Removing Outdated App Installation Errors in Microsoft Intune
Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with my Microsoft Intune dashboard. It continues to show app installation errors for users who no longer exist on the Windows 11 devices, as they have been removed. These error messages relate to both Win32 apps and Microsoft Store apps and seem outdated, cluttering the dashboard.
Is there a way to remove or clean up these outdated error messages?Is it possible to delete these error messages directly on the device or initiate a complete re-evaluation?
For example, the Company Portal app was deployed as a Microsoft Store app for Windows 11 devices. The following image shows the existing installation error:

New role recommendation: Read Only Exchange Admin
To fully leverage PIM, we are transitioning to Entra roles wherever possible. We wish we could get off of customized Exchange RBAC roles, but the Exchange Recipient Admin role, lacks access to information like mail flow rules, which is essential for troubleshooting mail delivery issues. We would appreciate the introduction of a read-only role that allows viewing all information in Exchange without the ability to make changes.

Upcoming Changes to Instance Size Flexibility Ratios for Reserved VM Instances for M-series: What Yo
Overview
In the ever-evolving landscape of cloud computing, it is crucial to stay informed about changes that may affect your usage and business. We are writing to notify you about some important updates related to Azure Reserved Virtual Machine Instance (RI) for M-series.
What is happening?
As we continue to offer a wide selection of SKUs for M-series VMs, on December 6, we will be updating the instance size flexibility ratios for this product to optimize reservation discount within instance size flexibility groups and their respective SKUs.
How do instance size flexibility ratios work?
When you purchase a RI, you can choose to optimize for instance size flexibility or capacity priority. When you choose instance size flexibility, it allows the RI discount to apply to all VM sizes (SKUs) within that instance size flexibility group. The discount application varies based on the VM size selected when purchasing RIs, the sizes of VMs in use, and the ratio, which represents the relative footprint for each VM size within the instance size flexibility group. See an example of instance size flexibility group, SKUs included in that group and their ratios in the table below.

Why is this important?
If you have reservations for M-series VMs, optimized for instance size flexibility, you may notice changes in your reservation coverage. Although there are no price changes, your reservation utilization could change due to the changes in ratios.
Change in instance size flexibility ratios will impact the total units/VMs covered by RI, it will either increase or decrease RI coverage. Coverage for each VM SKU is measured by RI Normalization ratio, which is provided in the usage file under the additional info attribute, which can be downloaded from Cost Management (see more details on this process here).
If the RI Normalization ratio increases, the RI Coverage will decrease, resulting in overages/additional costs. If the ratio decreases, the RI will cover more VMs.
What do I need to do?
Prior to December 6, please review the list of SKUs with updated instance size flexibility ratios to understand if your VMs will be impacted. If you don’t have reservations for SKUs (VM sizes) listed in that list, these changes will not affect you.
Starting December 6, start to review your RI utilization to understand how the updated ratios may have impacted your coverage. You can find step by step guidance on how to review your utilization in the Azure Portal leveraging this MS Learn Page.
If your reservations are underutilized, you can run more VMs of that instance, exchange unused reservations to a VM family that is not covered by an RI or you could trade-in unused reservations to an Azure savings plan for compute to increase savings. You can also find additional guidance leveraging Azure Advisor to identify additional ways to save within your environment.
If your reservations are 100% utilized, it is recommended to review your cost savings recommendations in Azure Advisor to identify additional ways to save within your environment such as purchasing additional RIs or savings plans. Please note that it can take up to a few days for Azure Advisor recommendations to update based on the updated ratios.

Planning a 24H2 in-place upgrade from 23H2 using Feature Update:
I’m planning to roll out Windows 11 24H2 as an in-place upgrade from 23H2 using Feature Update in Microsoft Config Manager (SCCM). I’m considering the following approach:
I will use the Task Sequence to upgrade the devices from 23H2 to 24H2 using Feature Update.WHY Task Sequence: I also want to update the drivers and bios of the system and take the opportunity to update the devices (see screenshot for more information).

Copilot agents in SharePoint work for you, your team, and people you work with across your organization to help enhance knowledge sharing and teamwork. In a single click, create and share a Copilot agent in SharePoint, grounded in only the information you want.
From your SharePoint document library, select only the folders or files you want. Agents reason over the scoped set of SharePoint content to answer your questions, summarize information, or provide valuable insights, giving the most current and accurate response.
Copilot agents are automatically enabled in every SharePoint site. And then you can create additional agents with specific purposes, grounded by other content – other document libraries – to serve the purpose of sharing knowledge, without you being the copy/paste/respond person tied to email and chat; create an agent to work for you.

