Hi
I have a code that highlight duplicated words or numbers, it gives the first value a pink color, and the duplicate a green color.
AFAIK Words can’t search for a specific highlight color. So what I want it to do so I can delete the duplicate values is to add underline to the duplicate instead of highlight.

It was one year ago today that I finally reached my target weight goal which I had struggled for a long while to achieve. Those who have known me since childhood may remember me as an underweight guy who doesn’t have any issue with extra pounds on board. Growing up, I was the skinniest kid in the class. My nickname from some best friends in high school and college was “Runt.” I weighed only 113 pounds the day I got married a week after graduating from college. Things had changed, though, 30+ years later as I’m sure many from my age group can understand. In late 2011, I put on nearly 20 pounds in a relatively short time period. The Thanksgiving to Christmas holiday season was the main stretch of time in which I threw caution and good sense to the wind and reached what was for me a lifetime high weight. I didn’t like the new, bigger me very much in a few ways. The extra weight slowed down my running game considerably. I didn’t care for the noticeable gut. Who likes having to buy bigger clothes, too? Not me. While I was able to lose a few of those pounds over the next several months, they weren’t all coming off nearly as quickly as I wanted, and certainly not as quickly as they appeared. So I was glad when my company, Humana, began a 100 Day Dash in June 2012 for all associates who wanted to participate. The competition was to get as many steps in and tracked via pedometer over 100 days beginning in early June. I set a goal of reaching 15,000 steps per day – about 7.5 miles. Fortunately, I was able to average that throughout the 100 days, logging over 1.5 million steps during the period. About the mid point of last year’s dash, on July 26, 2012, I finally hit my weight goal. I’m glad to report that on today’s one-year anniversary of that occasion, I have been able to weigh in at or below that target weight with no exceptions. That means I had to eat less junk food and more reasonable portions of healthy food. I had to control myself through the holidays and while traveling – times when it is easy to stray from a healthier eating plan. I also did something that most advise against, which is to weigh in daily. I did it to help me determine how much I might eat each day. If I weighed in at my limit in the morning, one solid meal was probably all I could eat without being above the goal the next day. Weighing in below the goal gave me a little more flexibility in what and how much I ate for that day. That may not be the ideal approach nutritionists would recommend, but it has worked for me, so I’ll stay with it. We are again this summer in the middle of Humana’s 100 Day Dash. This time I have a goal of averaging 17,000 steps per day and so far I’m on track. I’m on a great team of ten people (including the CEO) who are doing well at encouraging one another throughout the dash. The dog is happy from all the walking, and I know the nine flights of stairs up to my office at work like the back of my hand, having only taken the elevator a single-digit number of times since early June. It helps that Humana painted encouraging and motivational messages on the steps and posted attractive, informative, and motivational posters and paintings in the stairwells. When I weighed in this morning, I was a few pounds under the goal. That’s a good thing since I’m spending tomorrow at my parents’ farm – days always filled with lots of food choices. I’ll be able to enjoy myself within reason and not worry about surpassing my limit when I weigh in the next day. All of us know people who struggle with weight loss, or who struggle with maintaining previous weight loss. If you have never had to share their struggles, consider yourself fortunate. Losing weight takes hard work, dedication, and usually a lot of time. I haven’t had to deal with the issue anywhere close to the extent many others do every day. Still, I can at least vouch for the satisfaction that comes from reaching a weight loss goal regardless of the quantity of loss, and of keeping it off. So let me say a public “thank you” to my company, Humana, for their constant efforts among employees to promote health and wellness in all aspects of life, and especially for campaigns such as the 100 Day Dash which add a little fun, excitement, competition and reward to healthy behaviors. Humana, you are a great partner in my wellness. I have received a quotation as a table displayed in a PDF file. I want to convert this quotation into an Excel so that I can edit it easily. I have tried to do this in Excel by selecting Get Data – From File – From PDF, but the data is scattered in a mess of cells and requires a lot of manual changes. Need a lot of manual modification.

Any Way to Make Keyboard Language Changes More Obvious?
I find it inconvenient to switch between two keyboard languages and always have to glance at the taskbar to confirm which one is active or when I switch the keyboard input. Is there a visual cue, similar to the volume bar that appears when adjusting volume, that could simplify this process?

