Taskbar and home screen sometimes disappearing after closing file explorer
Sometimes, when I am done using file explorer, I close out of it, or if its froze up I use task manager to close it, sometimes when I do that my taskbar and home screen disappear and turn into a black screen, I can still use it and anything thats open will still run, but I cannot use shortcuts on desktop home screen if this happens. Can someone tell my why?

New permission prompt to improve macOS notification experience for users when using shell scripts
Starting with Intune management agent for macOS v2407.005, weâre improving reliability and consistency for macOS notifications appearing in Notification Center when using shell scripts. When a script policy with a notification command is received by the Intune agent on the Mac, the agent now requests access to âSystem Eventsâ on macOS. This prompts macOS to request the device user to allow or disallow the âSystem Eventsâ permission using the alert shown below.
Â
Â
If the user selects âAllowâ, macOS system notifications for scripts run by the Intune agent will be enabled. If the user selects âDonât Allowâ, macOS system notifications for scripts run by the Intune agent will be disabled. The permission enables the Intune agent to consistently show notifications contained in the admin-assigned script policy.
Â
Note: Thereâs no impact to the Intune agentâs functionality or its ability to manage devices or run assigned policies based on the users selection.
Â
Â
What to expect
In the coming week or soon after, the Intune agent will receive an updated Privacy Preferences Policy Control (PPPC) payload (when applicable) to configure this permission silently using mobile device management.
Â
If you deploy macOS shell script that turns notifications on or have an Intune shell script policy with the setting âHide script notifications on devicesâ set to âNot configuredâ, your managed devices will receive the prompt.
Â
Â
Communicate to your macOS users that this prompt is expected, and they should select  âAllowâ on the alert. This setting can be managed under System Preferences > Privacy and Security > Automation > Microsoft Intune Agent on macOS devices.
Â
If you have any questions or feedback, leave a comment below or reach out on X @IntuneSuppTeam.

How to Convert Entity Attribute Buses into Signal for RL Agent Observation Input?
Dear Matlab Simulink Experts,
I am having troubles with my model, right now I have designed a model to emulate a single part that goes through operations and maintenance procedures. I am utilizing bus elements in an entity generator, the next step of my model is to connect the intended output of the model from entity server ‘damage’ to an observation input port of the RL agent block. The RL agent block will then produce an output through the action port, connected again to an option of entity servers. How do I convert and entity attribute into a signal that the RL agent can receive, and vice versa, how do I revert back the signal into an entity attribute, after the RL agent has made its decision? Or what are other options other than converting entities to signal?
The attempts I have made were using a signal conversion block, and a Matlab function block, but my efforts hasn’t been rewarding so far.
Your help would be very much appreciated. Attached are my files:
ModelV1.slx (the simulink model)
BusProfile.mat (the bus elements containing the entity attribute)
initialize.m (to initialize the bus editor)
RLScriptV4.mlx (the Reinforcement Learning script)
And this is the error generated:

Why doesn’t OneDrive support metadata and custom views?
Does OneDrive not support metadata?
Â
Problem
The only details I can see are as follows: Type, Modified, Added, Date created, Path Size. But my files have so much more metadata and categorizations.
Â
SharePoint file management is nice
The experience in SharePoint is great; it has all of our files packed with useful metadata; at one organization I was even able to remove all folders and rely only on libraries and metadata, providing UI via web parts like the Highlighted Content, Feed, and Public Views. File duplicates across hundreds of people went from thousands to zero for the majority of the time. Time searching for files went down to mere seconds. Collaboration increased. File integrity improved. On other sites, we had a mixture of folders and metadata, but still those Public Views were invaluable for managing our department data.
Â
Onedrive seems to lose much of my file data!
But moving over to OneDrive, it seems all that file storage functionality has been lost. Even existing file metadata seems to get lost during transfers. Devs seem to be throwing in some AI stuff, memories, but for some reason failing to listen to community feedback and add this basic functionality; even with complaints where Onedrive use resulted in lost and corrupted file metadata. Now they’ve announced the Next Generation of OneDrive but the topic doesn’t seem to be addressed. I see requests and complaints on the internet going back years, including many over the past 12 months over on the feedback portal. Most of this feedback seems to go ignored though.
Â
Is there a reason why Microsoft hasn’t allowed users to create a metadata column or to create custom views of our OneDrive libraries?

Understanding OKR permissions and privacy: not obvious parent-child logic!
Hi,
Wanted to share our experience and evolving understanding of OKR permissions and privacy to see if it matches with what others see and need.
Step 1 – Viva Goals provides a feature to make Objectives or Key Results “private” by setting the permissions to “Only selected people can view and align”. Given we have some Key Results that expose sensitive financial results, for those KR we set the permissions to just a limited set of people. This all feels good as a little “lock” appears beside the KR.
Step 2 – Some of those private KRs are grouped under a parent Objective that we also make “Private” as everything under the Objective is private. However, some of the private KRs are grouped under Objectives that also have KRs that are public, so those parent objectives are kept “public”.
Outcome: we assumed that all the KRs that we made private are indeed private. But to our surprise, this does not seem to be the case. When the private KR is child to a public Objective, then people who are NOT in the permission list can this see the KR and its result. Exactly what we wanted to avoid!
In the case of private KRs that are child to a private Objective, the general public can see the private Objective but they can not open it and see any of its child: which is good! (even though we thought they would not even see the private objective!).
So our conclusion is that to make KRs truly private they NEED to be grouped under a Private objective, not a public one. And it needs to be clear that this private Objective is actually visible to all. This is a relatively acceptable workaround once one is aware of it. However the User Interface of Viva Goals is deceptive in the way that it lets the KR creator think that its KR is private, when it actually is not.
Have others used the OKR privacy settings and see similar outcomes? Other experiences or recommendations on how to make sure private OKRs are truly private?
