Sending DDoS Alerts into Sentinel and Analytic Rule Error
I am attempting to activate a Sentinel analytic rule for DDoS incidents, specifically the rule named “DDoS Attack IP Addresses – Percent Threshold.”
However, during the rule activation process, I encountered an error message indicating that the scalar expression ‘destPublicIpAddress_s’ could not be resolved.
It appears that the Azure Diagnostic table does not contain a column named ‘destPublicIpAddress_s.’
I have configured the public IP address to send logs to LA
Is there anything I can do to receive DDoS alerts into Sentinel?
or to resolve analytic rules error?
The query referenced is here
let T1 = AzureDiagnostics
| where ResourceType == “PUBLICIPADDRESSES” and Category == “DDoSMitigationFlowLogs”
| summarize rows_count = count() by destPublicIpAddress_s, sourcePublicIpAddress_s;

VBA Code to Unhide All Columns When User Clicks on a Worksheet
Hello Everyone,
I am a basic Excel user attempting my first VBA macro and being reminded that simple <> easy (at least not for me).
Desired VBA outcome – When a user clicks on the “Data” worksheet tab, I want the macro to unhide any hidden columns, display columns A – ZZ, and only display rows 1-18. I used ChatGPT to start. Countless iterations later, this ChatGPT code displays the rows correctly but does not unhide the hidden columns and show all columns.
=========================ChatGPT=========================
Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
Dim ws As Worksheet
Dim col As Range
‘ Set the worksheet object to the “Data” worksheet
Set ws = ThisWorkbook.Sheets(“Data”)
‘ Hide all rows and columns
ws.Rows.Hidden = True
ws.Columns.Hidden = True
‘ Set the range for rows 1 to 18 and columns A to ZZ
Set rowRange = ws.Rows(“1:18”)
Set colRange = ws.Columns(“A:ZZ”)
‘ Unhide rows and columns
rowRange.Hidden = False
colRange.Hidden = False
End Sub
=========================================================
Any suggestions to fix this are greatly appreciated!

Office 365 People and groups in Forms
I was wondering is it possible to add question in a form to link to a persons or groups Office 365 ID.
I have a form which sets up a tasks for a project and one question on the form which relates to the task owner. Currently I have a list of email addresses in a choice field which gets converted in the flow used to create the planner tasks as well as an “Other” option . This opens the door for spelling mistakes or for other issues where people have odd email addresses.

Strange meeting invite issue hoping someone can help with
Our CEO has 5 Delegates configured in Outlook but only one receives actual meeting invites. I think the others were added just to give them Editor access to his Calendar. Something strange going on when his Delegate that gets the the invite is that the meeting does not show up as Tentative on his Calendar until the Delegate accepts it. Then it shows as Accepted. I have already verified it is NOT the Delegates workstation as when I add them as a Delegate to my mailbox, it works just fine. Something with his configuration that is preventing new meetings not showing as tentative when it hits the Delegates Inbox which is should. I have already checked all the obvious settings in Outlook and compared all the mailbox settings to mine and everything is the same. He does have an iPad and iPhone that he gets his email on. Everything else with his Calendar is just fine so it’s not corrupted in any way. His Delegate has no idea how long this has been going on and just noticed it by accident. Since she is the only one that processes his meeting requests, it’s not a really big deal but it should work. Any suggestions are welcomed as I am out of ideas. Could it be a problem with too many Delegates or maybe the iPad or iPhone? For what it’s worth, the in addition to being a Delegate to the CEO mailbox, they also have full access to the mailbox so it appears in their Outlook. Probably not related but wanted to mention it.

Aligning with the 2024 Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology annual conference in Chicago, on April 18 the Viva Glint team brought together about 20 customers across a variety of industries for an in-person roundtable discussion. It was wonderful to be live with our customers, and a great time was had by all participants.
“Sending a quick note to say thank you to the Microsoft team for the event at SIOP! It was great to see you, to get a peek of what is on the roadmap, and to make some great connections with other Glint customers. It was a fantastic event and well worth the time at our very busy SIOP event.”
During the event, we gained feedback on the product roadmap, learned about customer experiences and needs, split into breakout discussion groups on specific hot topics, and finished with time for customers to network and share best practices with one another.
A few highlights from the event that will impact the future direction of our product include:
Customers are excited about opportunities to more easily analyze data within the tool through cross-reporting and better multi-attribute filtering, reducing their reliance on Excel analysis and People Science support.
There is hunger for new aggregated views to offer insights on how managers are using Glint and how managers are utilizing emerging tools such as Viva Pulse and Copilot to ensure responsible usage.
Customers are very focused on action taking and would love to see more features to improve action identification and efficacy. There were ideas shared such as an open forum for leaders to share tips and tricks with one another and increased transparency of action plans to encourage accountability from everyone in the organization.
Many customers are focused on driving buy-in from their leadership teams and are accomplishing this through connecting results to key business outcomes.
Overall, customers loved the event and are eager to attend more of these types of sessions in the future. If you are a Viva Glint customer and would like to participate in our product council, in-person or virtually, please register here.

