Automatically populate date to cell in Excel (with VBA)
I’ve create a VBA in Excel but would like to respective entries when data is added to automatically populate a date and time stamp in Column 3 of the worksheet. I was able to use a formula that worked if I manually entered information directly into the worksheet but I’d like for the field to populate if the data comes from the VBA macro.

Teams for Mac Opens to Viva Connections
This started happening Monday to both Windows and Mac in which, every time a user completely quits and re-opens Teams client, it defaults to Viva Connections and our SharePoint page. This isn’t a big deal but now for Mac clients, anytime we close, not completely quit, it defaults back to Viva Connections. Minimizing doesn’t do it but if clicking the red x to close it to the background does this.
Tested on MacOS Sonoma 14.5 (23F79)

Win 11, DUO, Global Protect and Idle time | Lose internet connection
Hello,
My company has upgraded to Windows 11.
We use DUO to log in
We use Global Protect as a VPN
I am hard-wired via ethernet and use docking stations to run multiple monitors (8). The ethernet cable from the docking station goes to a switch and then to my AT&T router for the house.
When I go to lunch and come back, my network adapter drops the connection and does not sign me in with DUO. I have to use my offline code, and then my Global Protect VPN does not and will not reconnect after countless tries. I have to reboot for the internet to reconnect fully.
After testing two times, I’ve noticed that it seems to work if I unplug my ethernet cable from my docking station and then plug it back in.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is it a known bug? Is the fix to unplug my ethernet cable after a 30-minute idle time after the computer sleeps?
Thoughts?

Power BI DAX measurements
Hello Power BI users. I am trying to create a measurement that gives me the top 10 providers experiencing patient’s leaving against staff advice (ASA). The date that I am trying to create this measure lives in two separate tables from two different sources. I’ve connected these two tables using a date table to connect the two tables.
In the ASA_Ali_1 table there are multiple programs with dates listed within each row. These dates include program capacity which will need to be used in the calculation. (of note, the ASA_Ali_1 table does not contain case by case basis information but a summation of ASAs that have occurred for each date corresponding to a specific program). In the CLEAN_ASA table, contains case by case i.e., client leaving ASA and the provider that was working with said client at the time of their departure.
I need to use the program capacity to generate a relative number of ASAs of a specific provider (contained in CLEAN_ASA) against the average program capacity (contained in ASA_Ali_1). I would like the output to show me the top 10 providers experiencing ASAs for the most recent month.
Please let me know if I can create DAX measurements within both tables to generate this output. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Usage and reports not showing jobs printed
So just setup Universal print a few days ago. Have had other people print and even did a printed a test document with like 10 words on it from Word. For some reason, it is registering that I am using some of our available print jobs, but in Activity it is showing 0. Even when running the reports no data is populating. Any advice?

Invoke-PnPTenantTemplate is not performing any action.. “Access token acquired”
I have 2 SharePoint Online tenants which both have a modern communication sites. now i used this command to get the source site template:-
PS C:Usersmohan> Connect-PnPOnline -Url “https://ssms.sharepoint.com/sites/PPM-test/” -Interactive
PS C:Usersmohan> Get-PnPSiteTemplate -Out “PnP-Provisioning-F.xml”
and i got this file:-
but when i try to apply the site template to the destination site using this command:-

ACTION REQUIRED: HDC API users may need to update code for accessing submission blobs by Aug 28th
On August 28th, 2024, Hardware Dev Center APIs will change the type of blob urls that are returned in various API calls from service sas urls to user delegated sas urls. Partners using HDC Hardware dashboard API to automate driver submission process may be affected. The specific area affected is the upload and downloads through the download links in the submission response. All other aspects of the submission process that can be accessed through the API are not affected. Partners are recommended to update to latest version of the libraries they use to upload and download from Azure Blobs during the driver submission process.
Partners using C# are encouraged to move to Azure.Storage.Blobs library to ensure that driver submissions are not interrupted. Any partner already managing blob interactions through Azure.Storage.Blobs library are not affected by this change. Please reference this documentation that covers how to upload to a blob with .NET: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/blobs/storage-blob-upload.

* Note, I chose to keep declined RSVPs as that may trigger action on my part.
Yes! No problems so far.
However, if people that accept or hit maybe send a message along with the RSVP, there is no way to filter for that. So still worth checking every now and then

Windows 11 sound bar
In windows 10 in the old sound setting when that application made noise there was a green bar that showed it made noise. Windows 11 has it but only for the master volume why? Sometimes applications have the multiple sounds sections to change and I can’t tell which one its coming from (e.g Discord). The feature is already there so why can’t can’t they have it for each app?

Junk Mail Folder Notifications
There is currently no options for notification settings on a specific folder. It would be REALLY nice if we were given the option to not get notifications when the plethora of emails arrive in our Junk Folder. I don’t mind other folders, but I beg you for the option on the Junk Folder.

Copilot not connecting to SQL Server in Actions
Hello All,
I am trying to make a copilot that triggers an action that will look into a SQL Server table and return a number. The user communicating with the copilot enters a part number and the copilot is supposed to respond with the quantity on hand for the part number.
Where my issue is – I can use the “Get Rows” action or “Get Tables” action for SQL server just fine. But when I try to use a power automate flow with the same SQL server connection and credentials, it is unable to create the connection. Is any aware of why this might be the case?

SSMA Error
When I try to run SSMA for Access to migrate any database, I get the following error:
“Received an invalid column length from the bcp client…”
I have tried creating a new Access database with a single, simple table, and I still get the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Co-Organizer cannot edit Town Hall Attendees or Presenters
Team,
I was added as a co-organizer for a Teams Town Hall. The organizer will be on vacation the day of the TH, so I was added to be able to add presenters if needed. When I open the meeting from my Teams calendar and attempt to Manage Event, it tells me that as a co-organizer I cannot edit anything on the Details page.
According to MC688109, this ability was supposed to be added recently. Has this been delayed?
How can I get the ability to edit attendees/presenters without cancelling the existing meeting and creating a new one?

Users on iOS can’t write to group chat with a bot
Hi all, I’m seeing some strange behaviour with the Teams iOS app when trying to interact with bots in 1-1 group chats . I’ve tried with multiple iPhones, all updated to the latest Teams version. The same issue does not appear on Android and Web/Desktop flavours of Teams. Has anyone seen this issue before? I couldn’t find anything in the knowledge base
Setup:
User cannot send messages in the group chat:
(also notice the bot, which is correctly named “Symlabs9 – Symphony” in the messages on web/desktop, is shown as “Unknown User” on iOS)
it seems Teams iOS is not counting the bot as a user? which would explain why the bot doesn’t appear in the member list, and why the error about needing more than one person in the room is shown?

I recently updated my Windows 10, and now I’m experiencing display issues with Quick~B00ks Desktop. The fonts appear blurry and the interface doesn’t seem to fit properly on my screen. I’ve tried adjusting my screen resolution and DPI settings, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!

Viewing Email Aliases in New Outlook
Hey everyone, I work for my company’s IT department and we got a request from a user that wanted to know how to view aliases for an email recipient’s outbox. All of our emails display as:
firstname . lastname @ campus . edu.
In the Old Outlook this user was able to right click on the recipient’s name and go to Outlook Properties and in the first box there was an alias section that showed their username, which is what we all use to sign into our accounts. Is this not possible on the New Outlook or merely under development? Thanks!
