Creating Reusable Teams Meeting
Hi there,
We are a psychology practice and are hoping to make the shift from Zoom to Teams for enhanced security and streamlining of software.
In Zoom there is the option to create a personal meeting room with a link that can be reused again and again. I understand Teams does not have this capability, but if we were to create a meeting that ran for an extended time (say 6 months) where we can reuse the link, are there any issues or limitations with this? Is there a cap on how long meetings can go for? And will the link remain the same? We need the link to stay the same for use with our practice management software
Also, is there a way for a guest to be ‘kicked out’ of a meeting once the organiser leaves?
Also also, if someone joins the meeting and is in the lobby, is there a way for only the organiser to be made aware of this?
Thank you very much in advance!!!

Jelly Roll Weight Loss [UPDATED 2024] Jelly Roll Reveals Your Weight Loss Journey
Jelly Roll is inspiring others through his own accomplishments.
Currently on a weight loss journey, the 39-year-old country star — whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord — is expressing how pleased he is after completing his first 5k run on Tuesday, where just months ago, he admitted to barely being able to walk a mile.
Now, he’s even more proud at completing the 2 Bears 5k event at the Rose Bowl Stadium in California, which was hosted by “2 Bears 1 Cave” podcast hosts Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer as part of the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival.
“I couldn’t walk a mile when I started trying to do this back in January,” the “motivated” Grammy nominee told Entertainment Tonight. “So the fact that we got 3-point-whatever it was, got it down, I felt really, really good about it.”
“I feel great, I’m a little tired. It was a little bit harder than I thought it was [going to be], but it’s awesome, man.”The major feat has made the country crooner set an even larger goal – to complete a half marathon next year.“Next year, a half marathon! We’re saying it now, absolutely!” he added.
While training for the big event, the “Son of a Sinner” singer revealed that he lost a massive amount of weight, where he shared it was “like 50 to 70-something pounds.”
Conquering the goal, the country star shared how thrilled he is to know that his training inspires others.
“I think the coolest thing is how many people stopped to tell us that they were motivated by us, other big guys. It was just really cool to see that,” he said.

