People column in SharePoint list not showing people card
Having a new issue with SharePoint where I have a custom list created. This list tracks people.
The people column in the list will no longer show the people card associated with our company.
Previously I could switch between “Open in Immersive Mode” or “Open in Site” and it would allow me to view the contact card in “Open in Site” mode.
When I hover or click on the column nothing happens.

Cannot Mount ISO File
I bought an HP Omen HP 16wd0073dx a few weeks ago. I am trying to mount an ISO file for a course I’m taking. I downloaded the file twice in case the first was corrupted. I open File Explorer > right click on the file > select Mount, and I get a spinning wheel and Windows Explorer becomes inactive. I have to ctrl+alt+delete into task manager and end the task.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

OneDrive, Files on demand: OneDrive/Windows11 automatically downloads .vhdx files from the cloud
Strange behavior: I have a (huge) file “C:UsersUserOneDriveDriver ASUS G733PZMACR_G733PZ.vhdx” on my OneDrive as a “File on Demand” (kept in the cloud only as a backup) and every time I open that directory from File Explorer (Windows 11 23H2, OneDrive 24.091.0505.0003) for unknown reasons it automatically starts downloading the .vhdx on my physical disk (it seems this has something to do with the OS Search Indexer)!
If I do never open that OneDrive dir it doesn’t happen but as as soon I browse that dir it starts…
To make it stop doing this on next reboots I’ve had to rename the file on demand as “file.vhdx.bak”, it worked. This shouldn’t happen and the OneDrive or Windows OS team should prevent the system from downloading .vhdx marked as files on demand in cloud only.

Formulas from a downloaded Excel file are not working
Hello,
I have a downloaded Excel file that uses basic TIMEVALUE, DATEVALUE, INDEX/MATCH functions. However in my Excel and ONLY in my Excel, those are not working properly. The formulas only return #VALUE! errors. I’ve tested downloading said file from 2 other computers with the same Excel version (2019) but those are working.
Here’s a sample:
The format of the dates under Date of Bid are dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss.
Thank you.

Inbox Innovations: Mastering Outlook’s Power Tools for Productivity
Outlook has recently introduced several new features to improve the user experience. Some of the highlights include the ability to customize the display density of your inbox, a new Focused Inbox feature that automatically sorts your emails into two tabs, the ability to snooze emails, and integration with other apps to provide a unified experience. Additionally, Copilot can assist you in drafting AI-generated emails, summarizing lengthy email threads, and scheduling meetings.
Let’s look at some of these features in detail.
Density of View:
The display density in Outlook refers to how much information is visible at a glance within your inbox. It determines the number of messages you can see and how they are displayed in the inbox column.
Compact View: Choosing a compact density allows you to see more messages on the screen simultaneously. This is useful for quickly scanning through emails without much whitespace.
Cozy View: Opting for a cozy density provides a balanced view, allowing you to comfortably read messages without feeling overwhelmed.
Roomy View: The roomy density gives each message more space, making it ideal for focusing on individual emails or when you prefer a spacious layout.”
Focused Inbox:
A new feature that automatically sorts your emails into two tabs: Focused and Other.
“Focused” houses your more important emails.
“Other” is for the less important ones.
Interestingly, Outlook uses machine learning to analyze your email habits and prioritize your messages. It considers factors such as content of emails, interaction history, and behavior towards specific contacts. Outlook then categorizes messages that it determines as important or relevant into the Focused tab, while less critical ones are routed to ‘Other.’ Over time, as your behavior changes, Outlook learns and refines the categorization to better suit your preferences
Snooze Emails:
This feature allows you to temporarily remove an email from your inbox and have it reappear at a later date or time. When you snooze an email, it disappears from your inbox and is moved to a designated folder or section until its appointed time, then it reappears as a new message in your inbox. This is beneficial because:
It allows you to prioritize emails based on when you need to address them, rather than letting them clutter your inbox.
It is also beneficial for emails that require action but aren’t urgent, allowing you to focus on more pressing matters.”
Unified Experience:
You have the ability to create newsletters, storyline posts, presentations, and more in Outlook. This integration provides a unified experience and consolidation, which not only allows you to manage various communication channels seamlessly in Outlook, but also reduces the need to switch back and forth between separate apps. Users can access these features without leaving the email environment.
Draft Emails with Copilot:
Copilot allows you to draft an AI-generated email by simply inputting what you want to be included in your response. Once you generate your response, you have the option to keep, discard, or regenerate it if you want a better response.
Summarize Email with Copilot:
Copilot in Outlook provides a convenient way to summarize lengthy email threads. Here’s how you can use this feature:
Open the email thread that you want to summarize in Outlook.
Look for the ‘Summary by Copilot’ button at the top of the email thread.
Click on it, and Copilot will scan the thread to identify key points and create a summary for you.
The summary will appear at the top of the email and may also include numbered citations that link to corresponding emails within the thread.
Scheduling meetings with Copilot:
Scheduling a meeting with Copilot helps users manage their time and communication more efficiently. Copilot can assist users in scheduling meetings, allowing them to plan and organize their communication in advance. This can be particularly useful for coordinating with others and ensuring that meetings are scheduled at the most appropriate time.
In conclusion, Outlook’s recent enhancements have significantly elevated the user experience, offering a plethora of tools designed to streamline communication and organization. From customizable inbox display densities to the innovative Focused Inbox feature, users can tailor their email management to suit their preferences seamlessly. The ability to snooze emails empowers users to prioritize their tasks effectively, while integration with other apps fosters a unified and consolidated experience. Moreover, Copilot’s AI-driven functionalities, spanning from drafting emails to summarizing lengthy threads, further enhance productivity and efficiency within the Outlook ecosystem. With these comprehensive features at their disposal, users can navigate their digital communications with unparalleled ease and effectiveness, marking a significant step forward in optimizing email management and productivity workflows.

