How can I check for duplicates in Column A over multiple tabs (in months) on Excel Spreadsheet?
Hi,
I have a spreadsheet. Each Tab (in month order) Starting July, August, September and so on. In Column A a store number will be entered. This store number cannot be duplicated across any of the other tabs/months. What formula can I use to check for any duplicates entered on a tab? For example, say the current month is December and 2687 is entered, but its also in July. How can I show that its a duplication to another month?

C# & EF Core : 2 databases with a Customertable and different Columns
Hello,
I have a little PRoblem with my DbContext.
For Example: I have two Databases both have a Table Customer. One of the Customers has an Extension of our Software so in the Customertable there are for example 3 more columns.
Now when i create the DataAccess Class of the Customer Table i add the Structure from the Customer Table and the 3 extra columns. Now when i Request a Customer for the Customer with the extra Columns all is fine. The Request for the other Customer gets an Error that the last 3 Columns from the Model are not in the Table.
Unfortunately it is not possible to add the Columns to the other Customer Table.
so my Question is: Is there another Way to geht Records from both Databases with one Model Class and one DBContext?
I tried NotMapped and Required in DbContext, I tried Raw SQL but nothing worked. The only Solution is to create 2 DbContexts. But in Our Database there are more such Combinations of Table with different Columns.
Can anyone help or provide a way to test?
Best Regards
Philipp

How will the Sepetmber 16th changes to Outlook sign in procedure affect me
Tech info
Using two separate licensed copies of Office 2016, one on a Dell Laptop (W10 Home) the other on a Lenovo Desktop (W10 Homew). Outlook version is:
Microsoft® Outlook® 2016 MSO (Version 2406 Build 16.0.17726.20078) 32-bit .
Set up
Outlook is used as client to access outlook.com emails set up to use POP3. Laptop set to leave copies of emails on the Outlook.com server; Desktop removes emails from the Outlook server when they are collected and stores them on its SSD as a PST file. PST file backed up to local external HDD and a cloud location.
Gap in MS info
MS info found from following links to the MS message says that Outlook 2016 MSI is not compatible with the new requirements but does not mention Outlook 2016 MSO. Elsewhere MS says that Outlook 2016 is already set to use the new authentication methods by default. Other comments on this change suggest that it will no longer be possible to use POP3 though it might be provided with the ‘new’ Outlook App(?) at some unspecified time in the future.
Queries
So it is unclear how/if I can download and back up emails (PST files) after September 16 and whether I need to replace or just reconfigure my Outlook 2016 MSO programs.
Help and clarity gratefully received.

Save as PDF command to create PDF’s which retain high resolution JPG’s or PNG’s
It is possible to use the File… Save as PDF command to create PDF’s with high res JPG’s or PNG’s in place without the resolution being downgraded?
I have created sample files with resolutions of 200, 300 and 600 ppi which are successfully stored in the Word file.
I’m aware of options to export via the print dialogue, PDF maker, third party apps etc. I’m specifcally referring to the File, Save as PDF option.
I have set the output to Standard (publishing and printing), PDF/A compliance is turned OFF and Optimize for Image quality set ON. The Tools compress dialogue is set to use default resolution although I have tried High Fidelity. The file options Advanced dialogue for Image quality and size has been variously set to High Fidelity or 330 and the Do not compress images set to ON.
I undertand the EMF / WMF / SVG, etc could be used but the requirements are that the Save as PDF option is the one that must be used and JPEG’s and PNG’S used for pictures and graphics. From tests this simply doesn’t seem to work and the Word dialogue options do not significantly affect the output quality of the images. Can anyone confirm that these options do not work and if that’s the case why they don’t work and the point of including them if they don’t?
Cheers
Brad

Problems with static values in sharepoint list – possible workaround with JSON??
I have a list of changes in sharepoint , each change is an entry. I have a current week view and a next week view for the change management list. These are filtered by week number of the chnage, as if i used a range of between eg 7 – 14 days, if i were to look at the list on a friday it would miss out the changes for the following monday in my next week view. It seemingly works but at the beginning of each week it doesnt refresh unless i make a small change, save , then revert the change in list settings, or if i add a new entry.
I went through several Microsoft community posts and they all say that calculated values (based on content of another columns) are only updated if
the item/list entry is createdthe item/list entry is modifiedthe whole view or cloumn is modified
I was advised I could try playing around with JSON formatting to display the content of the other columns, instead of using calculated columns, but not sure where to start/how to go about it. I will inlude screenshots of what I have in my sharepoint list

% Complete and Planned % Complete is not same
Hello Experts,
I have a scenario where I am running a project. Following is the implementation of the same:
There are no dependencies in the project and neither the baselines for my project. I have just used the % Complete to update the project.
The formula for the Planned % Complete is as follows:
IIf([Start]>Now(),0,IIf([Finish]<Now(),100,(ProjDateDiff([Start],Now(),[Project Calendar])/[Duration])*100))
A very simple project but the percentage is not coming the same. Why?

