Azure AI for Organization data. How to refer to the file names in prompts to get response
Hi
I went through Azure AI documentation to come up with ChatGPT like feature using Azure AI services for my data set.
I have created Azure Storage account and container to store my files. Created the deployment with GPT3.5 turbo model. Linked the container as source.
I could able to get the response for the prompts.
However, I would like to be more precise to get the answers from a given file uploaded, instead of referring to all the files.
I tried prompts like–
‘Refer to “abc.txt”, and generate the summary’,
‘Consider file with name “abc.txt”, get me the entities from this file’.
Unfortunately, I dont get the relevant response. I see model is not able to identify my reference file in the prompt.
Can you tell me how to ask or refer a file to get responses from that file in the prompt.
Do I need to use fields in indexe. I used fields “title” and “filepath” that gets generated automatically. Still no luck.
Can you help me here please.

Multiple hierarchies in pivot table rows but showing in separate columns
Hello,
we are trying to find a solution for the following problem statement using hierarchies in Excel Pivot Tables. I hope the excel community can help with solutions or suggestions.
Problem Statement:
Challenge arise while using multiple hierarchies in Pivot Tables from PBI Semantic Model. Please consider below scenario for complete understanding.
Scenario:
Following are the two dimensions with the hierarchies for both.
GL AccountCost Center
Expectation:
Once the GL Account Hierarchy & Cost Center Hierarchy are dragged and dropped into the rows section of the pivot table fields, GL Account and Cost Center are nested within the same column A. Please refer to below screenshot where it puts both of them in one column.
We might switch to the tabular option, but that doesn’t completely fix the problem because it adds more columns based on the levels of the leaf nodes. It becomes more difficult to use the spreadsheet for analysis with so many columns. In fact, there are certain cases where Cost Centers have 7 hierarchy nodes.
The ideal solution is shown in the screenshot below, coming from another reporting tool:
Do you think a similar layout can be developed in a Excel Pivot table? Where separate hierarchies unfold in independently in separate columns?
Please if you need clarifications or extra info to understand better, feel free to post and I will update.
Thanks in advance.

Export to Excel Removes Spaces Before Links
I have exported a List from SharePoint to Excel. The list is a glossary of terms and the terms link to other terms in the list.
In the exported spreadsheet, there isn’t a space between words when the second word is a linked word. For example, if the sentence says: “A new software package” and “software” has a link, the spreadsheet has it as: “A newsoftware package.”
I have 800+ items in this glossary and hundreds of links, so I am editing every single item manually in the spreadsheet to add the spaces between the words. I am not looking forward to having to do all of this manual work each time I export!
Anyone have any ideas how I can change/fix this so it doesn’t happen in the first place – or an easier way to fix them in the spreadsheet?

Introducing the section backgrounds in SharePoint Pages and News
We are excited to share that we’re updating the section background feature in SharePoint Pages and News. With this feature, we’re enabling authors to create beautiful pages with featured sections.
SharePoint now lets you add an image or gradient color to the page sections from a new set of options. And lets you personalize the sections backgrounds with your own images.
A see-through overlay has been automatically added to make the text easier to read when you set an image or gradient color as section background.
We’ve added more settings like Fill mode, Overlay color, Overlay opacity to help you do more customization, and follow accessibility best practices and ensure that the.
Tip! How to create a smooth border between two sections in View mode: For the upper section (sky), choose Dark Gradient Overlay – Bottom to top – Set Opacity to 100; For the lower section (lake), pick Dark Gradient Overlay – Top to bottom – Set Opacity to 100.
We’ve enhanced the focal point setting experience. You will be able to set it when Fill mode of background is “Scale to fill”.
New experience to preview to see how the focal point affects the way your readers view your image across different screen sizes and aspect ratios.
Features and capabilities, mentioned in this blog post, are demonstrated in the following video with Yi Han (Microsoft) & Vesa Juvonen (Microsoft)