Azure Key Vault documentation | Microsoft Learn
“I have had the opportunity to explore the renewal of a code-signing certificate used to authenticate and digitally sign files containing executable code within a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflow. During the search for the most suitable certificate, I learned about a new requirement introduced by the CA/Browser Forum, mandating that all code-signing certificates are now provisioned on USB tokens or within an HSM server. After conducting some research, I opted for Azure Key Vault code-signing certificate!”

Copy files based on wild card file name; from SFTP to Blob storage – Azure Data Factory
I have followed the below steps, the pipeline runs fine, but the files are not moved:
created a new pipeline in Azure data factoryadded the ‘Copy and Move’ activitycreated source data set and linked service to connect SFTPcreated sink data set and linked service to connect blob storagein the source, i have chosen the wild card path and used the above regex in the wild card file name.
The pipeline runs successfully but it doesn’t move the matching files. In the SFTP server i have 3 csv files, but only two of those match the wild card. I was expecting to see those two in the storage container, but it wasn’t the case. I’m afraid the wild card pattern is wrong. Here is the sample file name: SCUST_TXT20240417-032938-891.CSV.
If i change the wildcard file name as: *.CSV, the pipeline moves all the three files to the destination (sink). So i assume it’s a problem with the wild card.

Purview Access Policy – Privacy reviewer
Hey all,
I am setting up access policies for data products under un PurView, and I expected to allocate a privacy reviewer, but this is not the case. There is only a checkbox showing that a compliance review is required.
Why is the privacy reviewer chosen by the data consumer in the request access form?
Does it mean that the consumer can choose whomever they see fit? Or is there a different place to set up the compliance reviewers?
Thanks,
Zoltan

Copilot nonprofit grant proposal/request/suggestion
Having recently attended Microsoft 365 Community Conference in Florida I came away with a far better understanding of how Copilot could be so useful in the nonprofit sector but that the cost is real block for nonprofits I deal with so wanted to share (partial) email I sent to try to spread the word a bit ..
“Whilst I’m pretty up on things in the 365 area, I did find the various (!) sessions on Copilot very useful to me in moving my somewhat sceptical pre-conference thoughts on AI/Copilot in general :face_with_rolling_eyes: to a realisation of just how useful this could be, especially with the Copilot for Microsoft 365 integration with tenant data, to all of course but especially to SMB’s and nonprofits that I deal with. It’s a fantastic new tool across the spectrum of 365 apps and with SMB’s and nonprofits having little if any internal IT resources to help, I believe it can prove to be of major benefit to them, providing the knowledge, data and reporting that traditionally they’d turn to IT folks for and that’s not counting the productivity and AI benefits outlined throughout the conference on top.
My wave of enthusiasm for Copilot is tempered however with the realisation of the significant cost of Copilot ($30 / month / user) as that even at the corporate level must be a tough call to justify but for SMB’s it’s vastly worse with their limited financial resources to try and come up with decent ROI details and for nonprofits, who I mainly now work with these days, it’s effectively impossible to consider, even to the extent that I doubt many will even get the chance to look at or use it at all!
Given that Microsoft do a great job with providing the various offers and grants for nonprofits currently (the two main nonprofits I work with currently benefit tremendously from the Business Basic licences across the board, the 10 user Business Premium grant and the Azure $2000 / annum amongst everything) so it would be so useful if say a 10 or even 5 user licence for Copilot could be provided on a grant basis (as with the Business Premium) so that nonprofits could at least get a chance to try Copilot with then perhaps a reduced price for them on a licence basis over and beyond the initial 5/10 grant ones.”
I don’t know what others think, especially Microsoft :), but does this strike a chord with anyone?
Thanks – Derek Papworth

Power query transformations to lookup dates from one table into the other
Hi @Sergei Baklan sir,
I have invoice detail table as below:
Also, I have EM – Misc Charge table that don’t have date column:
But these 2 tables have ‘DBName-Point_Id’ , ‘DBName-Id’ & ‘Charge’ as a common columns.
I need to find the dates for each rows of ‘EM – Misc Charge’ table from invoice detail table for their corresponding ‘DBName-Point_Id’ , ‘DBName-Id’ & charge using power query transformations(upstream).
I am struggling to achieve this. we had a idea of appending these tables but that would increase the number of rows as we have millions of rows in our original data. This may cause a performance issue.

XDR Deception
Hey,
I need some assistance with deploying an XDR deception rule. Here’s the situation:
I have created a deception rule with a specific tag, including 5 decoys and 2 lures. However, I’m encountering a problem with the deployment process. After 24 hours(deployment), I’m facing the following issues:
– The rule has been deployed to only one tagged host out of a total of 4 hosts.
– Only one decoy has been created out of the 5 decoys I configured.
I’ve tried looking into the settings and redoing everything from scratch, but the issues persist.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem or have any insights on how to resolve this? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

SharePoint Permissions for a SharePoint list
Hi, I’m having a problem with SharePoint permissions. I have a SharePoint list within a Teams SharePoint Site. I have setup a contribute group at site level with contribute permissions, but i cannot find how to add those permissions at the list level – could it really be true that anyone who needs to see all items in a list has to be an OWNER at site level? I have the list limited that users only read and edit items they have created. It seems even members who have edit access only see their own list items.
My worry is that a user within the department accidentally deletes a column or something, or gives someone permissions to confidential data.
thanks in advance!

I saw that MS say that the issue from ver 23 should be solved, and yes to some extent, but not fully it seems. Anyone can suggest solutions?
