Want to show specified text based on month in selected cell in excel
Hello everyone,
I’m stuck with the next problem:
I am creating something like resource list of parts in maintenance. My goal is to show text in a cell based on year quartals (jan, feb and mar are the first quartal, apr, may and jun second, etc).
I have parts with 9 years of lifetime.
I have first column with a names of parts, second column shows years of lifetime, third is showing quartal of the year when the part is manufactured, and fourth needs to show me date when the lifetime of the part ends (for example: part is manufacured “1Q/18” then the fourth column needs to show date of expiration of that part in next format “31.03.2027.”).
My first idea was to create an “IF” formula which will do this: if the first part of the cell is “1Q” then in next cell show date “31.03”. If the first part of the cell is “2Q” then show date “30.06”. I want the day and the month to depend on quartal of the year (first part of the cell) and year must sum da year of manufacturing “/18” (18 says that part is manufactured in 2018.) plus year of lifetime of part. In this specific case 2018(/18)+9 years (lifetime is 9 year) = 2027. So, if i enter in a cell “1Q/18” the next cell needs to show me “31.03.2027.”.
If anyone can help, i will be gratefull.

List bullets redefining their own left-indents somehow (tables, multi-level lists)
There is some weird interaction with tables and muti-level lists that I run into intermittently.
It has happened twice tonight.
Essentially, I have a List Bullets styles 1-5 which indent in an orderly, style-conforming way when I press alt-shift-L/RArrow. I followed the tutorial that always gets linked to on forums like these for defining this.
These list bullets left-indent in increments of 0.25″. So List Bullet = 0″, List Bullet 2 = 0.25″, List Bullet 3 = 0.5″, etc.
When I am inserting and (un)indenting these inside tables, eventually I will notice that the indents aren’t looking right. I will check the styles and (in this instance), List Bullet 2 is suddenly 0.47″.
At no point have I deliberately altered a style definition. In fact, I have “mark formatting inconsistencies” turned on, and will periodically select anything that deviates from rigid style conformity and clear direct formatting at both the paragraph and character level. I am really trying to do Word right.
I can’t even begin to understand why these styles would redefine themselves, but I’m somewhat convinced it has something to do with tables. It seems that whenever I use anything that involves nesting of some kind within a table, my document becomes “haunted” and nondeterministic. I long ago found out to NEVER use style headings in tables, as that seems to be even worse at filling my document with poltergeists.

I can handle some MS quirks if I can select everything and hit ctrl-q and ctrl-space to restore order. But I don’t know how to approach this.

Some extensions don’t work on Android Edge Canary when returning to the app
I am using Edge Canary and have installed several extensions through the developer options, but some of the extensions are not working when I resume from the background.
The extensions that don’t work seem to be automatically disabled internally, so I can disable them from the extension options and then re-enable them to use them again. (However, in the latest Canary build, if this problem occurs, the app crashes when I try to open the extension options.)
This issue occurs with uBlock Origin, Stylus, etc., and probably occurs with the Manifest V2 extension.
This issue occurs on multiple devices and occurs even after reinstalling, so it is not device-dependent.

Has Microsoft Solved the nvlddmkm.sys BSOD Error Which May Be Related to the Update Download Failure
Hi Microsoft friends, Has Microsoft solved the nvlddmkm.sys which may be related to the Update.Download Failure Error 0x800f0841 which should update the build to the latest Windows 11 version? My temporary fix after a grueling days of lost productivity is to disable the Nvidia driver in Device Manager but of course this cause the resolution to be wrong coz’ the basic drivers lack the native screen resolution and graphical tasks are slow and games can’t be played.
What could the fix be for both?

Auto Filtering Blanks
Good afternoon,
Was looking to see if there was a way of matching up numbers from check out to check in column as I enter the info. For example when everyone is checking there stuff back in I don’t want to have look for the radio number to match it up and scan it into that cell. I want to able to scan it on the first row and have it line up on it’s own.

I am using it for rostering staff. If I have a staff member off, I want the cell to remain either blank or with a 0 for their hours on that day. I have the “30” in to remove their break time.

Authentication issues when trying to Migrate Data using VS Code from SQL server
Hi,
I am trying to migrate data from our SQL database which is on one virtual machine to another virtual machine on the same network using VS code and Node JS. I keep getting authentication errors. On the SQL server the error is “Login failed for user ‘xxxx’. Reason: Could not find a login matching the name provided. [CLIENT: xxx.xxx.xx.xx]”. The user details entered are correct and I am admin on the SQL Server. I have checked all permissions.