Video Transcript:
-Your data is the primary target in most security incidents, but when an incident occurs, do you have the information you need to prioritize incidents and contain them based on the importance of the data itself?
-Well, this hasn’t been an easy problem to solve for, which is why we are making this easier with the fusion of Microsoft Defender XDR to detect and respond to security incidents with signals infused from Microsoft Purview for the identification and protection of your sensitive data.
-This native integration first helps you to quickly prioritize active incidents, based on the importance of compromised data, and display that detail in context, as you investigate and contain threats in Microsoft Defender. Let me show you an example from Microsoft Defender of how these natively integrated solutions work in action.
-Here in the Incidents view, I’ll dig into this high severity multi-stage incident involving initial access and data exfiltration. One of the best ways to follow a multi-stage attack is by using the Attack Story timeline on the left.
-And here we can see from these first couple of email alerts that Megan Bowen was phished and most likely her Contoso credentials were stolen by an external attacker. Importantly, here the integrated signal from Microsoft Purview has triggered multiple data loss prevention, or DLP, alerts for sharing payment cards, then a few PowerPoint presentations. You might notice that this attack spans over a couple of days, and these actions therefore could be considered normal use for Megan. Let’s dig into this DLP alert.
-We can see that the attacker is actually using Megan’s credentials to access her managed Cloud PC in Windows 365 to remain undetected. And you can see that a ZIP file was uploaded to a personal cloud storage location. And there’s even more to it.
-If I head over to the details on the right, and scroll all the way down to the bottom, the incident has been flagged with high insider risk severity. And by the way, on the back end in Microsoft Purview, Megan’s insider risk level is now elevated, but more on that in a second.
-This is important because, if you’re new to Insider Risk Management in Microsoft Purview, this can be set up to flag potentially risky activities either by users inside your organization, or, as in the case of persistent attacks where someone’s identity may have been hijacked, it can flag a sequence of potentially risky activities that may lead to a data security incident. I’ll show you the controls for setting that up in a moment.
-For now, still in Microsoft Defender, let’s drill into Megan’s insider risk activity summary And we can see the story unfold. The user utilizing Megan’s credentials began by downgrading labels in files on a SharePoint site. This is interesting because it shows one of the techniques the attacker is using to stay under the radar and out of sight.
-For example, a file might be labeled as Confidential and manually downgraded to General to bypass the protections scoped to Confidential files. In fact, going back to the Activity timeline view in Defender, we can see, files were then downloaded to a managed device, which, in our case, is the Windows 365 Cloud PC. These sensitive files were zipped and then uploaded onto personal cloud storage outside of our management boundary.
-And because on the back end Megan’s insider risk level is elevated, and based on configured protections, further activities are now blocked outright. So, I’ve shown how the fusion between Microsoft Defender XDR and the data security solutions in Microsoft Purview automatically contained the attack while providing full visibility into the sensitive data involved in the incident.
-Now let me show you how sensitive data signals and their protections from Microsoft Purview are established, so that they can be surfaced in Microsoft Defender XDR. If you’re new to this, it all starts with setting up your data security foundation in Microsoft Purview. Here labels and classifications for your data can be configured in the Microsoft Purview portal.
-I have labels defined for everything from personal to highly confidential information Protection policies can then be automatically triggered and enforced based on these labels and more than 300 sensitive information types, spanning account numbers, addresses, ID numbers, and more.
-Additionally, these policies can also leverage automatic file classifications, which leverage AI to determine the type of content within the files, like source code, financial information, healthcare, legal files, and others.
-In fact, the policies you set in Microsoft Purview can be enforced on your managed devices, while using Microsoft 365 apps, even third-party apps like Adobe Acrobat for PDFs, and as you work with files in the browser. And with everything set up, the signals derived from policy matches will flow directly into Microsoft Defender.
-And by the way, to learn more about data security and your options, we’ve created an entire playlist with deep dives at aka.ms/datasecuritymechanics. Now let’s look at what made it possible to trigger the protections based on Megan’s elevated insider risk level. This was made possible by a capability in Microsoft Purview, known as Adaptive Protection, where protections automatically adapt according to a user’s changing risk profile, based on signals from Insider Risk Management, which are assessed in real-time.
-To set up Adaptive Protection, you will establish the thresholds at each risk level. For example, you have a threshold that you can establish for minor risk, another for moderate risk, and, finally, elevated risk. These thresholds align with the risk indicators you define. And there are dozens that you can choose from, and you can also create custom ones.
-For example, when the attacker downgraded the file labels to make them appear less sensitive, this is the risk indicator that was triggered. In fact, there are many risk indicators that you can define as part of Insider Risk Management policies for assessing risky behavior. These even include machine learning-based comparisons of a user’s activity versus their peers to flag any unusual behaviors.
-And as risky activities meet your defined threshold levels, the protections can adapt with DLP policy enforcement or with Conditional Access controls. For example, access was blocked to resources once Megan’s insider risk level shifted to elevated.
-What made this possible is a new Insider Risk condition in Microsoft Entra Conditional Access, which checks insider risk level in real time during authentication. This policy will apply to any user with elevated insider risk. And if it finds a match, like in our case, under Grant, it’s been configured to block access to corporate resources.
-So, even though we haven’t yet reset Megan’s credentials, if the attacker tries to use them, they’ll get this message and be blocked. Importantly, the policy protections you set and its corresponding signal from Microsoft Purview flows directly into Microsoft Defender XDR to help you assess the value of compromised data and even contain attacks using Conditional Access controls.

Very important questions BEFORE I install full version of Windows 11 Enterprise
The ONLY way I will consider going to Windows 11 is the Enterprise Edition (64-bit ISO). I have some questions. I use Steam for games. Furthermore, I use Office 365. Will both those programs, games, my nVidia RTX graphics card work as normal, just like in Windows 10 Pro and 11 Pro??? And eventually I may want to use a local account only. But I know if I install and use Office 365 I will have to sign in to download and install or check my account profile, payments, etc.

full list of M365 Copilot training and badges
Does a list of M365 Copilot training courses and badges exist?
Ideally, this would include learning goals for each course, and release/maintenance plans (inc. how often the quiz will update).
I want to understand if we can use MS Copilot badges for a genAI certification project I’m working on.
Thanks!

How do I disable notification center while using MHS until user enters session?
We are currently using Managed Home Screen for some android devices that are basically being used as office phones. We want them to be pretty locked down until a frontline worker needs to make calls, so we are having everyone log in to use the app. We want the users to be able to see and respond to notifications (texts and calls using a third-party VOIP app). We also want calls to come in whether or not someone is signed in. The issue comes in with the texting. When someone texts in the notification appears in the notification center when nobody is logged in and actually opens the full app. So someone could pick up the phone and bypass logging in if there is a notification in the notification center.
How do we disable the notification center until a user logs in without losing incoming call functionality? I understand some of the onus is probably on the app developers, but it would also behave exactly how we want if we could just keep the notification center from opening until a session starts.
Any ideas?

Custom Scripting for Solution Gallery
Hi all,
I am learning some of the technical side of SharePoint and have a quick question. If I were to create a new site and wanted to upload a custom file as the template for the new site, would I need to have custom scripting enabled for the whole tenant?
My understanding is that it would be good to have it on in case any custom features would cause errors if turned off. I would be going through the solution gallery to upload this file.
Thank you for your help.