Copilot prompt history – mailbox location
This article states: Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 messages are automatically included in the retention policy location named Teams chats and Copilot interactions Then this article states that: Retention policies for the location Teams chats and Copilot interactions include user prompts to Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, and the Copilot responses to users. The article also mentions messages are stored in a hidden folder of an Exhange mailbox. I am trying to peek into this using MFCMAPI tool but cannot find the copilot integrations/prompts. How can I view what’s there?

On my home workstation, the only thing that I can get to appear on the lock screen is the “Weather and more.” I’ve tried every other option and nothing appears on the lockscreen…not mail or calendar or 3d viewer or anything. On my laptop, all is well. On my workstation, only Weather and More.
I’m not even sure how to troubleshoot this. Any help?

Virtual path maps to another application
First, I’m not sure if I am in the correct Forum please direct to proper forum if it is wrong.
I’m am getting the following error when I run my VS2019 WCF app. (Note it was originally written in VS2019)
The virtual path ‘/MyApp/MyService.svc’ maps to another application, which is not allowed.
Now, the app was working before, I think I upgraded to VS 2019 16.11.35 and this issue started to occur but I’m not sure. I have IIS 10 Express installed. I am lost why this is happening now. Can anyone offer insights or solution to this issue?
Thank you!

Released: April 2024 Exchange Server Hotfix Updates
Microsoft has released Hotfix Updates (HUs) that enable support for new functionality and address issues in the March 2024 Security Update (SU).
The April 2024 HU is available for the following builds of Exchange Server:
Exchange Server 2019 CU13 and CU14
Exchange Server 2016 CU23
New Features
The April 2024 HU introduce support for elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) certificates and hybrid modern authentication for Outlook on the web and ECP.
Support for ECC certificates
Starting with April 2024 HU, Exchange Server 2016 and Exchange Server 2019 now support ECC certificates except when used in Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) scenarios.
Hybrid Modern Authentication (HMA) for OWA/ECP
We are also announcing that starting with April 2024 HU, HMA for OWA/ECP is also supported. This feature requires Exchange 2019 CU14 + April 2024 HU (or later). Please see the feature documentation for more information.
Issues Addressed
The April 2024 HU also addressed issues that have been reported since the release of March 2024 Security Updates for Exchange Server. The following issues in the March 2024 SUs are addressed in this HU:
Download domains not working after installing the March 2024 SU
“We can’t open this document” error in OWA after installing March 2024 SU
Search error in Outlook cached mode after installing March 2024 SU
OwaDeepTestProbe and EacBackEndLogonProbe fail after installing March 2024 SU
Edit permissions option in the ECP can’t be edited
Outlook doesn’t display unread envelope icon after installing Microsoft Exchange Server March 2024 SU (Note: the fix resolves this issue for new messages, after April 2024 HU or later is installed)
My Templates add-in isn’t working after installing Microsoft Exchange Server March 2024 SU
Published calendars might not work with a “This calendar isn’t available” error after installing March 2024 SU
March 2024 SU issue that we still need to resolve:
Calendar printing in OWA might not work unless CTRL+P keyboard shortcut is used. We will address this in a future update.
April 2024 Hotfix Update FAQ
This is the first HU released for Exchange Server, so to help you decide if you should install this update, we have prepared the following questions and answers:
We installed the March 2024 SU. Should we install the April 2024 HU?
The April 2024 HU is an optional update, but it does also introduce support for ECC certificates and HMA for OWA/ECP. If you installed the March 2024 SU but did not experience any of known issues and you don’t need the new functionality, you do not need to install the April 2024 HU and can wait until the future SU (which will include known issue fixes from April HU).
We did not yet install the March 2024 SU. Do we have to install the March SU first before installing the April 2024 HU?
The April 2024 HU includes the same security updates as the March 2024 SU, while addressing known issues with the March 2024 SU. If you did not install the March 2024 SU, you can install the April 2024 HU directly and skip the March 2024 SU.
Our Exchange servers update automatically through Windows / Microsoft Update. We installed the March 2024 SU already. Will our servers automatically install the April 2024 HU?
The April 2024 HU will appear as an optional update for your servers.
Does the April 2024 HU contain any security updates not included in the March 2024 SU?
The security content of the April 2024 HU is the same as in March 2024 SU.
Will the two new features (support for ECC certificates and HMA for OWA/ECP) also be rolled into future updates, or must we install this specific HU to get them?
The April 2024 HU will be included in subsequent updates for Exchange Server. We are simply announcing that those two features are now supported starting with April 2024 HU.
Can April 2024 HU be uninstalled (if the need arises)?
Yes. HUs, like SUs, can be uninstalled.
Please see the March 2024 SU release blog post for installation tips and information related to security fixes included.
Documentation may not be fully available at the time this post is published.
This post might receive future updates; they will be listed here (if available).

