Ending a reseller and MSP relationship
We had an inattentive MSP so we ended our contract with them in December of 2023. Unfortunately, this MSP is also listed as our MS365 reseller. I’ve been managing our system just fine without them and they provide no services. I’m not seeking vengeance against the MSP at all, I just want them gone so I do not have to deal with them again.
Is there a clean way for me to be rid of this reseller? Preserving our email system is of prime importance and this MSP seems petty enough to nuke the licenses rather than return control to us. I DO NOT want to lose our email system or our email addresses (we are a small government office and do not want to start the process to get approved for .GOV email addresses again). If I “Remove all partner roles and end the agreement” for this reseller in the partner relationship section of MS365 Admin Center, will anything happen to our email addresses? Is there a better way to accomplish this?
Thanks for any advice!
