent and align your YAML code, and how it can detect and fix common syntax and semantic errors in your YAML file.
How to understand and explain your YAML file using Copilot. You will see how Copilot can provide helpful comments and annotations for your YAML code, and how it can answer your questions about the YAML syntax and semantics using natural language.
How to open the chat for Copilot in Azure. You will see how you can access the Copilot chat window from the Azure portal, and how you can interact with Copilot using natural language commands and queries.

Entra Private network Connector very slow compared to direct access using pass-through
I have a web based application with a backend SQL server attached to it. We have both internal and external users accessing it. Internal users go directly to the https website, while external users go through the application proxy.
After logging in, and open a project which fires off a SQL query, there is a huge delay when going through the proxy that i cant figure out why.
Internally looking up a project takes between 10-20 sec depending on the size of the project, while using the same method and same project through the proxy we are waiting 1-2 minutes for the same result.
The old server is running in a DMZ sone, and i want to replace this with a app proxy based server, but being so slow I’m not able to move forward.
Any ideas what to look for?

The Curiously Unfinished Outlook Settings API
The Outlook settings API is a unfinished Graph API that can read and update some but not all mailbox settings. It’s a pity that the API is incomplete because it would be nice to have a comprehensive API that supported every mailbox setting, including some of the more recently introduced tweaks seen in OWA. The current state of the Outlook settings API is usable but not for much, but at least it can update mailbox auto-reply settings.