Microsoft Clipchamp is launching for Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 commercial subscriptions (for business)
Clipchamp is a video editing tool and it’s coming to Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 subscriptions. It will be accessible via its Windows app or on desktops through Edge or Chrome browsers. Users can edit videos in OneDrive or SharePoint, and it will appear activated in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
One new way to get to Clipchamp is to type in: Microsoft365.com/launch/clipchamp – which takes you to its new start page, bringing Stream and Clipchamp home pages closer together.
You’ll see the ability to upload videos, start a web-based screen recording session, create a playlist, start a new video project – where you can add videos, text, music, produce AI-generated voiceovers – with a range of 400 voices in a variety of languages to narrate any video, and more.

Microsoft 365 Copilot in Microsoft Viva Amplify
Our goal here is to enhance your authoring experience with AI. That’s why we’re bringing Copilot into Viva Amplify. It will be available in the Campaign Brief and Publication authoring canvases.
With our Copilot editor experience, by selecting the rewrite capability, Copilot will suggest diverse ways to rewrite your content, providing options that vary in style, structure, and emphasis. Copilot allows you to shorten or expand your content based on your needs. You can tailor your text to meet word counts without compromising quality. Copilot helps you shift the tone of your writing. The Viva Amplify Copilot rich text editor (RTE) supports the following tones: Casual, Professional, Enthusiastic, Engaging, and Creative.
Some important news: A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is not required to use this new feature. If you have a Viva Amplify license through Microsoft Viva Suite, Microsoft Viva Communications and Communities, or another Viva license, you can use Copilot in Viva Amplify. NOTE: A customer that has a Viva Amplify license but does not have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license will not have access to Copilot on Microsoft SharePoint pages.
This feature is available by default for all Viva Amplify users in the web/desktop experience. Note: Amplify on mobile iOS and Android applications is currently out of scope. Last, a reminder: Disabling Copilot only exists at the tenant level.

SharePoint eSignature: Adobe Acrobat Sign and Docusign integration, rolling out globally
Now you can eSign with choice. It is now possible to use third-party providers, wherever they are supported. You are no longer required to enable native SharePoint eSignature as a prerequisite for enabling either Docusign or Adobe Acrobat Sign.
From a deployment and enablement perspective, you do have to set up Pay-as-you-go to enable SharePoint eSignature, but Microsoft will not charge customers for using third-party providers. Admins need to enable the feature in the Microsoft admin center at Setup > Automate content with Syntex> Go to Syntex > eSignature – and then admins can enable a third-party provider without enabling native SharePoint eSignature, and vice versa.
Once configured, Microsoft 365 users who have licenses with Adobe Acrobat Sign or Docusign will be able to initiate eSignature requests with these providers directly from SharePoint within Microsoft 365.

Teamwork updates across SharePoint team sites, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
Microsoft 365 is designed to be a universal toolkit for teamwork – to give you the right tools for the right task, along with common services to help you seamlessly work across applications. SharePoint is the intelligent content service that powers teamwork – to better collaborate on proposals, projects, and campaigns throughout your organization – with integration across Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Yammer, Stream, Planner and much more.
SharePoint: Design Ideas is now available.
SharePoint page authors and editors will now be able to use Design Ideas on their compatible sections – to enhance sections with new layouts and formatting. Design Ideas identifies the text and webpart content of the section and suggests new layouts, backgrounds, text formatting, and image webparts to enhance the section. You can then select the suggestions to apply them.
When you click into a new section with one blank text webpart, Design Ideas will offer formatting options that you can add to get started. After your section has additional content, Design Ideas will summarize your text to provide appropriate image webparts and background suggestions along with basic text formatting.

Microsoft Lists: Add approvals to any list.
This gives you the ability to configure Approvals by going to the Automate dropdown from the command bar in the Lists app, or if you’re working directly in SharePoint. Approvals will be actioned and available from Microsoft Teams. Note that disabling approvals will only hide the relevant columns and in-progress approvals will still be actionable in Teams. At any time, you can manually add approvals columns back into views.
After Approvals are enabled, a user can create a list item and submit it for approval. By creating an approval request and specifying the approver, the request will appear in the Approvals app in Teams or can be approved directly within the list. Once approved, the list item status gets updated.
And there’s a nice fail-safe feature the team built in. If a list item was sent through a review/approval process, and was approved – any change to the item post approval will trigger a warning pop-up that lets the person know that this amount, or date, or status change has been approved and shouldn’t be adjusted; to maintain good governance and process – all auditable throughout the entire review and approval process.

OneDrive: Colorful folders, in the OneDrive folder, are coming to the Microsoft Windows File Explorer
That’s right, Explorer.exe gets a full spectrum of light into your desktop folders. You will be able to see folder colors applied from OneDrive on the web in your OneDrive folder in File Explorer; and you can adjust them in File Explorer by right clicking a folder name and then selecting OneDrive > Folder color.
It really uplevels the look and feel and useability of your folders, especially as you start to establish what distinct colors mean to your way of working, that now travels and remains consistent no matter where you work with your files.