Microsoft Excel Charts cannot be saved as image in Windows 11. Copy-paste charts no longer work
I’m trying to save the charts as svg or even just a png, but after I right-click > Save as Picture then select the filetypes, it just deletes the file right away and I can’t find it in the selected folder. I noticed that it’s been years in the community that the Save Image function has been experiencing a lot of issues.
Trying to copy-paste the chart into other programs (Powerpoint, Word, etc) also doesnt work.

Virtual career fairs match employers with skilled job seekers
When the Microsoft Learn Career Connected team realized that it was in a key position to connect two groups in need of an introduction—newly skilled job seekers and employers needing credentialed talent—the idea for virtual career fairs was born. The first Microsoft Learn Career Connected Career Fair was held in the United States in February 2024. This was initially a small pilot program, and now the team is rolling out career fairs worldwide to connect more employers and individuals skilled in Microsoft’s AI apps and services, Azure, and other emerging technologies. Attendees are members of the program’s talent coalition, a free-to-join community that connects job seekers, employers in need of talent, and organizations that provide skill-building and training opportunities. And the community is always looking for new members.
In kicking off the inaugural career fair, Holly Bilyeu, Microsoft Business Program Manager, quoted Jean-Philippe Courtois, Executive Vice President and President, National Transformation Partnerships at Microsoft, who has pointed out how the skills-first economy is reshaping the global workforce. “Tech skills have become an essential asset in the job market, especially as we enter an exciting new era driven by AI. This is why we must invest in skilling people right now and connecting them to meaningful jobs and career paths.”
A field of ‘up-and-coming talent’
Virtual career fairs are one more way that Microsoft is helping to bridge the gap between skills and opportunity. The day-long virtual event enabled employers to meet individuals who hold or are earning Microsoft Credentials—Certifications or Applied Skills. These validations are a helpful filter for employers, shining a spotlight on the next generation of skilled workers. As one recruiter points out, “We met with lots of up-and-coming talent.”
“Our ultimate goal is to enable our customers and partners to achieve more by finding skilled talent that meets their needs and to help learners get connected with job opportunities of the future,” explains Bilyeu. “Microsoft is not a recruitment company. But we know that our customers and partners are seeking skilled individuals, and we know the academic institutions that are producing valuable technical talent. We can now bring them together through these virtual career fairs.”
Employers at the event participate in the Microsoft Learn Career Connected talent coalition. Through this group, they get help addressing their immediate and future talent needs. They also get the opportunity to expand their talent pipeline—with workforce development partners, nonprofits, and the colleges and universities in the Microsoft Learn for Educators program. Plus, they can amplify their organization as an employer of choice.
After the career fair, participants shared valuable feedback that will be used to improve future events, but the virtual setup was an overall success. As one hiring manager comments, “We gained a lot of qualified candidates and look forward to the next event.”
A place where new skills get noticed
For job seekers, the career fair was a way to showcase their newly acquired skills, learn about available opportunities, and make an impression on hiring managers. The event offered a new way for these job seekers to get noticed. Attendees could make appointments to meet virtually with recruiters, apply for open positions and internships, and follow up on those connections. They could create virtual profiles, résumés, and business cards to show off newly minted credentials, such as the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate certifications. Other job seekers chose to demonstrate their proficiency in scenario-based Microsoft Applied Skills learning paths, including in-demand scenarios, like Build a natural language processing solution with Azure AI Language, Develop generative AI solutions with Azure OpenAI Service, and Build an Azure AI Vision solution.
In addition, the career fair introduced job seekers to business leaders and experts on a range of topics. Through webinars at the event, attendees learned about generative AI with Copilot in Bing, earning Applied Skills credentials, successful careers in Dynamics 365 Business Central, and building a stronger LinkedIn profile.
“The audience was thrilled with the webinars,” Bilyeu reports. “Microsoft’s goal was to open job seekers’ eyes to other avenues that are available.”
A community of opportunity
The Microsoft Learn Career Connected team is using the learnings from the first fair in the United States to enrich the experience for participants in the upcoming fairs (dates to be determined) in Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates.
Job seekers, including students finishing up college, recent graduates, and workers looking for a career change or reentering the work force, can go to the Microsoft Learn Career Connected site to get more information and join the LinkedIn group. There they can find support as they start learning about Microsoft’s AI apps and services, Azure, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or Microsoft Power Platform, among other technologies. Job seekers can also find information there about the next virtual career fair.
If you’re an employer looking to connect with skilled talent at job fairs and beyond, sign up for the Microsoft Learn Career Connected talent coalition. The program is always open to new members, and there’s no fee to join. Employers who have signed up for the talent coalition and want to join future fairs can fill out the Microsoft Learn Career Connected Career Fairs Exhibitor Request Application.
“Everyone’s looking for great resources,” Bilyeu adds. “We hope these virtual career fairs help organizations proactively find new talent.”
