SharePoint Can I prevent my content editors from editing Home Page?
My Content Editors can create news using this lovely menu. You can navigate there by going to HomePage>>New>>News
I would like to prevent my Content Editors from editing the Home Page, but allow them to keep creating news. I can remove their permissions from the Home Page by navigating to Site Pages>>Home Site>> Permissions.
However, if I do that, the option to create News disappears. The Content Editors still have Edit rights on the entire Site Pages library. They can still create pages by navigating to Site Pages library and clicking on New, then publish them as news on the site, but the nice lovely menu is nowhere to be found.
How can my Content Editors, who have Edit rights on Site Pages library but only view rights to Home Page, access the lovely menu?

Labels (for zero valued cells) when set to show series name won’t dissappear.
Hi,
I’m trying to create a graph with labels that will appear only when there are non-zero values in the cells. When I tick label contains Value and I add in the cusotm number format #”” the label dissappears when the cell value is zero. If I tick Label contains “Series Name” then the label always appears. Is there a way, custom format etc. to have the same behavious as when I’m using the cell value in the label?

AVD preferred app gourp type
As far as I know, the “Preferred App group type” option is new within the AVD host pool. However, when I enter Remote Apps there, my Remote Desktop is no longer shown and vice versa. Does anyone recognize this?

Hyper-V on server 26227.5000 with VM on Hyper-V – VM only starts when disabling secure boot
Hi everyone,
installed server 26227.500o on Hardware dl360 gen9 – as a test-system – runs smoothly.
But a VM freshly installed crashes immediately after reboot.
All tested with/without tpm, only with disabled secure boot vms is running and booting properly.
Any tipps / thoughts

XLOOKUP formula not working
Hello
I’m having trouble with the XLOOKUP formula, my excel doesn’t show that it has this formula. I have the newest version of excel and the formula worked perfect on my other computer – windows and now I have Mac Air. I transferred all the files and nothing is working.
The formula
=XLOOKUP(A3;Toiduained!A:A;Toiduained!B:B;)
and shows error #NAME?

Busy on Busy settings
We use Teams to make phonecalls and use the busy on busy settings with the busy signal.
But we have a problem now with transfering incoming calls.
If a co-worker receives an incoming call and wants to transfer it with feedback to me, the treansferred call disconnects after transfer because Teams thinks I am still in a call. (the feedback call)
How can we solve this issue?

Secondary mailboxes and FSLogix Roam Identity
HI,
Got a bit of a puzzler, so we have a client who uses outlook to access the main mailbox on the tenant, but they also have a secondary mailbox added to outlook from a different tenant, so when they log in it authenticates to both, all good. The reason they have it set up this way is to do with signatures.
With existing FSLogix this works fine, we then upgraded them to the latest, this changes the authentication method and puts the token on EntraID, the secondary mailbox now wants the password every time, as its on another tenant. Makes sense, so enabled Roam Identity to put back status quo. However this then pulls the machine out of EntraID/Intune, and recommendations is not to use Roam Identity if enrolled into Intune.
Anyone else come across this or any way forward/guidance, have about 50+ users set up this way?

Make software oath mandatory in addition to other MFA methods
Hi,
We’re seeing quite a few issues with users who bought a new phone, and subsequently are locked out of their account due to MS Authenticator not properly porting their information to their new device. I’ve been trying to promote using software oath (in our case configure MFA using 1Password) to prevent such lockouts and reduce the number of support tickets , but with limited success so far.
Is there a way to not just make MFA in general mandatory, but also specify that software 2FA app needs to be one of them (in addition to e.g. MS Authenticator)?

what is the meaning of flags in Digiinfo?

When using Digiinfo to examine the touchpad output, the ‘buttons and flag’ column has four types of flags: tip, confidence tip, confidence, and blank. What do these four flags mean respectively? How are these flags generated?
The flag is “Tip” when I touch the touchpad with a palm.

The flag is “confidence” when my finger leave the touch pad.
The flag is blank when no object touches the touchpad.