Ridiculously large driver install
Been on a skype call with my mum today because her C: drive was full, and we were trying to free up some space. During the usual DiskCleanups etc. we came across this.
The driver seems to be inconsequential, might have been something my Dad put there, maybe connected to mum’s original record player she got to hook up to the computer, I don’t know.
While it seems removing the driver will be fine, the reported size is giving me pause; how do I find out how a simple driver is taking up 41.2GB, yes GB, not MB, on the C drive. That’s more than a Witcher 3 install and half of Cyberpunk 2077 for a driver! So I want to make sure it’s not going to take a chunk of my mums data with it when it’s removed.
Best way to figure this out?

Hello,
My understanding was that Copilot for Microsoft 365 Customers can create their own custom copilots.
I created a Copilot using Copilot StudioInside Copilot Studio, when I go to “Channels”, I choose “Microsoft Copilot” as the Channel and click “Go to Publish”That takes me to the Publish page from where I completed the PublishShown a Message indicating Publish was successful
But where would an end user go to actually use this Custom Copilot??
Right now I only know how to use it inside Copilot Studio (which is obviously not very useful).
I know exactly how to use a CustomGPT I create in ChatGPT. This is similar, but I can’t figure it out for Copilot. Please help.

Managing Fabric Data Pipelines: a step-by-step guide to source control and deployment
Introduction.
In the post Microsoft Fabric: Integration with ADO Repos and Deployment Pipelines – A Power BI Case Study. we have outlined key best practices for utilizing the seamless integration between Fabric and GIT via Azure DevOps repositories and the use of Fabric Deployment Pipelines, both features intended to improve collaborative development and agile application publishing in the Azure cloud.
Quality and value delivery of any data analysis application depends on the quality of the data that we manage to package, from the greatest quantity and diversity of reliable and truthful data sources.
Fabric Data Pipelines serve as the backbone of data integration and orchestration, allowing organizations to streamline the flow of data across disparate systems, applications, and services.
By moving and manipulating data, Fabric Data Pipelines help ensure data consistency, accuracy, and timeliness, ultimately supporting informed decision-making and driving business value.
In this post we first delve into the integration of Fabric Data Pipelines and Azure DevOps Repos, aimed at improving collaborative development and source code control. Finally, we address the key benefits of using Fabric’s content-based strategy for continuous deployment to recommend including data pipelines as part of the content to be deployed and shared.
The role of Data Pipelines in Fabric.
Figure 1 briefly shows the stages for obtaining a data analytics solution.
Figure 1. Fabric Data Pipelines are a way to ingest and transform data into a Fabric solution.
There are many options in Fabric for data ingestion and transformations before building the semantic model of a Report or Lakehouse:
To date, Fabric lists the following as items that may be subject to source code control: [Overview of Fabric Git integration – Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn]
Data pipelines Lakehouse Notebooks Paginated reports Reports (except reports connected to semantic models hosted in Azure Analysis Services, SQL Server Analysis Services or reports exported by Power BI Desktop that depend on semantic models hosted in MyWorkspace) Semantic models (except push datasets, live connections, model v1, and semantic models created from the Data warehouse/lakehouse.)
The primary goal of a Data Pipeline, as an effective way to ingest data in Fabric, is to facilitate the efficient and reliable movement of data from various sources to designated destinations, while also enabling transformations and processing tasks along the way.
Why use source control for Fabric Data Pipelines?
It’s well known that data pipelines sometimes need to handle incremental/update logic by developers. And sometimes they need to recover a previous version to fix errors or maybe with the purpose of reusability.
Implementing source control for Fabric Data Pipelines is essential in modern software development practices. Source control, also known as version control, is a foundational aspect of collaborative software development, providing a systematic approach to managing changes to code and configurations throughout the development lifecycle. In the context of Fabric Data Pipelines, which play a crucial role in orchestrating data workflows and transformations, integrating source control becomes paramount for ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and reliability in data processing pipelines.
Source control is essential for managing Fabric’s data pipelines for several reasons:
It allows you to keep track of changes, revert to previous versions, and understand the evolution of your data pipeline over time. Multiple team members can work on different parts of the pipeline simultaneously without overwriting each other’s work. Ensures that any data analysis or transformation can be reproduced, which is critical for debugging and auditing purposes. In case of personnel changes, source control provides continuity, allowing new team members to understand the pipeline’s history and current state.
Next, we show A step-by-step guide to use source control and version management for a Data Pipeline in Fabric.
1. Integrate your workspace with GIT, according to [Microsoft Fabric: Integration with ADO Repos and Deployment Pipelines – A Power BI Case Study.], [Overview of Fabric Git integration – Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn]
