How to plot two graphs with different x axes on the same graph without using tiled layout?
I am trying to overlay two sets of data, one with pixels as x axis and the other wavenumbers. I have tried the tiled layout and they work beautifully in MatLab, however, when exporting these graphs as images only one of the plots is exported/copied. Is there another way of achieving this? Thank you!

How can I solve this implicit function in MatLab?
I have the implicit function f1 = @(x,y) a*log(y) – alpha*y + b*log(x) – beta*x – k1 and with the fimplicit command it is possible to plot a graph. How can I read a single band, from a multi-band GeoTiff file?
Hi, i have spent a lot of time to figure out how can i read only a specific band from a geoTiff file.
I have a GeoTiff file with a lot of bands and i need to import to my code, only one of them.
I tried:
imread( ‘mybigdata.tif’ , 3 );
%Error message : Invalid TIFF image index 3.
tiffreadVolume( ‘mybigdata.tif’ , ‘PixelRegion’ , { [1 1 inf] , [1 1 inf] , [3 3] });
%Error message Requested slice 3 is greater than the number of slices (1) in the volume.

I can see the 13 bands in this example, in 4th dimension for some reason, but i dont know how to read only the one of them

How can we compare several time series data qualitatively and quantitatively?
Suppose, I’m performing five time-domain simulations with 5 different coefficient values (say beta = [0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6]). For each beta value, I obtain a complete set of results as a time series (say, for one beta value, results = [speed, angle, wind force, heat]). I can then plot each of those results against time. The goal is to identify the effect of beta on each simulated parameter.
I can plot each result for each beta against time to see the qualitative difference/comparison as shown below. But the problem is that the minute deviations cannot be seen clearly in these type of plots.
I read about Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) but it is a bit difficult to wrap my head around. Why does the simulation graph change when I change the step size?
Hello everyone, I encounter some problems when I simulate the diff model as a fixed step solution.
First,i cant use numbers like 0.5,1,2,im getting error like this;
All sample times in your model
must be an integer multiple of the fixed-step size.
Second:When i changed the step size ,my simulations data is changing.
step-size = 0.1
step-size=0.01
what should i do to make it right ?

Stoping epwm after one period via one-shot trip
Hi
I am trying to stop my epwm via one-shot trip. I am using c2000 microcontoller blockset and launchpad-F280049C. I set up the epwm using the F28004x family epwm module. I have set up the one trip-shot as intructed in the TRM. I have routed GPIO 12 through input xbar 1 to do the tripping as shown in the screenshot.
Can you please advise how to achieve stopping the epw after one period (I use up-down counter for the epwm)? Do I need further sttings for the GPIO12? The purpose of my setup is to do a test within just one period and the epwm must stop.

How move selection through a .docx document from Matlab?
Hello everyone, I’ve to write a report in MS word from Matlab and I’m using actxserver(‘Word.Application’) and, despite of some material found on the internet, I can’t move the selection to a given point of my document. I load a template .docx I subsequently need to modify and interact with.
Here is my MWE (it doesn’t work since I am not allowed to upload .docx file)

Performance-wise, should I create my App Interactively using app designer or code it from the startupFcn(app)?
I am creating an application in MATLAB r2020b, which has a lot og UI elements (mainly uibuttons and uitextarea). I have a total of ~1000 elements organized in a gridlayout.
I am creating all the elements programatically in the startupFcn(app), but It takes a long time to open the app (~1 min).

I want to make an application that allows me to load the file, process the data and display on a graph. I would like to refresh the data every 5 seconds, by restarting the "live" function, but I have trouble understanding the "Timer" function.

I am trying to implement a new stand alone function to load a mat file (which has 3 timeseries in it) : (for example: Data.Signal1.Data,) and plot it.
The App is functional within Matlab app designer, but when i build a stand alone application, this error occured:

Unfortunatly i can not find the solution for that. could you please help me about it?

Export bus datatype from referenced subsystem
I have created a nested bus in a referenced subsystem in simulink and would like to use the bus datatype again in a different model. For this i would like to export the datatype from simulink to a dataDictionary. I tried to open the referenced subsystem in a model and use the commands Simulink.Bus.createObject and Simulink.Bus.save. But i was not able to generate the object in matlab to save it afterwards.
