Service account usage
‘ve been ach is installed on 3 iut 4 DCs and a large percentage sked by a customer to try and identify service accounts operating in their ADDS environment. I have access to both MDI and MDE.
Does anything in the Defender stack inventory the services on machines and retrieve which accounts are being used to launch them? I have a list of service accounts based on the clients naming convention but i strongly suspect that that list is incomplete.
Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I’ve spent this afternoon experimenting with KQL but not satisfied with th eoutcome.

Power Query Python (Openpyxl) Refresh on Open
I have an excel file that uses a power query connection. I have written a script in python using openpyxl to access that file, find any new data that has been added, and place that data into a different file.
My question is this: If I set the query properties to ‘Refresh data when opening the file’, will using openpyxl to access and ‘load’ the workbook trigger this refresh?
I am not sure how Excel defines the file being opened, because the script does not actually ‘open’ the file on my computer (like, I can’t see it open in my task bar), but I need the data to refresh every time the script runs.
Then, if openpyxl access does not trigger the refresh, how might I achieve something like that? Would Windows Task Scheduler opening the file manage to do that? Thanks for any help, and happy to provide some snippets of code if needed, although I think this is more of a question about Excel’s properties than it is about the actual code.

OneDrive Folder Sharing Problem
When I share a folder with someone else in OneDrive, OneDrive adds the folder I shared from the web as an “Add Shortcut to My Files” and the folder I shared opens as a normal folder on that person’s computer and syncs simultaneously. He can use it like a normal folder on his computer.
But I bought the Microsoft 365 family plan and shared it with 5 people, and now they can’t add the folders I shared to their files (the button doesn’t appear). The folders I used to share started to open on the web (turned into an internet shortcut) when clicked on, not as normal folders on their computers. Therefore, in order to open a word or excel file, they have to go to the web and download the file.
I asked Microsoft help about this issue, they say there is no folder synchronization in 365 Family subscription, they say there is in Business subscription. Business subscription is very expensive.
Now the strange thing is that the folder sharing feature that is in the free version is not in the family package that we pay for! So I will close the subscription.
Does anyone have any suggestions/solutions on this issue?

Random Crashing Issues
I recently built a new PC using all new components: an Asus Z790-P WiFi motherboard with an i9-12900K processor, 32GB Corsair DDR5 RAM, and a Crucial M.2 2TB SSD for the OS. The system runs on a fresh install of Windows 11. Despite having the latest Windows updates, BIOS, and drivers for all components, the PC randomly crashes or freezes either during or after boot.
I have performed multiple burn-in tests, all of which the system passes, but the crashes resume after a reboot. Additionally, I’ve run MEMTEST64 for over 20 passes without any failures. I even sent the motherboard for an RMA, but the manufacturer did not find any issues. I’m at a loss for what to do next. Any suggestions?

Populating columns with rows from another sheet
I have a Excel document with 2 tabs. The first one is a “partslist”. The second tab is automatically pulled from company data and refreshed weekly,”Facility”.(this cannot be edited in any way)
What I’m trying to do is have Fac ID column in the Facility tab automatically generate into the partslist table on the Partslist tab. We add facility all the time so manually adding wouldn’t be ideal.
Fac ID Column(Facility tab) -> Spareparts(tab) =generates a column in partslist table, that will automatically add a new column if a new Fac ID is added.

Restrict user from access of some folders in SharePoint library
Hi everybody!
I have a security group “all_site_users”, they can read and edit all documents the site.
At the onboarding process joins an user automatically this group.
There is another group “not_these_folder” with members, who are also in all_site_users.
I want to exclude the not_these_folder group from access of some folders in the document library. And I don’t want to change the membership of all_site_users.
How can I do this? I see only the restricted view permission, but so the users can read.

“Drafts” content type in Microsoft 365 portal?
In the midst of delivering an “Introduction to Microsoft 365” workshop yesterday, I noticed a new view in the “Quick access” section (see below) of the M365 portal/app. When I click on that view, I’m told “No drafts yet / Create a new raft to get started”. “Draft” is somewhat vague since several apps allow users to save things in a draft state (Outlook messages, SharePoint pages/news posts, etc.), so I’m not sure what’s supposed to be showing up there. For example, I know I have several draft emails and draft pages in a few SharePoint sites, but they aren’t appearing there. I suspect this may be part of/related to the new SharePoint start page experience which (I think?) will allow people to create “personal” pages (which will be stored in their OneDrive site collection, like “personal” lists).

Is there any way to make an office file (accessed by a button) open in the client app by default?
I was able to find a setting that if someone clicks a file from the documents section itself, it opens in the client app by default.
However, I have buttons to shortcut to certain files on my SharePoint homepage, and no matter what I try, I cannot get them to open in the client by default.
Is there a way to do this? Various google searches and searching here didn’t provide any fruitful results.
