Unified Security Operations Platform: Microsoft Defender XDR & Microsoft Sentinel
(Preview) Content distribution through tenant groups in multitenant management is now available. Content distribution helps you manage content at scale across tenants in multitenant management in Microsoft Defender XDR. In content distribution, you can create tenant groups to copy existing content, like custom detection rules, from the source tenant to the target tenants you assign during tenant group creation. The content then runs on the target tenant’s devices or device groups that you set in the tenant group scope. Learn more in our documentation.
(Preview) You can now filter your Defender for Cloud alerts by the associated alert subscription ID in the Incidents and Alerts queues. For more information, see Defender for Cloud in Defender XDR.

Unable to choose option for Choice function when using Conditional Formatting
I am trying to colour code a SharePoint List Calendar view so that the items displayed on the calendar will be different colours depending on the item chosen in the “Region” column, which is a choice function. However, when I try to choose one of the options, the “choose or type a value” field is greyed out and will not allow me to click on it.
The function works on the default list view but not on the calendar view. On the default list view, I have colour-coded the Title items so that they change colour depending on the Region selected, and would like the same to be reflected on the calendar, but am not allowed to make the same changes on the Calendar view conditional formatting window.
Any assistance would be appreciated!

Can I receive incoming phone calls on my PC without using a mobile?
I’m a bit old-fashioned, and don’t have a mobile. No problem, I’m home most of the day.
Although I use the house landline, sometimes it’s busy, and it would be convenient to be able to make and receive calls on my PC, without needing to use the landline.
Anyone know if this is possible? I’ve seen loads of companies offering virtual numbers, but they all seem to route incoming calls to your mobile. I would like to have them routed directly to my PC instead,
presumably using some software (I guess a Skype-type thing).

Surface Pro 9 Arm Application support issues
Surface Pro with ARM processer is not supported by many 3p apps it seems. recently i noticed that trellix DLP agent is not getting installed. and offcial site also confirmed that they are not supporting. this is one of the case. as we use along, we might get more supportably issues.
Wanted to check if any option to install such apps which are not directly supported with arm processer.

Remove the “All” tab when clicking the Smily icon
Recently, there is an “all” tab, when I click on the smily icon, which only shows 6 emojis (and they are not my recent/most used) and below it, there are GIFs and stickers. 99.9% when I click on this icon, I want to add an emoji, so with the new setting, I need one more click each time to get to them.
I understand, that bundling emojis, GIFs and stickers into one icon cleans up the menu bar – but the “all” tab is unnecessary. The default should be the “emoji” tab – or at least make is customisable, so users can choose their default tab.

Windows Explorer in Windows 11
Just recently switched to Win 11 Pro from Win 10 Pro and I have a problem.
Under windows 10 if I opened file explorer I could get it to always open in full screen mode (by selecting run maximized on the short cut), however, I can not get windows 11 explorer to do the same.
I have tried select run maximize, opening explorer the full screen it, then closing and reopening , but still to no change.
I have tried all the suggestion for doing so and have found plenty that I have got to work with Windows 8 & 10 but none worked with Windows 11.
Has anyone found one that does. If so please let me known how you did it.

Images/Charts Formatting – Move with cells –> Move with Columns / Move with Rows
Hey everyone,
We have the ‘Move with cells‘ feature in the Size & Properties of an image or chart, but I am thinking of something more specific than ‘cells‘. I was wondering if Excel could have an option like ‘Move with columns only‘ or ‘Move with rows only‘?
My current use case is that I would like images/charts to move with columns (e.g., if I hide columns) but not with rows (e.g., if I have a filter on a table next to a chart).
Hope that makes sense 🙂
Thank you!

Windows 11 New Feature Recall help
Windows Recall takes screenshots of your screen every 5 secs as well as keylogging entries too. How do you disable this crazy mad feature in Windows 11 Pro?
Lastly what is the point of customising your Windows 11 computer like enabling/disabling win 11 setting like for example disabling Ads personalisation then for only in the future for Windows updates to enable what you disabled and to disabled what you enabled discreetly without you knowing taking you back to square 1 like a fresh install of windows all over again to settings like Microsoft likes?
How you stop this vicious cycle and make sure your customisation is unchanged even after Windows updates?

Files not located where Windows Explorer says they are
I have a folder with 50-ish photos. If you right-click on any of them in Windows Explorer and then select Properties, it lists the file location as a folder that doesn’t seem to exist. If you right-click again on the file again and then select Open File Location, it opens the folder where they actually reside. Puzzling.
FWIW, I found these photos yesterday in a folder that I’d apparently named “Needs Action”. There were the only contents of that folder. I created the folder where they now reside and moved them to it. I then deleted the “Needs Action” folder. And no, the location that Windows Explorer lists as the file location is not “Needs Action”, it’s yet another folder (not the one I created yesterday) with a name that is completely consistent with my naming convention for saving photos. But, like I said above, that folder doesn’t appear to exist.
I haven’t rebooted since all this started. I suppose it’s possible that might resolve things, but I’m holding off a bit.

Microsoft Defender for Endpoint P2 for EDU licenses

Thanks

How to offset the position of a multilevel list number to the top left?
I would like to replicate a chapter title heading style in a thesis that I am writing that is similar to a document written in “LaTeX” that looks like so:
I want to create a multilevel list with the top level heading having a style like the one in the screenshot (where the list number is floating to the top left with light gray background) and the rest of the list if in the 1.1, 1.1.1, etc.
Can this be done in word?

How to Merge Audio Files into One without Losing Quality on a Computer?
Is there any straightforward way to merge audio files into a single file? I’ve got several audio tracks in different formats (MP3, WAV, FLAC, etc.), and I want to combine them without losing any quality. I’ve tried a few online tools, but they either limit the file size or reduce the audio quality.
Could anyone recommend a reliable method or software that can merge audio files efficiently? Ideally, something that’s easy to use and supports batch processing would be perfect.
Thank you

How to disable automatic BitLocker implementation when using Autopilot OOBE experience to join a dev
Hello,
At my company, our workstations are not joined to the domain and are managed by Workspace ONE. I would like to join these workstations to Entra ID to use Microsoft accounts to authenticate. However, I will also be using Autopilot to have the OOBE and join the workstations directly. Workspace ONE will be added as an MDM to Entra ID and deployed when provisioning the PCs.
I noticed that BitLocker will be enabled automatically, and the recovery keys will be synced to Entra ID. In my case, I want Workspace ONE to manage the BitLocker keys. How can I disable BitLocker so that when joining the workstations to Entra ID, Workspace ONE will be downloaded and will manage the keys?
Thank you.

How do I get Microsoft to Stop Asking Me to Sign In
Attached photo shows annoying banner that Microsoft keeps popping up in my Settings Home Page. I can close it but it comes back regularly. As long as there isn’t a necessity to log into Windows using my Microsoft Account I want to keep using my Local Account. However, I don’t see an option to get Microsoft to stop asking me. I did a search in the forums and didn’t see anything…I probably just entered the wrong keywords. If it exists, can someone point me towards tutorial on how to hide/remove this annoyance? Thanks.
