Windows App update for Remote Desktop on iOS and macOS
In an upcoming update for Remote Desktop on iOS and macOS, the client will have a new name: Windows App! Along with this new name, you will find an updated user interface and additional functionality. If you are currently using Remote Desktop on iOS or macOS, there will no disruption to business continuity. For more information, check out Windows App general availability coming soon.
A preview of the Windows App is now available in the Remote Desktop beta release, available from the App Center. To access the preview, follow the steps outlined in Get started with Windows App to connect to devices and apps. If you have general questions, you can ask community experts in Microsoft Q&A.