Conditional Formatting?
Hi folks!
I’m trying to create an expense report of some type.
Here’s what I’m trying to accomplish…
I want to be able to put in the total value of a charge in column F. Then, I want to be able to select the currency type from a drop down menu I’ve created in column G. What happens in column H and I will depend on the currency that is chosen from the drop down menu.
If CAD is chosen, I would like Column H to multiply the value in column F by the tax rate and then Column I will add the two columns together.
If USD is chosen, I would like column I to simply multiply column F’s value by an exchange rate I input (1.277 for example) and populate the new total in CAD.
If euro is chosen, I would like the same thing as above but a different exchange rate.
I have a reference sheet set up with the applicable exchange rates already, thinking I would maybe use LookUp or something…?
Any thoughts if this is even possible?

Need help with Sequence function to list out dates properly.
In attempting to create an Amortization Table, I’m having trouble filling out my Date column using the Sequence formula. I want the first date (Cell C10) to show the 15th day of the month following the “Initial Date” in cell D5. In this example, Cell C10 should show “12/15/2022” then all the following cells should be spilled out (using the 1st day of the month) because of the number of payments shown in cell H3. I’m new to the SEQUENCE formula. So, please tell me what I’m doing wrong. (Hopefully my screenshots show up below.) The 2nd pic seems to be closer to what I need. but putting 30.437 in the STEP section of the Sequence formula doesn’t seem to be the right option either. Please help!!

Hello I am trying utilize the IFS function to calculate additional footages pas a certain Unit criteria. based on the length of a short, medium, or long unit and whether it is a normal unit, branch unit or transfer unit as different factors. the maximum length for a long normal unit is 120 ft, for any length branch unit is 25 ft, and for any length transfer is 5 ft. I came up with the formula below but am not getting the right output.
=IFS(G4=”long”&F4>120,F4-120,I4=”branch”&F4>25,F4-25,I4=”transfer”&F4>5,F4-5)

SharePoint ‘sites’ API Doesn’t Return All Sites
I’m new to SharePoint, so bear with me.
I have 100+ users, all of whom have been given access to a SharePoint site called ‘NetSuite BluDocs’ through a group called ‘NetSuite BluDocs Members’ which has ‘Edit’ permissions. A third-party NetSuite app called ‘bluDocs’ (that I don’t control) runs in NetSuite and will display folders and files for projects. Users have to authenticate with SharePoint the first time they open the bluDocs list in NetSuite. A ‘refresh_token’ returned by SharePoint is stored in NetSuite, which is then used for authentication whenever the NetSuite user wants to view folders and files. Every user can go directly to SharePoint and find any folder/file they want since they all belong to the ‘NetSuite BluDocs Members’ group.
However, there are 7 users for whom the bluDocs in NetSuite don’t display. The reason is that the ‘sites’ API is not returning the ‘NetSuite BluDocs’ site info even though it’s returning other sites the user has access to. I’ve had users reauthenticate bluDocs several times without success.
If I copy the refresh_token from a user who is working properly in NetSuite and paste it into the refresh_token for a user who can’t see the bluDocs in NetSuite, the user can see the bluDocs, but anything they upload is shown as belonging to the user whose token I copied. I don’t know how permissions are stored in SharePoint, but it looks like some user refresh_tokens aren’t being linked to the ‘NetSuite BluDocs’ site – or the opposite; ‘NetSuite BluDocs’ isn’t being linked to the refresh_token.
Given that all 7 affected users can go directly to SharePoint and see all folders and files, why isn’t the ‘sites’ API returning ‘NetSuite BluDocs’ in the list of sites the user is assigned to?

Unable to set ‘Send As’ permissions in Exchange Online via runbook in Azure.
Hi,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to grant ‘Send As’ permissions through a runbook in Azure.
I have tested various EXO modules and runtime versions, but I keep encountering this error:
Write-ErrorMessage : A server-side error has occurred, preventing the operation from completing. Please try again later. If the issue persists, please contact MS support.
It doesn’t matter whether I use delegated permissions or a managed identity.
I am able to set ‘Send As’ permissions through the Exchange portal and locally on my machine using PowerShell. However, I need this to work within my Azure runbook. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this issue?