Vulnerability Assessment with Defender for Servers, Powered by Defender Vulnerability Management
Microsoft Defender for Cloud is a comprehensive multicloud application protection platform (CNAPP) meticulously designed to safeguard your cloud-based applications from every angle, covering the entire journey from code to cloud. A pivotal aspect of cloud security involves the continuous monitoring and management of emerging vulnerabilities across your cloud workloads. By implementing strong vulnerability management practices, organizations can enhance their security posture, minimize the attack surface, and reinforce defenses against potential security breaches.
We’re excited to share that starting May 1st, we are introducing unified vulnerability assessment, and as a part of this Defender for Cloud will now exclusively offer Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management as its primary scanner across servers and containers, as we shared in our previous recent blogs (1, 2). This strategic transition equips security administrators with access to Microsoft’s unparalleled threat intelligence, advanced breach likelihood predictions. This integration offers security administrators a centralized vulnerability scanner, serving as a unified engine for all workloads spanning cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. This enables a seamless and precise risk assessment process. Equipped with these functionalities, security teams can proficiently detect, evaluate, prioritize, and address vulnerabilities, effectively overseeing an extended attack surface and strengthening the overall posture against cloud risks.
Why Defender Vulnerability Management?
Consistency: Defender Vulnerability Management offers a unified scanner tool for your environment, including containers and virtual machines, ensuring consistent and reliable outcomes across different platforms and technologies while simplifying security management.
Efficiency: It saves time and resources by avoiding duplication, automating tasks, and allowing a better integration with other security processes, leading to faster response times and better prioritization of remediation efforts.
Cost-Effective: With Defender Vulnerability Management, there’s no additional license requirement, making it a cost-effective choice for organizations of all sizes. To learn more, you can explore our Defender for Server plans, which include both premium and regular options. Each plan offers this scanner with varying capabilities.
Seamless Integration: Unlike traditional solutions, Defender Vulnerability Management offers seamless integration without the need for agent installations. You can decide whether to use an agent or not, depending on what suits your needs best. If you’re considering an agent-based solution, this capability is provided via Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) so all value is in a unified agent. Therefore, there’s no need to deploy an additional agent if MDE is already in use.
Coverage- With Defender Vulnerability Management, you gain access to a vast repository of CVEs sourced from over 30 reliable security bulletins, including NIST-NVD, IBM X-Force, Red Hat and more. Benefit from comprehensive coverage of OS platforms and application vulnerabilities across Windows and Linux environments.
Rich Metadata: Defender Vulnerability Management goes beyond conventional vulnerability assessment by providing AI-powered descriptions, fix information, and insights into exploits in the wild. Equip yourself with practical recommendations to enhance your defense against evolving threats. With this info you can prioritize vulnerability remediation based on contextual risk analysis, considering factors like exposure and data sensitivity, to ensure effective risk mitigation.
Compliance: It assists organizations in meeting cybersecurity standards and regulations, demonstrating accountability to stakeholders like customers, partners, and regulators. (such as SBOM info, security baselines, etc.).
Next Steps
Whether you have used the built-in Qualys scanner previously or are new to our vulnerability assessment solution, you can make sure you are using Defender Vulnerability Management as your VA provider. Follow these steps if you use Defender CSPM or Defender for Server plans:
Navigate to Microsoft Defender for Cloud > Environment settings
If you use Defender CSPM or Defender for Servers P2, ensure Agentless scanning setting is enabled
Defender for Server users (either P1 or P2) are eligible for Defender for Endpoint via Endpoint protection setting. Machines with Defender for Endpoint will be covered by Defender Vulnerability Management.
Enable the vulnerability scanning with Defender Vulnerability scanning with the following explanations (Enable vulnerability scanning with Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-cloud/auto-deploy-vulnerability-assessment )
Remove the old vulnerability assessment solution
you still have the Qualys agent installed, feel free to remove it as it’s no longer necessary. However, leaving it in place won’t impact on your new results. Once you’ve migrated to the built-in Defender Vulnerability Management solution in Defender for Cloud, ensure to offboard each VM from their old vulnerability assessment solution. You can accomplish this by using the Remove-AzVMExtension PowerShell cmdlet or a REST API Delete request to delete the VM.
You can track your transition efforts using this workbook.

