Exchange Cross Forest migration – Outlook reconfiguration
We’re cross forest migrating users and mailbox between two forests.
Both exchange Org are 2016
The two forest uses different URLs as
FOREST A
owa.domain.com
FOREST B
webmail.domain.,com
Now we’re testing the mailbox migration part which works without issue.
The mailbox gets migrated and accessing it with WEB works.
The problem is with outlook clients that don’t reconfigure automatically as we expected.
When the test user opens outlook it get stuck trying to open it from the old URL ( owa.domain.com ) and the autodiscover is not redirecting it to the new domain.
Is there a way we can do it ?