Teams Notification for Sharepoint News – how to disable it?
Since last week, we in Germany have automatically received a Teams notification when news is published in Sharepoint, regardless of who wrote the message or whether I am even interested in it. Modify page template: modifications do not reflect in existing pages
In a specific Sharepoint site, i created a page template and set this as the default template.
I started to create several pages based on this template.
then, i decided to a 2 webparts to this template. However, modification made on this template does not show on existing pages that where created with this template.
I’m moving our internal KB from WordPress to Sharepoint.
Now, i’m afraid that, after adding a few 100 pages, management would want to see some changes in the layout. How do you Sharepointgurus tackle this?
thanks in advance

Azure OpenAI Assistants error to upload file in vector store
Hi everyone,
I work on python and i’m using OpenAI Assistants to do file search
This morning i found a new error in the Azure service for vector stores when i try to upload files.
The file is a simply text file. Until this morning everything works correctly.
Using this method:
file_batch = client.beta.vector_stores.file_batches.upload_and_poll(
vector_store_id=vector_store.id,
files=[file_stream]
)
I obtain this results:
VectorStoreFileBatch(id=’vsfb_54481954a81c4304a50836a045c46b3e’, created_at=1722517040, file_counts=FileCounts(cancelled=0, completed=0, failed=1, in_progress=0, total=1), object=’vector_store.file_batch’, status=’failed’, vector_store_id=’vs_toxChpcsKo4zP5hJ1rolC9ND’)
Looking the file i can see the error:
client.beta.vector_stores.files.list(vector_store.id).data
[VectorStoreFile(id=’assistant-ZkqNET3MpPlCMofluUe5QADJ’, created_at=1722517035, last_error=LastError(code=’server_error’, message=’An internal error occurred.’)]
I repeated the flow but everytime i ge the same problem.
I tested the same thing with OpenAI and it worked.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks,
Matteo

Bookings is ignoring calendar clashes
Hi
I’ve an issue with MS Bookings whereby it ignores other calendar appointments when making bookings.
The setting for Events on Office calendar affect availability is checked.
The setting for Always show time slots in business time zone is checked.
I have tested this with one member of staff, more than one, and have removed and re-added them in every possible combination.
Bookings are still made with clashes:
The bookings are being made with either of the members of staff, and customers are not selecting which they want to book with.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

New Outlook – Link functionality not working properly
Recently in the new Outlook environment a change was made to the way Links are handled. It used to be so that when I clicked a link, a new tab was opened in my edge browser. Since this week suddenly a new window opens (looks like EdgeWebview) that doesn’t accommodate my web plugins (Dashlane) nor calls upon cookies to prefill fields.
So for example when i follow a link to new courses on the Learning Platform, it forces me to log in manually. Of course I can rightclick copy paste the link, but it is still a nuisance.
All information i could find refer to older documentation and functionalities that are not present in the current settings menu.
Does anyone have a clue how to change the behavior for handling hyperlinks within outlook?

code does not call a designed function that works in other program
Hello and sorry for this long query. I am not very good at this , I have to admit it.
I am encountering an issue when trying to apply custom boundary conditions in a PDE model using MATLAB. Specifically, I have a custom boundary condition function mybc1 that works correctly in another code when using structuralBC to apply displacement conditions to vertices. However, in my current code, when I try to use applyBoundaryCondition to set mixed boundary conditions on specific faces, it seems that the solver does not enter the custom boundary condition function mybc1.
Here’s a brief description of what I am trying to do:
Model Definition: I have defined a PDE model with certain geometry and mesh.
Boundary Condition Application: I attempt to apply mixed boundary conditions on specific faces using applyBoundaryCondition with the u parameter set to a custom function handle @(location, state)mybc1(location, state, dis, ts, in).
Issue: It appears that the solver does not call the mybc1 function during the solution process. I verified this by setting breakpoints inside mybc1, which are never hit.
The mybc1 function interpolates the acceleration data (dis) at the times specified by the solver (state.time) and returns the corresponding values. This function has been tested and works correctly in another program with structuralBC.
code as follows:
%____________Define dimensions of the plate________________________________
len = 1.22; % length in x direction