New Outlook client – view online archive of shared mailbox
Hi there,
I have a user who has an Office 365 E3 license and is using the new Outlook client.
He has access to a shared mailbox and it is appearing on the client.
The shared mailbox has an in-place/online archive but it is not appearing on the client.
The archive of the shared mailbox appears on the old Outlook client and on OWA.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
I checked and found the below:
It mentions that shared mailboxes are supported and online archives also, but no mention of the online archive of a shared mailbox.
Does anyone have more info?
e.g. an official technote from Microsoft on whether it is supported or not.

Using Azure Storage Blob as a CDN using Azure CDN – Anonymous Public Access

I am wondering if anyone here has any answers to help solve for this problem. We have a CDN which is used by a public website. The CDN is using Azure CDN / Frontdoor with a custom domain and is connected to the Azure storage blob using a VPN. The Storage blob is setup to only accept connections from the VPN and specified IP addresses and to add new content to the storage blob you need to request elivated permissions via PIM to an RBAC role specific to this storage blob.
The problem is the company I am working for want to enforce disabling anonymous public access to the storage blob and we can’d use SAS tokens from the website. Our tests show that doing so stops anyone accessing the website from being able to load assets from our CDN.
Is there some way to configure the storage blob to accept anonymous public access only from the CDN while still turning off the anonymous public access on the storage blob?

Choosing Between Graph API Requests or Graph SDK Cmdlets
Deciding whether to use Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK cmdlets or Graph API requests is sometimes not easy. Some say that it’s best to use Graph API requests everywhere and avoid the complication of possibly buggy Graph PowerShell SDK cmdlets. My approach is different. How to Remove Windows 10 from Windows10/11 dual boot?
I’ve been running Windows 10 and Windows 11 as a dual-boot setup on my computer, but now I want to remove the Windows 10 installation altogether. However, I’m having trouble figuring out how to do this. Can anyone help me with this? I’ve tried using the built-in Disk Management tool to delete the Windows 10 partition, but it seems like that’s not a viable option. I’ve also tried using third-party software, but I’m not sure if those tools will actually remove all the files and registry entries associated with the Windows 10 installation.

Risk when pressing Ctrl+z in File Explorer
Hi, I have been facing a critical issue with my files when using Ctrl+z by mistake. I know that when clicking Ctrl+z in File Explorer, it Undo the recent action on the file. However, this will create an issue if it was done unintentionaly.
Scenario:
1- create a new file
2- open the file and type anything in it.
3- save the file and exit
4- press Ctrl+z : this will delete the file immidiately
The only way to recover the file is to press Ctrl+y, however, the content will be gone as if it was a new file.
I beleive that this would affect users data and they won’t be able to recover their recent work.

How to install Windows Server 2016 Core as a VM that has the GUI?
I have an installation of an ISO for Windows Server 2016 Core that I would like to run, but only within a VM but it came without the GUI, and I wanted to install the GUI version during setup but I wasn’t able to. And since I’m running this installation only for the VM, I’m not sure how to set it up in the VM with the GUI.
Upon opening the installation, I am only given the ability to type into command prompt, and I cannot install other modules from there using Get-WindowsFeature

Macro to find missing data points from list
Hi All,
I have a spreadsheet which records prices for items each per day (10am to 5pm). The spreadsheet records prices for many funds and timeslots, so when reviewing to see if any were missed for a period can be time consuming and hard to identify.
To help with this I was wondering if I can use a macro to find missing prices, given we have an expected price for 10:00,11:00,12:00,13:00,14:00,15:00,16:00,17:00 each day it has any price. So if a fund has no data/row of information at all for say 17:00, but prices for all other times on the same date it has been missed.
I have put together an example with two funds, being ABC and CAT. The example has prices for both funds at each time point on the first date, however then the 17:00 data is missing for CAT on the second. I would manually find this and put the information on the missing prices tab.
Since the spreadsheet can cover years of data, i often review a month or quarter at a time. So I am hoping to only include missed prices which are between the start and end of period dates given on the analysis tab.
Greatly appreciate any tips or insight on how to do this.

Moving basic planner to premium planner.
We’re testing the new planner premium features and are unable to convert our current plans to show the new features.
We have the ability to create a new premium plans but the information on learn doesn’t match what we’re seeing in app on team and on the web.

We’ve also tried creating a Premium plan and recreating the buckets of the original plan with the aim to move the tasks to the new plan but the new plan does not show on the main list.
Are we missing something?