SharePoint list and library rules will now send notifications from the no-reply@sharepointonline.com email address.
We’re making a change to how emails are sent for customers that use list or document library rules, – created from the Automate dropdown. You specify an automated ‘send to’ email based on when a change occurs: A new file or item is added, a file or item is deleted, and file or item metadata conditions get updated.
To align system generated emails with best practices, these emails will now come from the no-reply@sharepointonline.com email address with the display name “SharePoint Online”. Previously, these emails would be sent on behalf of the user that made a file or item update.

Send Messages using Bot/Change Notification in MS Teams
I have some questions regarding bot functionality within Microsoft Teams.
I’m developing an app/plug-in to monitor and analyze all incoming messages in chats and channels. The goal is to intercept these messages, check them for specific flagged (e.g., inappropriate) content, and instantly send a notification back to the respective chat or channel if flagged content is detected. I need to achieve this in real time.
Currently, I’ve implemented the first half of this functionality using Microsoft Graph’s change notifications API, allowing me to intercept and read messages as they arrive. However, I’m facing a limitation: since my app doesn’t have permissions to post messages, I can’t use the Graph API’s send capabilities to notify users within the channels or chats.

Access to Word Document
Office 365. I have an Access report with one image (logo) and 4 subreports as a Print Preview. I need to save it as a Word .docx.
Would it be best to just use the export to word command on the Print Preview tab or should I try to set it up as a merge document? It would require subdocuments, I believe. I will need to give it a unique name, based on the data in the report.
Once it is in Word, can I make changes from Access? Can I re-open the Word document from Access at a later date to edit it?
OR is there a better way???

I have a spreadsheet that uses XLOOKUP to pull data from one tab into another. I have matching references on each tab to identify the data. However, I now need to add data from a new date. How can I adjust my XLOOKUP to only pull the data from a particular date? An example of one of the current formulas is XLOOKUP($C8,’DATA ‘!$B:$B,’DATA ‘!Z:Z). C8 is the refrence and DATAB:B is the reference column. My new date column is DATA!B:B.

Hi – we’re using Copilot pretty effectively to summarize and interrogate PDFs. Does anyone know of a way to get page number-specific references/citations when asking Copilot targeted questions of the document?
For example: “Find discussions in the document related to some topic“
This identifies relevant parts of the document, but the citations always point to the entire document, and do not identify specific pages.

All administrators not receiving emails
Is there a way for all Administrators to receive the emails when an appointment is made? I am the creator of the Bookings and receive updates when an appointment is made/changed/canceled but I would like my administrative assistant, who is also in Bookings as an Administrator, to receive them as well.
Creating new Bookings with the administrative assistant as the creator would be a lot of work (we have multiple Bookings pages…)

Issue with Microsoft Purview Governance/Business Domains invisible/not found
I was wondering if anybody has experienced such issue? After new Purview update and introducing Governance domains instead of business domains in data catalog, I cannot see the previously established business/governance domains but can still see the data products I had previously created under legacy business domains.
– I have Purview admin and data governance admin tenant level as well but still the issue persists.
– I cannot create new governance domains since I get cyclic dependency error
– Have tried different web browsers no luck so far!
– Any similar experience and potential tip/workaround for this issue?

TODO not synchronizing in PWA widget
Hi,
Tasks from project groups don’t sync in the add-on in Outlook PWA/WEB. Tasks from my Project for the Web are visible in the TODO app, Teams, and also in the Tab in Outlook PWA. However, they don’t show up in the right-side widget in Outlook. I’m using this widget to drag and drop tasks into the calendar; it’s the only way I’ve found to do it, and it helps me with task planning across all project groups. You can see the difference in the screenshot. Worth mentioning is that when the new Planner was introduced (and tasks from Project for the Web started showing up in Todo), this feature worked for a couple of days. I could drag and drop tasks from Todo to the calendar because they were visible in the side panel.

Add “Add Sender to Safe Senders” button to quarantine email
We’re really liking the email filtering with Defender for Office overall, and the quarantine emails are great (if maybe a bit too spaced out), but one feature that really feels missing is an “Add to Safe Senders” button for end users.
I understand they can do it by actually going to the quarantine page if they know where to look, but most of our users never actually do that. It would be amazing to have the option next to “Review Message” and “Release” to “Add to Safe Senders.” We often get users submitting tickets to our help desk to ask for addresses to be whitelisted (which also isn’t best practice generally), and they don’t really understand that they can just add the sender to their own Safe Sender list.
I think this would be a massive boost to the user experience and quality of the product- hope the product group will consider it. Thanks

I am trying to create a declarative agent in VS Code that allows the user to upload and summarize a PDF document. However, when I provision the agent, the buttons to add context is greyed out:
I can drag and drop a file there, but this seem unintuitive and inconvenient as long as this button is disabled (because it gives the user the impression that they cannot upload anything).
Do you have any ideas how to solve this and enable this button?