2. Create a data pipeline in your workspace. To create a new data pipeline in Fabric you can refer to [Module 1 – Create a pipeline with Data Factory – Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn], [Activity overview – Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn].
Figure 2 shows three pipelines created in a workspace named Workspace Dev 1 and the Workspace’s Settings for the integration with an ADO repository (more details at Microsoft Fabric: Integration with ADO Repos and Deployment Pipelines – A Power BI Case Study. – Microsoft Community Hub)
Figure 2. Workspace integrated with GIT via an ADO Repo of a project.
3. Sync content with the ADO Repo.
The next figure shows all content synced after committing changes from Fabric UI.
If you add new data pipelines or update the content of some of them, this item is marked as “Uncommitted”. Every time you want to sync, select the “Source Control” button and commit the changes.
You will see in the repo in ADO the three pipelines created in Workspace Dev1.
To retrieve a pipeline version in the repo in ADO, you must select the committing line in Azure DevOps/Repos/Commits and then, Browse files.
Another way to retrieve the content of the pipeline is going to Azure DevOps/Repos/Files and download the .zip file to obtain the code in JSON format.
How to update an existing pipeline.
4. From this point, you can return to a previous version of a data pipeline.
To return to a previous version of a data pipeline in Microsoft Fabric, you can use the Update pipeline option: [How to monitor pipeline runs – Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn] Here we are listing the steps to follow and then we will show them with images.
– Navigate to your workspace and hover over your pipeline, click on the three dots to the right of your pipeline name to bring up a list of options, and Select View run history to see all your recent runs and their statuses.
The following picture illustrates the recent run history of a data pipeline.
Select “Go to Monitoring hub” produces the following:
Select “Back to Main View” shows all items that have already been run:
Open the pipeline to fix:
And then, Update pipeline.
– Here, you can select Update pipeline to make changes to your pipeline from this screen. This selection will take you back to the pipeline canvas for edition, where you can change any mapping, delete activities and so on. You can save it, validate and run it again.
Another way is updating the json code.
You can update the json code here:
– When selecting this button, you can change the pipeline’s code from the code obtained in Azure DevOps/Repos/Files.
Deployment of data pipelines.
You can define a deployment pipeline in the workspace that contains the most recent and updated items and deploy all of them to the TEST Workspace. If you want to learn more about Fabric Deployment Pipelines refer to Microsoft Fabric: Integration with ADO Repos and Deployment Pipelines – A Power BI Case Study.
You can add Data pipelines in any workspace you want in Fabric. Common data pipeline code can go a long way to ensuring reproducible results in your analysis.
Therefore, this type of content can be used in a deployment pipeline.
Sharing a data pipeline code between a DEV WORKSPACE and a TEST WORSPACE greatly reduces the potential for errors, by helping to guarantee that the transformed data used for model training is the same as the transformed data the models will use in production.
A good practice mentioned in Best practices for lifecycle management in Fabric – Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn is to use different databases in each stage. That is, build separate databases for development and testing to protect production data and not overload the development database with the entire volume of production data.
For now, data pipelines are not supported to be managed by deployment parameter rules. You can learn more about Deployment Rules in Create deployment rules for Fabric’s Application lifecycle management (ALM) – Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn.
However, you can edit the pipeline inside the Test Workspace to change the source (as long as it has the same data structure or file format), run the edited pipeline and refresh data to obtain the desired results. Proceed similarly with the deployed data pipeline inside the Production Workspace: edit it, run and refresh data.
Next figure shows data source and destination to be configured in a data pipeline.
Summary
Fabric Data Pipelines serve as the backbone of data integration and orchestration. Source control is essential for managing Fabric’s data pipelines for several reasons, among the most significant are being able to access previous versions for reusability purposes or recovering from errors, being able to share code between developers and knowing the evolution of the data pipeline.
We have provided a step-by-step guide to include data pipelines into source control by means of Fabric-GIT integration, describing how to retrieve a specific data pipeline code from commit’s history, and updating the data pipeline inside Fabric.
Data Pipelines must be considered in the content to be shared in the Deployment Pipelines, due to the need to ensure data consistency and security from development stages to production.

Renaming files in a directory using file names in excel.
I created a excel file named “New_file_names.xlsx” and “New_file_names.csv”
Both files have the same content in column 1 and the information starts at A1 sheet1
They are in J:temp directory. The file has file names.
In directory J:temp2 they are files that I would like to rename using the information from the excel file without changing the file extensions.
After they are renamed I would like to store them in directory J;temp3.
I have a script but is giving me errors I am including it
Any help will be much appreciated.