USB SSD Drive keeps disconnecting
Does anyone have any suggestions to make the drive accessible for as long as it is plugged in?
I have an Asus Vivobook S1605ZA laptop running Windows 11 and I bought a Seagate SRD00F1 Backup Plus portable drive on which I store documents, photos etc, most of which were moved across from my old PC when I bought the laptop. When plugged in to the USB 3 port, the file manager comes up and I can access all the files fine but after a few minutes the portable drive becomes inaccessible. This means that I can’t save the documents I was working on etc and is very frustrating. I tried ‘working’ the drive by opening and closing one file after another and found that the drive did not disconnect when used in this way, even after half an hour, but if I just open a file and work on a document or spreadsheet, after a few minutes I cannot save the document and although the file manager displays all the files I cannot open them – I get the message ‘D:{Folder Name} is not accessible. The device is not ready’ I have tried altering all the energy saving settings in windows with no success.Does anyone have any suggestions to make the drive accessible for as long as it is plugged in? Exchange 2019 SMTP Receive Connector
Hi Tech,
We have Exchange 2019, SMTP Open Relay Receive Connector.
We have around 300+ services using this connector. Recently We engaged a few customers and performed exercise to send email with Authentication.
My question here is, How we can find which smtp connection/IP is relaying emails using authentication and which connection/IP is relaying email anonymously/without authentication.
I tried finding authentication tags in smtp receive connector’s logging without any success.
Any idea or direction to achieve this? Thank in Advance.

FSLogix and ODFC with OST files. Some users keep reverting to %localappdata%

I’m posting under a personal account and not office as Firm doesn’t allow joining with Firm email.
Running Citrix / Windows 2019 Server / FSLogix 2.9.8784.63912. All users citrix (450 users) across 20 servers. 20vCPU 86GB RAM. We use PVS golden image and reboot all citrix servers nightly @ 3am
We use UPM so FSLogix is only for ODFC.
Scenario
We are finding that users OST files are being created on the network share (\ServerODFC) and are working fine for a period of time.
However users eventually ‘break’ (as I call it) and the OST reverts back to being created %localappdata%MicrosoftOutlook . Once the user is in this state at every logoff the OST file is lost and next login it is recreated in %localappdata% and the OST is being rebuilt. When we found 120 of 450 staff in this situation it flooded our gateway for 2 hours as OSTs were being re-created every morning.
So we started cleaning them up. The only way was to:
Remote into the user’s sessionClose OutlookDelete outlook profilecreate outlook profilestart outlook
This would result in the OST file being created / updated again on our network share (\ServerODFC)
We are finding that some users are stable and remain in this state for one day, two days, one week, one month? there’s no logic or pattern.
Once the user reverts back to defaulting the OST to %localappdata% that it where it remains until we repeat the above steps.
We are pulling our hair out on this one.
Looking at the ODFC logs (FRXTRAY) when I review a user who breaks on that day their ODFC log is unremarkable. There’s nothing in there to suggest why or what is going on. When I compare the ODFC log from the same server on the same day for another user who didn’t break they’re identical (except for SIDs etc..)
We’ve even written a powershell script to start Outlook for the staff and the script basically does the following
Check reg ForceOSTPath exists; if not loopget ForceOSTPath value and check user can access if not looponce both conditions are true start outlook.
Even after adding this – it is still breaking randomly.
I’ve googled and nothing is coming up. Either this is unique to us? or I’m not asking / googling the right question.

Referencing a file in GitHub Copilot for Visual Studio
When you start a new project from scratch in Visual Studio, a few files get created. Many templates are available, for many types of applications, from simple console apps to complex web applications, as well as mobile, serverless, and many many more. All these projects consist of multiple files. You have your code files, containing the software that will be run, organized in classes, with often each class in its own file. You have the configuration files, be it JSON, XML, YAML or other. You may even have data files, embedded in the application when it’s built.
In the new video we just posted, my colleague Gwyn shows how you can use the Hash shortcut (#) to reference another file.
Context is everything
As we mentioned many times in this series, what makes a good Copilot output starts with a good prompt. But the prompt is more than “just” asking the large language model to do something. You also need to provide context. In AI parlance, we talk about “grounding” the model with data, or Retrieval Augmented Generation RAG.
Through its training, Copilot has access to general knowledge about the platform that you are using. It also has specific knowledge about libraries and frameworks. But what’s missing is your own private code, the code that the rest of the world doesn’t see. For example, you can let Copilot know that another file contains a series of methods that the current class can use.
In the example, Gwyn points Copilot to a JSON file containing data so a test can be generated. This adds precious context so that Copilot generates the correct code faster.