Can I Open OST file in Outlook?
There are two ways to convert OST files to Outlook format.
Manual Method:
The manual process involves creating a new PST file and copying the contents of the OST file into it. First, you need to export the contents of the OST file to a CSV or other format using Outlook or another email client. Then, you import the contents into a new PST file. However, this method is not recommended due to its complexity and potential for data loss.
Alternatively, you can also open OST file in Outlook using an automated solution. I recommend using Advik OST to PST Converter Software for this purpose. You can easily convert any size OST file to an Outlook PST file using this tool. It is compatible with all versions of Microsoft Outlook. You can try out this software by downloading the trial version.

Email rule not working with exempt condition
Hi all,
I’ve configured a rule to redirect emails originating from a specific external user, “email address removed for privacy reasons,” to two specific users within our organization: “email address removed for privacy reasons” and “email address removed for privacy reasons.” However, if the email is addressed to “email address removed for privacy reasons,” it should bypass this redirection rule. Unfortunately, this exemption isn’t functioning as intended, and the email is still being redirected to “email address removed for privacy reasons” and “email address removed for privacy reasons.”
Here is the screenshot :
Is there a way to resolve this and get it working as intended?

Passthru my RTX 2080 ti from FreeBSD to a Windows 11 vm (it generates a resource conflict)
Hello to everyone.
What I would like to understand if why, when I try to passthru my RTX 2080 ti from FreeBSD to Windows 11,it won’t do it,causing the error 12. It says that it generates a resource conflict and requires additional installation).
I’m trying to debug the error. Below you see the IOMMU group of my Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 ti passed in a Windows 11 / bhyve VM and of Windows 11 installed physically. I’m not able to understand if there are inconsistencies.
VM :
Group: 4.39.0.0 – Device: NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) (Device ID: ROOTUNNAMED_DEVICE000)
Group: 1.46.831.832 – Device: NVIDIA USB Type-C Port Policy Controller (Device ID: PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_1AD7&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A13&61AAA01&0&4B)

As an experiment I’ve passed only this device from FreeBSD to WIndows 11 :
I have excluded “2/0/1 ; 2/0/2 ; 2/0/3”. I want to show you what means these addresses :

this error :
The error is caused by this parameter :
I have excluded it and Windows 11 booted. Now,inside it I still see the error 12 :
The device PCIVEN_10DE&DEV_1E04&SUBSYS_250319DA&REV_A13&61aaa01&0&48 generates a resource conflict and requires additional installation.
If I pass to the vm only -s 9:0,passthru,2/0/0 ; it does not work anyway, because AFAIK,MAYBE there is one and only IOMMU group,so I should pass everything ? But if I pass everything, the error 12 is there anyway.
I would like to understand if there is a problem with the IOMMU thing,if there is maybe there is the needing to develop a patch like this one : GitHub – benbaker76/linux-acs-override for FreeBSD.
For an experienced developer should not be so hard to understand which devices conflict. I want to ask some help to understand how to debug the error. If we will be able to understand which devices conflict, maybe I can explain this to the bhyve developer with which I’m in contact and he can develop a patch. So,we will be able to use every modern nvidia gpus inside a Windows VM with bhyve under FreeBSD ! That’s a nice goal, isn’t it ? So,please ask me more informations that you need to understand the origin of the error.
Windows Build/Version10.0.22000.2538

Tools in Teams AI Library
Hello Team,
In LLM we use tools like DynamicTool, DynamicStructuredTool to determine when to call which function and with what parameters. How to do the same using Teams AI Library?
My Use Case:
I want to find the intent from the user query and based on that intent further call the respective function/tool to perform respective action. How can I achieve this using Teams AI Library?
I went through the samples mentioned here:
https://github.com/microsoft/teams-ai/blob/main/js/samples/04.ai-apps/
but couldn’t find anything similar.
