To ensure your email remains accessible, you must comply with Microsoft Outlook security changes by transitioning from Basic to Modern Authentication by September 16, 2024. Failure to do so will result in blocked access to your account.

What modern authentication is,
What to expect, and
Guide you to Microsoft’s resources
So that you can take action before September 16th.
Impacted Users:
If you or a non-techy family member have one of the following applications that use POP or IMAP connections, you must comply with the security changes.
Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, or Live.com accounts
Outlook for Windows Desktop users with versions 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 (MSI), 2019 (LTSC) below 11601.10000
Thunderbird and Apple Mail users (must confirm and update settings)