How define an Excel range in a conditional format with a range that increases
I have a spreadsheet with 1376 rows that is 6 years of daily data and with 2 columns: 1st=dates, 2nd=value. I want to do a conditional format that highlights the max value of the values for each year. I have this formula, and it works, but I want to add to the data set daily, which means I need to adjust the max row number every time I add a row of data. I would like a formula that adjusts to the size of the column automatically.
Here is my initial condition format that works, Column A are the dates. Col E is the data.
=$E2=MAX(IF(YEAR($A2)=YEAR($A$2:$A$1376),$E$2:$E$1376,””))
I could use count(A:A) to get the max row number, but how would I use that in the expression above? I tried to use the offset but I could not get that to work. Here is what I tried:
=$E2=MAX(IF(YEAR($A2)=YEAR(offset($A$2,0,0,count(A:A)+1,1)),offset($E$2,0,0,count(A:A)+1,1),””))
The +1 gets me past the title row.
Any help would be appreciated.

Generally available: Automation Update Management to Azure Update Manager migration tool
Azure Automation Update Management will be deprecated on 31st August 2024 as the Log Analytics agent it uses, also known as the Microsoft Monitoring Agent (MMA), will be retired. Therefore, if you are using the Azure Automation Update Management solution, we recommend that you move to Azure Update Manager before 31st August 2024. Follow the guidance to move your machines and schedules from Automation Update Management to Azure Update Manager.
Methods to move from Automation Update Management to Azure Update Manager:
First Method: Using automated migration tool (GA): This provides a minimal click, automated way to move resources. This tool migrates machines and schedules at an automation account level. You can click on “Migrate Now” from the deprecation banner in the portal and subsequently select an automation account. The tool will list all resources in the selected automation account that need to be moved. You can view details of the resources that need to be moved. Post that, it is a 3-step process as also shown in the screenshot below. Learn more.
Step 1: Prerequisites:
Onboard Non-Azure machines on to Azure Arc: Arc connectivity is a prerequisite for Azure Update Manager and hence you need to onboard all non-Azure machines on to Azure Arc.
Create user managed identity: Download and run a PowerShell script locally on the machine to create user managed identity with necessary permissions to carry out the migration process.
Step 2: “Migrate Now” button: It imports MigrateToAzureUpdateManager runbook into your automation account and then you can run the script. It moves all machines and schedules from Automation Update Management to Azure Update Manager.
Step 3: “Run clean up script” button: It imports clean up script DeboardFromAutomationUpdateManagement into your automation account and you can run it to deboard resources from Automation Update Management.
Second Method: Using automated migration scripts: You can move resources using automated migration scripts. This allows you to move resources in an automation account to Azure Update Manager in an automated fashion instead of manually migrating each resource. It is a scripts version of the portal experience explained above. Learn more.
Third method: Using manual migration guidance: If you have built automation/customizations on top of your Automation Update management solution, then using portal migration tool or migration scripts might not make sense for you and you would need to move resources manually from Automation Update Management to Azure Update Manager. What will happen post 31st August 2024 if you do nothing?
Automation Update Management will no longer be supported by Microsoft and the service will work for an undetermined time before it is shut down. This means that customers won’t be able to create any support cases on Automation Update Management post 31st Aug 2024. We strongly recommend that you move to Azure Update Manager before 31st August 2024. Any new onboarding to Automation Update Management will be blocked. The following actions will be prevented after retirement on 31st August 2024:
Creating a new schedule in Automation Update Management
Adding a new machine to an existing schedule
Enabling Automation Update Management on a new machine
Enabling Automation Update Management on a new Log Analytics workspace

The Excel calculated value is not matching the VBA calculated value.
EXCEL: COS(RADIANS(90)) = 6,12574E-17
VBA: COS(90 * (4 * ATN(1))/180) = 6.12323E-17
VBA: COS(WorksheetFunction.RADIANS(90)) = 6.12323E-17
But why is the floating number then different calculated in an Excel cell and in VBA?
Because now there is little offset in the value.
Rounding it with 4 digits is not really a solution when using accurate calculation when there is an interaction with an Excel calculated value and a VBA value.
It would be better if Excel gave the same answer COS(RADIANS(90)) = 6.12323E-17
But it gives no an answer 6.12574E-17
My suggestion is to use the same IEEE calculation error everywhere in the program.
